Absolutely aweful service. Never use them. They have told me that they would be able to complete on two weeks and I clearly confirmed this before I could give the case to them. I did tell them I was away and wanted to complete before I go. The case handler did not pay attention to my case at all. They are coming and asking for last minute documents even though they confirmed that all was okay and they didn't need any more information from me. There was many times when the case handler told me that she would call me back with loads of messages left with the receptionist and there was no reply. She promises one thing and never does it. The waiting times for someone to answer your calls is more than an hour most of the time. There is no manager or complaints department that I can take the complaints to and they do nothing as well. The one star because they have a good portal. Never use them otherwise you will have to pay extra mortgage on your old lender and they would never complete on time.
They were so kind and patient with me while undergoing re-mortgage. They were quick and efficient with everything and I couldn't thank them enough, especially Mica Millington!
Pamela was my case handler and was fantastic! She answered all my questions promptly and was able to accommodate my request to complete urgently. Thank you Pamela!
Portal is fantastic for uploading documents and provides a to do list of what i needed to do...... However my original case handler was poor - not asking for key documents i would later need to complete. Also front office not passing on documents to my case handler when arriving by recorded delivery. The above two issues meant my completion date was delayed by 2 weeks. This cost me a months mortgage at inflated rates. Through the two weeks I tried repeatedly to get my case handler on the phone only to be told they were unavailable. Second case handler was fantastic but damage was done.
I understand the good reviews and why mine is an exception, if it goes wrong, it goes very wrong and an age to get sorted. It took so long to complete i had to pay my current provider an extra £320 because it fell outside the fixed fee period. I completed the online forms through the portal. but i kept getting links to log back in to complete, these links didn't work i kept getting the message "oops something went wrong" It took my broker 3 times to get this rectified and a new link to be sent out that worked. Because this IT issue has clouded my opinion and the extra cost to me i would not use by choice. Having said that if you do not have these issues, i suppose the company would do the business it was employed to do and have completed on time. When i mentioned the extra cost to the operator it was dismissed with "Sorry about that"
Gordons Propertly Lawyers were appointed by Natwest Bank for remortgage. I found their portal to upload documents and getting updates very good. All my messages were answered very promptly. Thank you
We have just completed the process of a remortgage and the what is usually a convoluted process was made so much easier through the GPL portal. Jessica from GPL was in communication throughout via the online portal and was always helpful and responded in a timely manner with any queries. The Case Questionnaire initially seemed a long winded prospect but actually this was very effective and saved so much time, given usually this would have been via posted communications. I would highly recommend the services of GPL.

I found the service very poor. I spent the whole time chasing for answers, rarely actually answering the questions. There appears to be automated responses !! Apart from one phone call, the lady was very helpful, but also noticed when she reviewed the file how poor the service was. If I need to deal with Nat West I will ask to deal with another professional firm
Great Service from GPL solicitors. Had a natwest remortgage. GPS were quick to respond to any queries, stuck to the original deadline and had a very clean and comprehensive online portal

We have done many mortgages over the years and have dealt with just about every national conveyancing practice out there. Gordons Property Lawyers have by a country mile been the best we have dealt with.
GPL were appointed via NatWest for our remortgage. I like the on-line portal - communication was clear. Also, spoke to an advisor too. Only issue is their website was down from Thursday to Sunday (2nd Oct 22) which meant we couldn't access the messages. Hence one-star dropped - but expect this to be a very rare occurrence. Overall pleased with the service.
Unfortunately I found Gordons slow, unhelpful and unresponsive and will never use them again. Natwest chose to use them for my remortgage which was very straightforward. They were unwilling and unable to deal with my financial advisor, who normally takes charge on these things. They also insisted upon me filling in forms he would normally do with his knowledge and experience. Their online portal spammed me with daily automated emails, some of which were unnecessary and cause unwanted stress. They have sent another one today claiming there is an important update on the file and when I logged in it was simply to say the case has been closed(the remortgage already happened last week). I never got an introductory phone call or email from a staff member, it was all based around a robotic system so if you have a more complicated or detailed mortgage it could likely prove difficult contacting them and could lead to hold ups. Based on my experience I would look elsewhere.
