Respectfully and professionally the dealers are doing a great job in always helping me to meet my needs with a car
Easy booking system. Polite and professional service. Reasonably priced.
Excellent experience buying an MG from J&P. Aidan was great to deal with..incredibly helpful and knowledgeable
I bought a 181 car 2 years ago. At the service I let the person know that the car seemed to need more oil. The person at the desk informed me, when I questioned her, that this might mean that the car needs a new engine. Subsequent to that I was simply asked to do an oil consumption test and told to come back after 1000km. I am annoyed because I bought this car from Johnson and Perrott. I have had it serviced regularly. And now I am told that it might need a new engine.
Great and wonderful people to deal with. Sean was very helpful 👏 👌.
We bought a new Peugeot 3008 from J&P last September. In the 6 months we have had the car the engine management light has come up twice meaning the car had to be transported back to the garage for software updates. Trying to get any information from Johnson & Perrott is proving very difficult. Would I recommend to anyone to buy a car from J&P? Not a chance - not if you value after sales service
MG4 1st service. Following service DC charging would not function, discovered while on drive from Cork to Dublin. Fortunate that AC charging available at Cashel but aŕrived in Dublin very delayed. Car sent to another dealer by MG in Dublin to have fault repaired. Was told that a representative from J&P would call/email but heard nothing from dealer yet to understand why car was released without DC charging being checked.
As I had bought my Peugeot 2008 last year at the dealership I decided to get it serviced there for the first time. After the service I was handed a supplementary estimate for installation of front and rear brake pads and discs. The cost of this proposed additional work amounted to ~€900. This news was broke to me by a front of house admin person rather than a service staff member from the actual garage. Such was the cost and without photographic evidence presented to back up such defects I unsurprisingly declined to take them up on this! Instead I went for another assessment of the pads and discs condition. The left rear pads and by extension the left rear disc were completely worn but tellingly the pads in the other 3 wheels had the potential of another year of motoring. It raises the question how all the other brake pads were ok with the same exertion of brake force?! Another question is raised on the condition of the left rear pads when the car was released for purchase on 01.06.23? The dealership was excellent to deal with when I bought the car, however their willingness to place exorbitant and unnecessary cost on me on my first service lead to an unpleasant customer experience.
Efficient and professional. Dan O Neill was who I dealt with. All arrangements were very smooth.
Car service Fast and efficient
Final report in detail but communication on late completion of service v agreed time could improve
Efficient and helpful. Arranged to drop us to work at a nearby location.
Fast and efficient service from the team at Johnson and Perrot.
Great sales experience, Aidan was excellent to deal with. Any issue was taken care of. Highly recommend Johnson and Perrott Mahon.
Edit: contrary to the reply below, I have not heard from J&P since I first published this review. The reply is disappointing to say the least. Purchased my Peugeot 3008 from J&P in June 2023. Overall pleasant experience with John in sales. Had to get the car valeted myself on pickup because there was a musky smell. Several issues with the car over the next few weeks which were resolved by J&P free of charge but awkward because I had to keep driving out to get things repaired/replaced. In Aug 2023, I had to pay for a new rear reflector lense but Jane in service went above and beyond to get the part in time for NCT retest. At the same time, there was a knocking that can be felt in the sterring wheel and pedals. Jane organised a mechanic(Jimmy, 40 years of experience) to drive it with me and he confirmed the knocking was there. Told to bring it back if it got worse. March 2024, bring the car back for full service at ~€350 and further preventative works such as timing belt, exhaust bracket, brake discs totalling €1400. Got in the car after these works, knocking still there. Explain to service desk that the knocking is there and that their mechanic with 40 years experience confirmed same back in Aug 2023. Asked for this to be investigated and resolved, explained I was happy to pay for the repair once root caused. Told that the shop was too busy and only 30 mintues could be accomdated before I would have to start paying for investigation. Asked if I could get the same mechanic from last time to confirm what he had seen but was told he is actually going to his well earned retirement party. Asked if the service manager could go for a drive with me to catch the knocking. Couldn't repeat the issue in the car park and it was closing time so I had to leave deflated. In the end told that there was nothing they could really do without charging extra. I felt like a nuisance to J&P even after spending nearly €1.8k on service and repair only to be told,"come back when it's worse". Honestly what started as a 5 out of 5 experience, became a 3. This knocking spoils the drive of my car everyday and I can't justify spending more money when it was on the ramp, on diagnostics and already confirmed by an experienced mechanic prior to that visit. In fairness, Jane in service and John in sales are great to work with and brought the review back up from a 1, but that last experience with the service department, and servce manager was too poor to justify going back for a service or new car.
Keep up the good work!
Bought a car in Douglas road it was a year old nothing but trouble engine blew in France no support what so ever from Johnson and Perrot only contact Kia non available break down services it has to be the worst ever customer care in the whole of Ireland, only for Stephen in Douglas road I would have taken them to court the man needs a medal, take a customers view with a bad experience……….stay clear
