May 17,2022Professor Reinstein is a genuis ! Well, everyone at the clinic has been amazing. I had a very high prescription (-13 & -12.75) and had previously been dismissed by others. From the initial calls with Rhiannon, to the assessment by Brendan & then with Professor Reinstein himself - I was assured all the way and had plenty of time to ask questions. On the day of surgery - I was very nervous, but the team were great. I wasn't the best patient (I admit) but it was amazing to have very good quality of vision later that day. I am now 2 months post surgery and my only regret was not finding out about SMILE & Professor Reinstein before !

May 13,2022Amazing team and the best in class service! I felt I was in safe hands from start to finish. The procedure was quick and painless. The care have been excellent. I have just done my 12 months check up. My vision is better than 20/20 and my eyes are very healthy. I wish I had done this when I was younger! If you would like to have the laser eye laser surgery done, I highly recommend London Vision Clinic!

May 13,2022I had a brilliant experience with The London Vision Clinic. Meghan was my coordinator and she painstakingly arranged all my appointments for me. No stone is left unturned with all the various eye tests you are given. I was originally going to have laser surgery but iit was suggested cataract surgery was needed for my condition. Vimal the optometrist gave me more eye tests and went through all my options for cataract surgery. Vimal is a real professional and talked me through the various cataract surgery options. Mr Alistair Stewart operated on me and he was so caring and made me feel totally at ease during the procedure. Even though I was due to see him the day after surgery, he even contacted me the afternoon of my surgery to see how I was doing. I felt so cared for. The aftercare has also been exceptional with regular check ups during the first year after surgery. Definitely recommend this clinic.

May 12,2022The best decision I’ve ever made. After months of researching and weighing up the risks vs rewards, I finally booked in to have the SMILE procedure at LVC. The staff and surgeon, Dr Carp, are lovely, incredibly experienced and made me feel so at ease - I really did feel like I was in the safest hands. The surgery was quick and painless, and the aftercare was smooth sailing. No issues, except the occasional dry eye in the first few weeks - take the eye drops they give you, it helps. It’s changed my life; I’ve gone from very poor vision and wearing contact lenses daily to better than 20/20 vision… My only regret is that I didn’t have the procedure sooner!

Apr 29,2022Earlier today was my first morning following laser treatment at the London Vision Clinic. I picked-up my toothpaste and immediately knew I had made the right choice - I could read all the text on the tube. I headed to London on the High Speed train and absent mindedly picked up a newspaper. For the first time in over 25 years I could read small print without glasses! Opting for Lazer surgery (not lens surgery) was certainly the right step for me. My thanks to the entire team at London Vision Clinic for their professionalism and support and my sincere thanks to Professor Reinstein whose expert treatment has made me see the world in a different way (literally) - I feel rejuvenated! Apr 27,2022Professional clinic with fantastic care throughout the experience. Friendly and helpful administrative staff. The initial consultation is very informative and transparent in outlining the risks associated with the procedure. All staff are professional and are dedicated to the patient. There numerous are scans and tests prior and post surgery to ensure the very best results. Professor Dan made me feel at ease and assured prior and throughout the procedure. The aftercare is brilliant. My vision has only been getting better and better since the surgery in December 2019! Overall, the entire journey is been incredible and I would highly recommend for those suitable. With London Eye Clinic I felt I was in safe hands. After my experience, my brother has also had eye surgery and is also incredibly happy with the outcome and of course the care by London Eye Clinic. I have also recommended numerous friends who will be using London Eye Clinic. Strongly recommend and a huge thank you to all the staff at London Eye Clinic.

The Patient care is excellent, from Olivia organizing (and reorganizing at short notice) appointments to being greeted by the team. You feel like you are in safe hands throughout. Glen Carp takes the time to answer your questions so that you are making a fully informed decision. Elizabeth Rowe was Optometrists and she was outstanding ensuring that you fully understood the process. I would highly recommend the London Vision Clinic.

Apr 02,2022I had SMILE laser eye surgery with Professor Reinstein (Dan) at LVC about one year ago and I just completed the full post-op treatment cycle. Let's just say I must say that I haven't felt a strong emotional doctor-patient bond with Dan and probably he didn't either; but I wasn't there to find a new buddy, rather to fix my eyesight and he undoubtedly delivered on that. He has been extremely professional, and I have a tremendous amount of respect for how he runs his clinic. Every detail has been thought through, from the reception area to how the staff operate at every level. Detailed and relevant information is provided before, during and after the surgery. The level of preparedness of the nurses and all the medical staff is exceptional and must require continuous training to consistently remain at the level of service I experienced. In summary, every touch point with the clinic revealed a very well-oiled machine. It is evident that Dan strives for excellence both as a surgeon and as a businessman. A special note of thanks goes to the optometrist allocated to my case, Brendan Duane. An extremely knowledgeable professional who is thorough and ready to answer all possible questions with patience and professionalism. His approach made my visits with him effective and helpful as well as pleasant. Brandan played a big role in making my patient journey with LVC a world class experience.

Good after check care checks and free glasses to help with my driving at night (due to glare only). Have recommended this to all my friends who are now all contemplating the process. I can now see clearly for the first time in 32 years. Having one eye for long distance and one eye for short give me the best both worlds.

