A good platform however the lack of a secondary market ie. not being able to sell all or parts of existing loans to other lenders is not good. The loans are secured against property which is a good thing in my view however the majority of interest rates are between 6% to 8% where other platforms with the same lending criteria ie. loans where the security is also against property with same/similar LTV levels are offering on average between 12% & 13% and at times up to 15%. I would honestly say that Lend Invest need to review these two major points to become more competitive in the market to attract more lenders.
My dealings with LendInvest have been good. The website is easy to use and the returns are great when compared to many other savings products and are relatively low risk. Now that the threshold is £1000, rather than the original £10,000 it is even more attractive to use.
What to say.........great product, excellent customer service, can't wait to buy shares in the IPO. Hoping existing clients get priority !! :) Regards Stephen Price
All good so far, getting an average rate of 7.55% annualized returns on loans under 12 months. Could be a bit quicker processing payments into the account, but loan part purchases are processed straight away.
My experience with LendInvest has been second to none. I have used other P2P lenders before and I have found that LendInvest has been the most professional service so far. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to any of my friends and family.
Used to be my favorite P2P platform. Recently there have been far too many late payers and current interest rates are way below what can be found elsewhere in the P2P space. I'm moving my money out!
Why look further? It is part of my portfolio.
Like Lendinvest for the fact that you don't have your money tied up too long and this is largely secured property lending. They are perhaps a bit behind the curve of the biggest P2P lenders but catching up fast and constantly evolving the platform and offering which is a good sign. Recommended.
I am a newcomer on a toe dipping exercise, so can only comment on my limited experience during the last few weeks. The website is easy to navigate, with plenty of information, and an invitation to contact LendInvest with any queries. Signing up was relatively simple, although I was asked for additional proof of identity, possibly because I prefer to keep my Electoral Register info out of the spammers' reach. I have loaded my account on three separate occasions, and each time the credits from the bank were picked up within minutes of the stated twice daily check times. There has been a good choice of investment opportunities, with a reasonable description for each one. Once selected, the online purchase contract was displayed, and with the "click to agree" button activated, funds were transferred out of the holding account and into the portfolio immediately. I have had two interest payments so far - both credited to my holding account on the first of the month. I have opted for the automatic payment method, and one was transferred out by the "Faster Payments" procedure, although the other took a couple of days to find its way to my bank, but not a very great hardship to have to bear. All in all, a pleasant experience so far, and if the routine stuff is working well, confidence follows. I would have awarded five stars, but I reserve that in case or until the non routine stuff reaches the air conditioning and any cleaning up goes exceptionally well.
Very easy to use/invest and review portfolio/returns.
I joined Lendinvest about a year ago and I have seen significant improvements on the platform since then. It is easy to use and has good graphics. Interest rates went rather low and then (I suspect because of competition) have started to improve - 8.5/9.0% should be the average, not maximum available. I also see little obvious logic or correlation between interest rates and LTV/Term? I've seen 75% LTV with very low interest rates (6.0/6.5%) yet 40/50% LTV with 8.0/9.0% (with similar duration)?? My only significant and enduring complaint is the ongoing inability to pay into the platform via Debit Card (this was promised for months but has still not arrived). I can pay into other platforms this way (FC for example) and one (Saving Stream) even allows me to make an instant payment anytime - and follow up with the hard cash within 24 hours. This clearly isn't 'rocket science' - but Lendinvest are seriously behind the curve here. Overall, much improved - but note comments above.
When thinking about this review I truly could not find ANYTHING that was negative or to be warned about. The minimum investment was as close to an issue as it got, and even that has now been dealt with by coming down to £1000. This truly is an investment platform with no rivals
Easy to use High potential returns with managed risk due to the platform taking a first interest in the property Using a number of different investments also allows you to spread risk as well as making trade-off between LTV and interest rate I would like the platform to provide a consolidated tax statement at the end of each tax year as well as a simple summary of total amount I have invested in my portfolio as currently I have to do these manually, but apart from that am very impressed with the process
I have been with Lendinvest for about 8 months now & am very pleased with their rates & also their regular contact with their customers
Provide tax statements, option for e-mail notification of new loans, copies of valuation reports (redacted), generally more info on loans
Easy website to use. Reasonable flow of projects. Clear and quick accounting. Good returns in present absurd banking climate. As yet, very safe investments - but risks are clear for any investor.
I have invested in Lendinvest for a few months so far and am happy with the way things operate. My interest gets promptly allocated to my Lendinvest account on a monthly basis and takes 1 day to reflect in my bank account after drawing it out.
As a retired man in my late fifties I have been investing in in several p2p platforms for more than a year and receiving a very attractive income from my capital. When I did my evaluAtion I was impressed by RateSetter, Wellesley and lendinvest and decided to use them to balance different periods of investment and risk reward ratios. I remain very happy with my decisions and impressed by the returns that I recieve especially from lendinvest who give a solid reliable return. Since my first investment the minimum investment has been substantially reduced from 10k to 1k making the the company much more attractive to the average investor and I look forward to tax free developments with isa type products. Highly recommmed for high yield medium term investments as part of a diverse portfolio and much more attractive than annuities, stocks, shares and bonds.
I have just invested 5000 GBP to see how Lend invest performs . All seems to be going well at the moment . I would feel more secure if there was a reserve fund such as Zopa uses
