My experience with the LVC has been absolutely amazing. The care was top notice from the day I was contacted by the clinic until the checks ups after the procedure. The whole team was super helpful. The communication and coordination on on appointments was great and went fast. The optometrist (Brendan) explained everything very clearly before the surgery and provided me an opportunity to ask questions. The second appointment was with Dr Stuart and this was agaij an opportunity for me to ask questions. He addressed my questions and I felt comfortable with the procedure he selected for me. On the day of the surgery, the nurse took me through the aftercare procedure which I found helpful as there was a lot of information to remember. I was a bit nervous during the procedure and really appreciated Dr Stuart talking to me during the surgery and explaining what I was going to expect to feel. This made me feel relaxed. The aftercare was again great and Dr Stuart contacted me on the same day to check in. Thank you to everyone at the LVC! I am super grateful I was able to do this procedure at the best clinic. I 100% recommend the LVC to everyone who is looking into eye surgery.

AfterCare! This is why I chose LVC and they have done me proud. I have previously posted a review of LVC and was very happy with my results (better than 20/20) immediately after surgery, at 1 month and at 3 months. At 9 months my vision had slightly deteriorated after healing was complete and I still have a slight prescription. (to put it in context I had a very high hyperopia, and was a high profile patient from day 1) I still have better than 20/20 vision (20/16) and can read even the smallest line of text on the reading chart with no correction, but the team at LVC are committed to getting me to a 0 prescription. I have been back for 3 more assessments to ensure my vision is stable, and Brendan has been amazing. I am now booked in for an enhancement. So despite not being a perfect outcome they still deserve 5 Stars! The service is and continues to be amazing, all risks were and continue to be explained to me and my vision is proceeding as I would expect it to. I would much rather they under corrected and operated conservatively than overcorrected, after all the stroma doesn't re-grow. Looking forward to my enhancement.

I had laser eye surgery at the clinic 3 months ago. My experience has been very positive. Everything went well and the staff and the surgeon (Mr Carp) have been amazing throughout the whole process. The surgery itself is very straightforward, it takes just a few minutes and it's completely painless. My recovery has been very smooth and easy. I never had any pain or discomfort. Just a bit of eye dryness. Based on my experience I would definitely recommend this clinic and Mr Carp to anybody.

It’s been over a year since I’ve had my surgery and from calling to surgery to after care, it couldn't have been better. I’ve got some what of a compulsive personality and can be quite picky yet the service, the care, and information provided was all to the highest standard I can’t fault it. I am so glad I picked LVC and wouldn’t recommend going anywhere else other than the best especially when it comes to your eyes. A big thank you to my surgeon Dr Glenn Carp, who was very easy to talk to and always helpful whenever I had any questions. He made me feel at ease and comfortable with the procedure and the surgery was over so quick I didn’t even realise it. I had opted for the Smile procedure - I could see right after the surgery but it was quite hazy/misty. I think with different people it can take different times to recover but no doubt it will recover. As for my compulsive personality, it believed otherwise and was panicking but Dr Glenn assured me it will improve with time as it very well did. Most of the hazey/misty effect was gone after a week. For me it took around about 2 months for the haze/mist affect to completely disappear and it was back to normal, of course with added advantage of being able to see without contacts or glasses. Thank you to my optometrist Sharon Ritchie who carried out the pre and post examinations as well as my aftercare, again, very easy to talk to and answered all my questions. I wake up sometimes and I have to remind myself I’ve had laser surgery because I’ve forgotten what it felt like to not have 20/20 vision. One of the best decisions I made, but the added service and care from LVC made it all worth while. Thanks again to all the team at LVC.

