Apr 08,2017I have been investing for about 5 or 6 months now and I've received my interest every month. I believe the interest paid is better than most banks and the website is easy to use and understand, this makes investing for novice users like myself get comfortable. Would recommend and already recommend friends.

Feb 07,2017I was a bit skeptical of peer to peer stuff (I'm a newbie at it), but my brother and I have both invested via LendInvest for a year now and so far I have no complaints. I haven't used them for loans so can only review them as an investor, but I've recommended them to a couple of friends now and they are so far happy. They answer all my questions quickly (I had quite a few at the start) and their platform is very straightforward to use. So yeah, I'm a happy customer.

Nov 18,2016If you're looking at peer-to-peer lending then LendInvest should be on your list. Easy to set up an account and the minimum investment per loan is £100. All loans are secured against property which gives you a good amount of security. On the down side: the number of loans is very small, the interest rates tend to be lower than the likes of Funding Circles property loans and once lent you are unable to sell your loan part to other lenders. At present you are unable to lend via an IF ISA.

Nov 17,2016So far my 3 months experience has been entirely positive. The website works well and the investments are always well documented in order that I can make as informed a decision as possible. Clearly these are not risk free investments, but the asset backed nature means It feels less like a gamble and more like a sensible risk / reward decision. So far, admittedly after only a few months, interest has been paid promptly on the 1st of the new month. Providing you do understand that this is not risk free, I believe it offers a compelling option in the P2P space.

Nov 17,2016It's easy to invest with LendInvest. Terms and conditions are explained clearly and their website is user friendly and uncluttered. Importantly you don't invest in a long term bond - typical investments are up to 12 months only meaning you'll have access to your cash sooner and you can then choose to withdraw or reinvest. All money is invested in property not businesses which for me means a safer investment and the property you invest in is explained with statistics such as loan to value rate, etc. All risk is clearly explained. So far I've not had any issues at all. Interest is promptly added to your account at the beginning of every month and you can then either withdraw it or leave it to increase interest. The website has a new popup live chat and so far my contacts with customer services were quickly responded to. I've managed to get an interest rate on my combination of investments of just under 7% and this is paid gross monthly leaving you to declare income and tax yourself. You can get up to 8% interest but these offers go very quickly. There are two levels of investment and this is clearly explained before you invest. Overall I'd recommend this company for this kind of investment. It's the best I've found after doing some research

Oct 27,2016LendInvest have really lost their way with the recent changes to the platform. The new investor website is slow, over simplified, has significantly reduced capability and today they announced they have cut another very important feature: automatic withdrawals of interest. Its now much harder work to operate the platform and for users who want a regular income you have to make the withdrawals manually. The old website was demonstrably better and the loss of automatic interest withdrawals is just crazy. I don't know if there is new leadership but something bad has happened. I am considering unwinding my investments and taking my money elsewhere as I don't like the direction things are going.

Sep 14,2016I am young with not a large disposable income, supporting myself financially on a monthly basis is achieved by careful budgeting and planning ahead. In the last eight months I have been interested in investment options for people with little capital, stocks looked interesting but I did my own research and calculations, it works out great with a nice big lump sum. With LendInvest I have been able to put small amounts of money away that give me bigger returns than my ISA. Of course there are some disadvantages to this in terms of risk and tax but I feel the benefits outweigh the risks. The service is incredibly easy to use and I feel if I have an issue it will be resolved with little hassle, this is definitely the future of investing. I will say also, that I have only been with LendInvest for a few months, so to the reader I suggest that you read someone's more seasoned review over mine.
