I have recently been introduced to Lendinvest by my brother and find it a very useful platform for making better utilisation of my money which was languishing at paltry interest rates in a building society. The only reservation I had was that the loans on offer were not near the advertised "average" rates. However, these are moving targets and I look forward to improvements. WIth my experiences to date I would definitely recommend Lend invest
Lendinvest has a really easy to use website that sets out available loans in a simple manner showing all the information you need: interest rate, LTV, maturity date. It is then really easy to invest in any loan. They then send out a regular interest statement on the 1st of the month showing exactly how much interest you have earned on each loan making it all very easy and straightforward to understand. Whenever I have had to contact them I have always spoken to real people who are relaxed, easy going and genuine, no scripts, no glib answers and no waffle. Any problems have been resolved quickly and efficiently. And finally, they offer interest rates way above what you would get from a bank or building society. The premise is simple, they facilitate an agreement between lenders and borrowers without an army of hangers on looking for their cut. It works and I love them.
I am waiting for a sale of a house before I can invest. In the meantime, I keep a close watch on the available deals. It looks a very good niche in the market - the loan is manageable for the borrower as it is short term, and good for the investor as it gives a healthy return John Ward
Providing you buy their spiel that they have never lost money on a loan (including their previous bridging finance company) then 7% is great. The £10K minimum per loan is too much for most people, they've been promising for ages to reduce it but we're still waiting Some people say there are problems with (is it the site or the accounting, don't emember - see p2pindependentforum.com ) I would like an automatic withdrawal of interest rather then letting it moulder until i remember to withdraw it.
I wonder about the property valuations and the quality of the type of borrower. I need to find out about these before putting money at risk. Peer to peer lending is an interesting and logical way forward. I hope it becomes mainstream.
An annual return of 7% is excellent. The website is easy to navigate, and the lending model is easy to understand. I like the idea of short term loans, and the fact that I can choose to reinvest as each loan period ends. I am investing in three properties, spreading the risk, but I believe this is very small due to the high loan to value ratio.
This company makes it easy to invest in property investment deals and as such I believe thus far that it offers a good return on investment with security. So far I have no hesitation in recommending this company for peer to peer lending to any friends I talk to. I am impressed with the efficient way it shows account details and the speed at which monthly payment is made to the lender. I rate this company as one of the best peer to peer lending sites. and I wil be investing in further deals with them along the way. Keep up the good work
I shall not be investing as I would not wish to risk £10,000 initially with an unknown organisation. I would have happily 'dripped' in small amounts each month, or possibly small lump sums. Both of these ways of investment are possible with other peer to peer lenders. I shall be looking at these in more detail
Great platform, pioneer in crowdfunding

I feel confident that Lendinvest is one of the safest of the p2p sites to invest and I like the short term loans. The things that I'm not so keen on are: - The length of time it takes to deposit funds so that money has to be sitting in your account if you want to invest quickly. - length of time it takes to correct website errors e.g. When I key in how much I want to invest, the amount is hidden by the invest label. This should be a minor thing to correct. - I really have no confidence in the IT and always check my investments are correct. It was bad that recently I was inadvertently sent the names of other investors and their email addresses, but not totally surprising. Also, interest rates have dropped a lot recently so I might be looking for more lucrative investments elsewhere.
Interest rates offered are lower than those available just a few months ago. Interest payments have been delayed on a couple of occasions which does not inspire confidence when dealing with a new company. Queries with Lendinvest has been handled well. I need to build more confidence before I make further investments.
I've tested this "product" with the minimum investment but so far so good! The information for each investment is good and the underwriting is thorough with quality valuers and lawyers used. The people behind the business have an excellent track record in the sector so defaults have been zero so far. I get monthly updates of the interest earned and you have the ability to withdraw the interest during the loan term into your nominated bank account. The return on investment at 7.5% per annum on £10k is by far greater than any bank product and in my eyes it's a caculated risk worth taking due to their experience and track record.
£10K minimum per loan so a significant decision - I would invest more if the limit was lower per loan as I like to spread the risk - rates are attractive but I do wonder sometimes about them being too high although asset backed security is comforting. I will invest more.
I read all the Lendinvest documentation thoroughly and made a couple of calls to them. The people I talked to were very polite and knew what they were talking about. Whilst it is possible to find higher interest rates within the peer to peer lending market-place I believe that my money is in safe hands with Lendinvest. I also very much like the variation in the length of loans they offer. Their systems are easy to use and the emailed feedback is good and not over the top in terms of frequency. I have only been an investor for around six weeks, but to date I am very happy with our relationship.
I am very interested in using Lend Invest, but the minimum investment amount of £10k per loan is too large for me as it does not allow proper diversification of my loan portfolio. I understand they may be wanting to attract larger investors, but a reduction in the minimum amount to, say, £2500 would allow more private investors to become involved.

Sep 08,2014We are so appalled at the low interest rates available to savers that my wife and I have not hesitated to invest with you given the charges on the properties and the fact of no defaults to date. My only complaint is in printing out the monthly interest statements this morning a whole load of blue ink was required - please make it just black and white without the second page of copy write blurb!
