Dec 13,2022I used J.Coates to achieve my Class 2 HGV licence. I Couldn’t have been any more impressed with my instructor Rob Pearson, who took me for the Class 2 reversing module as well as the driver training. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional as well as very patient! Passed first time, result!!

I passed my class 2 earlier on this summer and now I’ve just passed my class 1 with 2 minors all credit to Rolly for being a great instructor that he is and I’d highly recommend JC COATES for their services and quality instructors. Dec 07,2022Had an intensive day and a half training and passed first time . Got trained by Lewis . Great guy . Gives you lots of tips while driving . Never over complicated anything . Taught me all the basic HGV skills and like I said I passed first time . Really pleased . The rest of the staff come across as a decent bunch of guys too .

Dec 03,2022First time pass today for Class 2 rigid after a couple of days with Taff. Couldn't be more pleased with the result and instruction given with a calm and professional approach from Taff with a great sense of humour to support me and calm my nerves. I would recommend Taff to anyone thinking of HGV instruction towards test. Thankyou Taff and J.Coates.

Dec 02,2022Great company. Lewis was very patient with me even when I had a bit of a melt down in the first day. He was honest and fair which I think was the reason why I passed first time with just one minor. I could have a laugh and a joke with him. He gave me great advice, hints and tips on how to pass the test. Shout out to Chris and everyone else that worked there. I didn’t get everyone’s name but they were all really welcoming to me and Joan. Only fault I would say is time management. I had to travel 160 miles round trip to get to J Coates, so when I’m told a 0700 start, I expect to start at 0700 not 0730 or 0745 and to have a full 3 hour lesson and not to be cut short. Thankfully I wasn’t paying for this or I would have been complaining.

Dec 14,2022Prior to speaking to J Coates,I had reached out to a couple of HGV training firms. However,J Coates offered me a reasonable price and on very good terms to suit my availability. Right from the first training at St Albans to the practical training in Leicester, I found them to be a firm of true professionals eager to see their clients succeed. My instructor Simon made the training fun and relaxing, using different approaches to help me build my confidence. Steve, another instructor who took me to the test ground was also wonderful. I passed the C+E test at first trial.
