Nov 12,2022Hi, I am writing this review to say THANKS to the lovely team at J Coates in Leicester and especially my instructor Kevin as well as Tess and John. Special thanks to Darren Pell with his immediate support over the course. These guys work hard and make the impossible to get the job right and never let me hesitate into gaining my CPC. I had the pleasure to pass my driving test today and it was my third attempt which I think is amazing because I had learned from mistakes and turned them into lessons. Well done, team! You are the best! Keep safe!

Nov 12,2022I have just had my class 1 training with J Coates this whole week starting from 7 November 20222 to Friday 11 November 2022 and today was my practical driving test and I passed with only one minor. This is all credit to my trainer Rowland Hulls who has been very patient, very professional and super helpful. He had lots of confidence in me from day the I started my lessons with him and that made me more confident and determined I will pass. Huge thank you to Rowland and J Coates who has amazing trainers. Thank you once again, Harem.

Nov 09,2022Had Lewis as my trainer, really lovely guy, was knowledgeable about the job and taught me really well. Made me feel calm and comfortable throughout all the training and was a great support! Also great to have a chat and laugh with! Passed the exam first go with only 1 minor! Would definitely recommend Lewis as a trainer to anyone looking to pursue their HGV/LGV license!

He made me rethink my whole driving style and guided me through every lesson leaving me feeling confident to go into my test. Thank you so much Lewis! Anna x

Nov 08,2022Just want to say a massive thanks to guys as i did my hgv training all with chris fox and tbe guys at uxbridge. Extremely helpful and experienced after cpc mod 4 and mod 3a came the main test and without the help from chris i wouldnt of smashed it and passed first time thanks again definitely recommend.

Nov 16,2022I applied for class 1 hgv license with J Coates November 2021 and I managed to pass my practical test in November 2022 however with a different company, Non reliable company, only after taking your money and very disrespectful. I passed all my Theory exams before match 2021 and I was ready to go, J Coates booked me in for reversing training and test end of May also for my training and driving test first week of June, Passed my reversing certificate (valid for 6 months) and I was extremely excited for my training and practical test but a day before I received a call from J Coates saying that they have a virus within the company and they have to cancel my test and my training, Me and my wife we booked holiday for 5 days each ( for me to be able to attend the training and my wife to look after our child) it was already too late to cancel it. After arguing with them I decided to accept as “is not their fault “. They mentioned that I’m going to be booked in in July and I accepted, then I received a callback saying that is not available in July and they booked me in September, I looked around and I couldn’t find any other replacement company as my reverse certificate was running out. I did my training (driving for 2 day 8 hrs and 1 of 4 hrs ,too tiring and too tight, And of course i failed my test, called them back and they booked me in midday of October, I went for my second attempt, the examiner refused to test me bcos the left and side door couldn’t be open from outside, the company was aware of the issue for a month time but they still decided to use a vehicle crossing over the legal and safety conditions. I called them back and I asked them to book me as soon as possible otherwise they will be the one to cover all the expenses needed for me to pass, considering the fact that my reverse certificate was due to expire in a month time, They manage to book me in 3 day time , “how did they do it ?” Big question, I was just about to pass but I failed on not cheating the blind spots as I was not told to do it properly, they never showed me how to properly do it, I called them back and they said, unfortunately we have no dates at the moment and to look for a different school they might have something available, after spending 4 grand, 10 days of my annual leave and almost a year, I took from good all the surrounding driving companies and I finally found someone to book me in quickly, the catch was to do few hours with them too, costing me another 1.2k, I passed my test on the 8/11/22 before my reverse to expire not thanks to J Coates. Before getting the hgv school package from J Coates I asked if they will be able to help me find a job, “ j Coates told me that they will schedule a few interviews for me” I passed my test and I called them Back and I asked if they know any company/agency who might recruit new drivers, J Coates answered me very rude We are a driving school not a recruiting company! I will let you take the conclusion after my horrible experience with J Coates.
