He explained everything so thoroughly and I felt so relaxed and in good hands as he talked me through the consultation, the health of my eyes and the condition of them since the surgery and I couldn’t have asked for more. Apr 26,2023Just had my one year appt after my laser surgery. Overall this has been one of the most positive healthcare experiences I've ever had. From the welcoming and friendly staff at reception to the optometrists and nurses to Prof Reinstein, every step of the way, I received excellent care. The pre and post surgery appts and testing reassured me that nothing was overlooked and that my safety and well-being were the priority. If only the same standard of care could be repeated across the rest of my healthcare providers! I am very satisfied with the end result as well, as I no longer need contacts nor will I need reading glasses for the foreseeable future. Wholeheartedly recommend London Vision Clinic for others considering laser surgery.

Apr 24,2023My experience with LVC was great from first interaction. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, the process was smooth and well oiled, and everything went very well. You're made to feel comfortable and welcome from day one which really helps with the experience. My laser surgery was easy and I now have better than 20/20 vision with very minimal side effects! LVC came to me nice and early when my year check up was due which shows how on top of everything they are. I can't recommend LVC and laser eye surgery enough and whilst I hope I don't need to go back again, I wouldn't hesitate to use LVC again.

Apr 19,2023I underwent ReLEx SMILE surgery 11 months ago and have gone from a -6.00 prescription to better than 20/20 vision. I was high profile due to my prescription, astigmatism, pre-operative dry eyes and large pupils The appointments and surgery all went very well. I experienced the normal side effects (e.g. some blurry vision at night) but these went away as expected within a few weeks I'm so pleased with the outcome and glad I had the surgery. Thank you to Dr Glenn, Priya and Kate for an amazing experience and my wonderful new eyes!

Apr 16,2023It's been five months since my SMILE laser corrective surgery at the London Vision Clinic, with Glenn Carp, and it's difficult to articulate how happy I am with the decision I made. Many people reading reviews for LVC will already be committed to laser surgery, but for any that are still considering it - it’s worth confirming just how life-changing the surgery is for those with high myopia (my prescription was previously -7.5). You may think the novelty would wear off, but it doesn’t. I'm constantly surprised by what seems like new levels of vision and clarity - from sharp landscapes, to clearer written text, even colours that seem more vivid. I was perhaps one of the luckier patients, enjoying a step up in visual acuity which means that post-surgery my vision is far better than it had ever been when wearing newly prescribed glasses or contacts. My expectations were low - I’d often been told my prescription was too high and I would have been happy even with a partial correction. I hadn’t expected to jump from 20:20 corrected vision to 20:16 without glasses. Having worn glasses since I was a child, I have genuinely never seen as clearly in my life as I do now. The world is essentially leaping out to me as if upgraded from a 1990s CRT monitor to an 8k OLED screen. Total clarity of sight with better visual acuity has already been life-changing. Not to mention the world of practical benefits of not lugging solution, cases and glasses all around my life with me. The procedure itself is a breeze. It’s quite clear that the operating team has ample experience in creating a calm and stress-free setting. I barely knew what was happening during the few minutes of surgery, though I felt reassured throughout, and after the 7/8 minute procedure I sat up and could begin to see. Which takes me to London Vision Clinic more broadly - I could only describe it as exceptional. My sceening was with optometrist Brendan, who was patient, comprehensive and extremely clear in communicating the risks and trade offs in the treatment and directed me toward SMILE surgery. While LVC is at the upper end of the price range (my procedure cost £6900) it also isn’t hugely more expensive than the most affordable clinics when it comes to SMILE or LASIK procedures. The lengthy consultations, after-care, and general prestige, certainly cover the gap in cost to cheaper competitors. As other reviews suggest, Glenn sends out a personal message following the procedure. Months after my surgery, Glenn even happened to be on holiday in the same region at the same time as me, and took me on a fantastic bike ride. I called the surgery several times with minor concerns around dryness and minor initial pain, and on each occasion the surgery organised a call back from an ophthalmologist within an hour, who carefully consulted me on my concerns - leaving me feeling I was in very safe hands. Amongst my enthusiasm for the procedure it’s also worth flagging up that the recovery process can be lengthy in places. My eyes were initially very dry, and my vision was marginally affected by minor swelling for a few weeks (though it was still better than my previous contact lens-corrected vision within hours). LVC are very good at explaining that the treatment is a journey, and often it may take time to reach full potential, and obviously in some cases require further treatment. Generally that meant I entered the surgery with very realistic expectations. However, that said, it really seems like it couldn’t have gone better. As I’m sure all those considering surgery will have read elsewhere, the risks involved in SMILE are less than the risks of long-term contact lens use (especially the long hours and overuse that almost all lifetime contact lens wearers slip into). I haven’t looked back for a moment, and couldn’t have been happier to have gone through corrective surgery, and to have chosen to make that journey with London Vision Clinic.

Mar 22,2023I had Lasik surgery 12 months ago, and it's worth every penny. I had blended vision, one eye for long distance and the other for short. I only had minimal pain after the surgery, a little discomfort NOT half as bad as you think. It is like when you cut an onion and eyes lacrimate, which lasted only a few hours. I'm delighted! The staff were extremely friendly and made the experience just a breeze. I would 100% recommend the London Vision Clinic. The service at every level has been so professional. If you are thinking of having laser surgery, then visit them. They do not pressurise, and it is life-changing — a marvellous opp. I recommend this clinic to anybody. Thank you to the team that looked after me, especially Glenn, who performed the surgery and Priya, the optometrist.
