Thanks also to Alec in the office for helping rearrange my test at short notice (through no fault of J Coates). These two are a credit to the company and I would wholeheartedly recommend J Coates for all your training needs.

Jul 07,2023Couldn’t recommend Lewis at J Coates enough, passed my C+E 1st time no issue. From Monday to Thursday the training is was busy but Lewis coached me through learning how to manage a C+E lorry but now I feel more than confident managing one so I can’t thank Lewis and J Coates enough!

Jul 04,2023I passed my Arctic c+e today and am over the moon about it. I have had other instructors and have failed my test multiple times I had one days training with Shoaib Mohammed and have never been more throughly corrected as to what I'm not doing correctly and was given lots of tips on how to do things to test standard and passed my test with only two minors am extremely happy with his teaching method.

Jul 02,2023I recently had the opportunity to take driving lessons with a C1 driving instructor. The instructor's knowledge, expertise, and patience greatly contributed to my success in obtaining the C1 driving license. First and foremost, the instructor's knowledge of the C1 driving category was outstanding. Tristan were well-versed in all the rules and regulations specific to driving vehicles over 3.5 tons, and they shared this knowledge in a clear and comprehensive manner. His ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms made it much easier for me to understand and apply them during the lessons. Another aspect that impressed me was the instructor's expertise. They had a vast amount of experience in teaching C1 category driving and displayed great mastery over different driving techniques required for larger vehicles. Their guidance enabled me to build confidence while handling maneuvers such as reversing, parking, and navigating through tight spaces. The instructor's expertise really shone through their ability to adapt the lessons to my individual needs and learning style, ensuring I progressed at a comfortable pace. Overall, I highly recommend the HGV driving instructor I had the pleasure of learning from, and the company J Coates. Their knowledge, expertise, patience, and ability to provide constructive feedback created a positive and effective learning experience. Thanks to their guidance, I now feel confident and competent when driving large vehicles. If you're looking to obtain a HGV driving license, or any other driver training courses, that this company and instructor is certainly worth considering.

So would like to say thank u mo . And to John an taff for taking over when mo could not have me for the last two days, all I can say is thank all 3 absolute aces would recommend all 3 to any one

Jun 16,2023I was booked in for my Cat D1 License to drive the minibus for the college, the correspondence I got from the team at Coates was second to none. my Instructor Ian was brilliant! he managed to erase 20 years of bad driving habits in just 8 hours, very knowledgeable and delivered the training at a good pace. Highly recommendable company for any of your driving needs.
