Bought a pair of trousers but the size was far too small. Lost £10 by having to return them. My mistake - not the size, since I bought another pair elsewhere (same size) that fitted well. My mistake was using them at all. I see they've replied. Nearly all companies I have used in the past have no-charge return labels, especially if they have iffy sizes. Nobody else charges a 'Protect my order' fee. Their email service is obviously quick and efficient but penalising customers with an over £10 hit is bad, old-school type policy in my opinion. Pray, what is the 'Protect my order' charge for? Despite prompting, there is no attempt to explain what the 'Protect my order' charge is for. The sizing of the trousers I bought made them 'not fit for purpose'. Customers' rights and payments ought to be protected in such a case.

I had to return the item as it didn’t fit, my refund was £10 less than the purchase price which is excessive, very unhappy with the service.

needed an exchange because coat asnt a good fit and there were problems resulting in a more than 2 week wait but sorted eventually. I bought the Jack Murphy Long Raincoat. Decent garment but for such an expensive coat I was disappointed with the angled side pockets which did not have a flap or zip so water can run in. I normally order XL but needed 3XL for a decent fit. Other than the pockets problem. a very waterproof coat.

Ordered a gilet for a very fair price. Was dispatched the following day, Royal Mail tracked. Arrived a couple of days later - evrything correct and well packaged. Cannot fault the service. Would highly recommend.

Ordered a coat for Christmas, however, it wasn't suitable and returned it only to find out I have been charged £10.04 for returning it! That was £4,95 return postage, £4 just for returning it and £1.09 for the protect my order which I did not agree too. After a couple of emails letting them know I was unhappy about the excess charge, they agreed to refund half of the £4 and £1.09 protect my order, This still meant it had cost me £6.95 for returning it, more than the normal postage of £4.95! What a rip off! I will not be buying from this company again! Be aware before purchasing anything from this company because there is an high charge for returning it if you just require a refund.

Always wary of using a new company on line but Hollands Country Clothing were brilliant. My order came in 2 days by post and the jacket fits really well and a quality product.

The wellingtons were delivered within days of my order. They are top class quality and the recipient of the Christmas gift was delighted with them. I ordered a size too small and Hollands have helped me to return the wellies by replying to my request for information within 12 hours

Excellent, helpful and friendly customer service. I was really hoping my last minute Xmas present would arrive on time for my granddaughter and the help I got to try and make this happen was brilliant. I left a message and wasn't expecting to get a response in time but I was called back the same day and although no guarantees could be made my postage option was upgraded and it did arrive on time. Thank you so much

So far no contact has been made and I'm still waiting for my order. Have sent an email in today which is apparently quicker them phoning according to the answer phone message, which is all I get when I ring. So I assume that's £50 down the drain now then. If I get no response by the weekend I will be contacting my bank and reporting as fraud I think by the look of these reviews

Hoggs of Fife Windowpane Waterproof Tweed Flat Cap. Ordered one on line, it arrived within the stated time scale & felt great on. However on closer examination I found it to be defective. A hole between the peak & body of the cap, the stitching had become undone. Contacted the company by telephone, explained the situation and requested a replacement. Melissa arranged for a replacement, without question. As I live close to their warehouse & to save postage I arranged to pick up the replacement and return the defective cap in person. A few days later I received a message saying the replacement was ready for collection and to bring the defective one back. This was all done with the minimum of fuss, the staff were helpful & polite. I have since bought other items from them, all arriving on time with no faults. Thanks Holland Country Clothing, recommended.

Ordered a travel mug on 10th December which stated a 3-5 working day despatch, so it should have left by Friday 15th at the latest, well before the recommended last second class postage date. Today I was informed that my order had been cancelled as there was no stock, half a week after it was due to have been despatched, making it incredibly difficult now to find an alternative that will arrive before Christmas. All that was offered was an apology, no alternative product or anything to compensate for their mistake. The item is still for sale on the website so they seem happy to take more orders they are unable to fulfill. It seems that both their despatch timescales and stock system are totally unreliable so I can't recommend ordering.

Refunded me without informing me. leavening me a week to find a replacement. Did not know until i saw it in my bank account. maybe email your customers if you decide to cancel a order!

Great site, prompt delivery but disappointingly poor-quality clothing – purchased three (apparently heavy-duty) shirts none of which are finished correctly with unsightly stitching, particularly across the chest pockets, giving the appearance of one of the shirts to be attached inside out, and excess thread from every button, buttonholes are seemingly incomplete too. Happy to provide images. Unimpressed to say the least.

Worst experience ever . I ordered boots over a week ago now and paid so they would be delivered within 2/4 days max. Also paid extra for postage protection. Emailed several Times amd Left voicemails as they do not answer the phone. No response whatsoever openings dispute . They are saying they emailed me on Friday, yet that was 5 days after purchase. Don't take peoples money and make them wait 5 days for an email to say they are out of stock. Absolutely terrible company . Now I have to find them from elsewhere and hope I get them in time for my grandson for Christmas. Never will one this company again. The customer service is horrendous. INWAS INLY REFUNDED AFTER OPENING A DISPUTE WITH THE BANK FOR THIS PURCHASE. if you had known that it was out of stock the money should have been refunded but I had to wait and Open a dispute to get a refund. I checked spam and there was no email except from today when I opened a dispute and you had to respond!

Ordered an expensive item online on 29 November. The dispatch was noted as 2-4 working days. Funds taken from my account on 30 November. Still no sign of dispatch of the item. I have tried to speak to someone on the phone, but can only leave a voicemail message and no-one has returned my call. Was told via email yesterday that the item is expected into their warehouse today, but I have heard nothing today. I have sent a further email to ask for an update and no response received. They have now had my money for over a week and I have no item to show for it and no sign of it arriving any time soon or a refund being actioned. This item was for a birthday present and the birthday has been and gone. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. Do not use this company. Very poor customer service. Would not recommend. Shop elsewhere.

I wish I had read the reviews on this site before I ordered from this company. Poor customer service. I received a delivery that was sealed with the companies label clearly stuck on the outside. It had not been tampered with. I opened it to find one of the items I had ordered had been replaced with boxes of paper. I reported that I had received the wrong item. Please could they rectify this and refund or send me the correct item. I was patient while they investigated which took three days. The message back was the item was scanned and packed and had been seen on CCTV. So no further action would be taken. It does not explain how a clearly sealed package with the companies label stuck to it was delivered to me with the wrong items. So through no fault of my own I am a Christmas present down and £20 out of pocket.

Very disappointed ordered a quilted jacket. Too small size was unreal on fitting. Returned it and basically they took £10 off my refund so I paid postage both ways . Absolutely scandalous never ordering again.

This is the second time I’ve brought from this company. Great clothing, good quality, and if the item might come in a tad smaller than the standard, small, medium etc, it tells you in the description so you can adjust the size ordered. If only more companies would do this! I was kept well informed all the way through the process and both my parcels were delivered quickly. Really pleased with what I brought, will definitely buy from them again. Highly recommended.