I was hoping to get blended laser eye surgery, but unfortunately, it was determined that I would only be suitable for what is termed a mini-blend which is not as effective. That was all perfectly fine and it was agreed that the £500 deposit would be repaid because I decided I did not want to proceed on that basis. My issue is with the railroad approach of getting you through to surgery. After the first consultation, which involved wheeling a chair around a small room to multiple machines for various tests and then a consultation with an optometrist which felt more like an exercise in him attempting to cover all the legal points he needed to mention in the time allotted, you are given a large document to read and asked to sign every page in advance. Since the initial consultation had revealed I was not an optimum candidate for the treatment, I wanted further advice but did not want to commit in any way, so did not want to sign all those pages. That was something they rallied quite hard against which was surprising but eventually I was able to see the surgeon who essentially said they only offer laser surgery and not alternatives which I had since researched and which me better for me, though with a different risk profile. It was at this point I realized how competitive this market is, just walking to their offices you see many other eye clinics in the area and each appears to specialize in different treatments, so the first thing to consider, is if laser surgery is what you want, because once you have put your £500 down here that is all you are getting unless you have a medical reason why they can't (which I did). Other clinics I spoke to do not take such a large non-refundable deposit After the second meeting I email them to say I did not want to proceed with the mini-blend and as agreed via the consultation and subsequent email from them would like the £500 deposit returned. I was surprised to get a call the next day to say unfortunately the deposit was non-refundable, I argued my case, and the person said they would investigate and a few days later I received an email stating I would be refunded within 10 days. Strangely and really rather stupidly on their part if they ever want my business again, they also stated that any further deposit paid to them for any new procedure would not be refundable in any situation in the future. That left a sour taste in my mouth. So overall I am very disappointed that I was not eligible for the full blended treatment but also that The London Vision Clinic, which was very busy each time I went, did not offer the personal service I was expecting for the amount they charge, it very much felt like being rushed through in the most efficient way they can, and that they have fixed processes that are not very flexible unless you push back quite hard and even then they will push ahead regardless such as the call saying my deposit was non-refundable- I feel that call had been a routine one made many times before. I would strongly recommend anyone looking at this to do research on the various treatments available, there are plenty of other options such as Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) which may be a better fit and don't commit to a £500 deposit with the London Vision Clinic unless you are 100% sure. Personally I feel like I dodged a bullet here because I naively and excitedly chose them without much research expecting to have perfect vision in a few months which is just not the case.

It’s been nearly 2 months since my SMILE procedure and it’s been fantastic. I was a -5 both eyes and the treatment has been life changing as I was very dependent on my glasses. I’ve had no dry eyes post - op and the whole process was so smooth and easy. Mr Carp was amazing and all the staff have been so reassuring and kind. Highly recommend LVC… I’m so happy I went through with it as I was a very nervous patient..!

Outstanding patient care from admin staff, Amir and Prof Reinstein. Experienced a smooth surgery and was constantly reassured at each stage of the procedure. 6 weeks since my SMILE procedure and really pleased with the results. Highly recommend!!

I obviously done some homework and talked to people prior to committing to the consultation. Having had the consultation which was quite thorough and explanatory I was told I was eligible to have the eye laser and I made up my mind to continue with the treatment. From day one the team were very comforting and encouraging. I’m sure they’ve met a lot of apprehensive people but they are second to none in making you feel at ease. Long and short of my experience with London Vision Clinic is brilliant. Yes it’s expensive but you get what you pay for and the aftercare speaks volumes. I’m happy to talk to anyone who’s thinking of getting it done!!!!

My overall experience of London Vision Clinic was very good. The most important question of all is whether they will correct your sight in a safe, hygienic and professional manner? The answer to this is yes. My advice, having gone through the 'smile' procedure, would be to ask detailed questions about recovery times, as mine took over a year before I would say I felt that I was in good place. For this reason, it would be worth discussing with the surgeon if an alternative procedure would be more suitable, for example, Lasik. The support staff and aftercare is excellent. Always welcome you with a smile and give you whatever support you need. The aftercare optometrist, Sharon, is a wonderful professional, who takes utmost care in examining and monitoring your eyes post op and always addresses your concerns with warmth and sincerity. Professor Reinstein is a very thorough and diligent surgeon and you will be in good, safe hands under his surgical care. Post-op, you will be able to address him directly via call or text if you have any issues or concerns. My only gripe in this area is that Professor Reinstein can be a little abrupt in his response at times, when you address your concerns to him. However, this does not detract from his competency as a surgeon, nor the efficacy of the procedure. The long and short of it......the Clinic is a sound, safe, welcoming environment for you to have your surgery done and I would recommend this place.

Just had my 1-year check and am better than 20/20 vision! LVC gave amazing care throughout, from information, to prep, to surgery and recovery, and periodic follow-up checks. I am very happy to have chosen them for my surgery and highly recommend.

One month out, better than 20:20 vision with a long sighted prescription & a fairly complex procedure. A lot better than I could have hoped for. In regard to the care and process in place at LVC, I truly can’t fault it. Best decision ever!

The best place in London and the UK for Laser Eye Surgery. Having been to other clinics to see if I’m a suitable candidate, I cannot recommend this place enough. Everything from my first conversation with Patient Care Co-Ordinator, Kate to my eye examination with Optometrist Emma and my surgery, carried out by Professor Reinstein. 1 month and 3 month post surgery appointments have been great. Lovely receptionists too. Everyone is really nice and welcoming. Very knowledgeable too. Almost 4 months in and I can certainly say it’s the best investment and decision I made in my life.