Mar 25,2022The entire journey with Prof. Dan Reinstein was among the best I’ve experienced. Dan is a surgeon who truly is in a league of his own and successfully treated me where many others had said they couldn't. He is forthcoming, extremely knowledgeable, honest, and pioneering with a clinic that runs like a Swiss watch. All the staff are very friendly, thorough, efficient, approachable, and knowledgeable. Can't praise the entire process enough. My story: LASIK done at the age of 29 with myopia of -3.5D in each eye. Vision remained perfect but I developed bothersome floaters several years later. 11 years post LASIK did a minimal vitrectomy to remove the floaters in the left eye. Floaters were gone but as expected, a cataract developed in that left eye over the ensuing year that caused blur. I still had perfect vision in the right eye at all distances. Five years later I began to lose accommodation in the right eye as is typical of the mid-40s. So I could still see perfect from far with the eye but it was no longer providing enough near vision. Without near vision in either eye, I began to use the dreaded reading glasses and contact lenses. What a reduction in quality of life in so many ways! So I decided it was time to fix the cataract in the left eye and in doing so, hopefully regain the near vision. I went to many surgeons. The multifocal IOL option was problematic because I was post LASIK and, in any case, too often has serious optical side effects. Then I saw a lecture Prof Reinstein gave about Laser Blended Vision vs multifocal IOLs. I reached out to him and he answered right away, strongly suggesting to go with a regular monofocal. Should the refraction be off target post-cataract surgery, a corneal enhancement could be performed and with the Laser Blended techniques he could even add depth of field if necessary. He convinced me the multifocal IOL option was clearly the wrong approach. I had to put in a monofocal aimed for near vision in that eye. Even so, I was told, the refractive target for post LASIK eyes would be difficult to achieve. The margin of error could easily be up to 1D even with the latest calculation techniques. Furthermore, virtually all surgeons said they would not aim for more than minus 1.5D since it would not be tolerated well. This would provide intermediate and some near but I would still need reading glasses for extended reading. I went for a monofocal Tecnis and the cataract surgeon aimed for minus 1. Surgery was perfect but I could only see clear at intermediate distances. Over the next six-nine months the refraction shifted by 1D from the target and stabilized on plano! So I was back to where I started. Perfect distance but no near or even intermediate vision in either eye. I needed either reading glasses or a plus 2.25 contact lens in the left eye ALL THE TIME!. All the laser surgeons I visited had said I was out of luck. A hyperopic enhancement in the left eye to mimic a +2.25D contact lens doesn’t work. Furthermore, because I had done Lasik in the past, epithelial ingrowth is too likely and in any case risky to manage. About a year after the catarct surgery I returned to Dan in London to see what could be done. He assured me that a hyperopic enhancement to move the focus of the left eye to -2.25 was safe and effective and he had performed it many times. Should any epithelial ingrowth occur, it is not a problem he explained if the surgeon has the knowledge to manage it. 4 months later Prof Reinstein performed the enhancement on my left eye. Dan nailed the -2.25 target! There is no comparison between the depth of field I have now post Laser Blended Surgery to what I had with the contact lens. I feel like I am seeing like I did in my 20s and 30s again. Perfect vision at all distances. No glasses or uncomfortable and annoying contacts! It’s a major quality of life difference! Prof Reinstein has discovered the Fountain of Youth..:) I can’t thank him enough.

Mar 11,2022Having undergone corrective eye surgery under the care of Mr Carp and his team, I can't recommend the London Vision Clinic highly enough (and would give more than 5 stars if I were able to!). Glenn and his ophthalmic team were very kind, caring and professional and I felt very reassured throughout the whole process from pre-op, to the surgery itself and then to the post-op follow-up. I underwent Laser Blended Vision and my vision is now perfect for both distance (better than 20/20!) and reading. It's amazing not to have to wear glasses any more - my only regret is not having visited the London Vision Clinic sooner! THANK YOU to Glenn and his team and I'd certainly recommend the London Vision Clinic to anyone.

Feb 28,2022London Vision Clinic have been amazing from the very first day I contacted them in 2020. I remember requesting a consultation around August 2020, I was invited along for an initial check up which took a couple of hours. From beginning to end, the staff were polite and helpful. I eventually had my procedure in October 2020, on the day of my procedure, staff were very welcoming and helped put my nerves at ease. Despite the covid restrictions, they understood that I would feel more comfortable with my mum at my appointment and they made this happen! My post operative appointments were fulfilled. I was constantly reassured of the support that was available to me 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. I am now just over a year post op, I have been discharged from the clinic. I have to say, I do not regret my decision to go with London Vision Clinic and I would not hesitate to go back to them again in the future if I needed further corrective surgery. Thank you Alastair for restoring my confidence by giving me perfect vision which has meant I don’t need glasses now. Thank you to Vimal for the ongoing check ups and support, you have made my visit to London Vision Clinic memorable. Finally, thank you to all the receptionists and patient care coordinators for always being so welcoming, accommodating and supportive.

May 19,2022I was really worried about getting my eyes lasered especially as it had a massive impact on my ability to work. The London vision team not only allayed my fears, they were professional every single step of the way- from the timely reminders and courteous treatment at front desk, through Sharon's knowledge, empathy and jokes; and to Alastair who was just the best surgeon I could have trusted my eyes with! Will definitely recommend the London Vision team.
