Mar 31,2025I ordered 1kg of pistachio Karaköy Gulluoglu baklava from Grand Turkish Bazaar, they delivered it in two working days to my home address as promised. It was spot on so far.. however when I tasted the baklava it was no where near the taste of Karaköy Gulluoglu, it was really questionable taste and quality of the genuine Karaköy Gulluoglu that I am personally familiar with during my 26 years time in Istanbul. I e-mailed the Karaköy Gulluoglu themselves to get confirmation if Grand Turkish Bazaar company was their official authorised re-seller selling genuine baklava, it has been 3 days I haven’t heard from them. However my overall experience shopping with the company has been a disappointment.

Mar 30,2025My experience is generally great, except that I can't ever get my order ship early in the week to get it to me on Friday or Saturday. I can place order on Thursday or Friday and it will still ship late in the next week. Otherwise food is great, fresh and reliably delivered.

I am trying to figure out why does the wrapper they sent me look different from the ingredient list on the website and we all know these bars are suppose to have pistachios in them, so check out what is on the list on the wrapper( I wrote this thinking I could upload a picture.)No where does it say pistachios. The list is Milk Chocolate,natural vanilla flavoring, peanut butter lantep nuts (not sure what lantep nut means, but know about peanuts), sugar vegetable oil, emulsifier, kadayif, and tahini. So I am very irritated and have no patience for this. I sent an email on the website last night because this chocolate bar tastes like peanut butter and it was 20 dollars a bar.The more I think about it the madder I get. Need a refund. *Reply to Company*: Thanks for the quick reply back, but it still tastes like peanuts. It says on the wrapper peanut butter lantep nuts. Pistachios and peanuts do not have the same flavor profile so that is not going to fly. I went ahead and wrote this review so people would not pay for this mess. This candy is way too expensive to have a taste of any sort of peanut butter! Saying it is a legit Dubai candy bar is your reasoning to not refund me. I get it. People, please listen to me and do not buy these.
