From day one, all the staff have been professional and supportive, ensuring that I had enough information and the confidence to make the right decisions regarding my treatment. My surgery took place on the 27th June, and one month later my vision is superb. The after-care has also been excellent. Going to the London Vision has been one of the best decisions I've made.

Jul 19,2024After being told that my 47 year old eyes would need to have mono-vision correction if I wanted to lose my glasses, I am so glad I did a little bit of research and found the London Vision Clinic. Yes, it cost a fair bit more than some other clinics, but I made the decision that I didn’t want to make a mistake with my eyes - especially as my procedure would not be straight forward, given the fact I had to get my eyes corrected as one for long and one for short distance. I had the Presbeyond, blended vision procedure, as it is a bit easier for the brain to come to terms with than the more simplistic mono-vision procedure offered elsewhere. The surgery itself was just amazing. No pain at all. Everyone at LoVC was so kind, attentive and supportive from start to finish and they continue to be so. The vision I now have, as expected, is strange at times. There is an awareness of the imbalance between what each eye is able to see. But most of the time I’m not really aware or thinking about it at all. The crux is that I have not needed to wear my glasses at all since the surgery. I can see most things perfectly well - computer work, night driving, e reading signs. After three months, my brain has still not fully worked out how and when to switch fully to the relevant eye in order to see long distance at the optimum level, but I have enough times where I can see these things perfectly that I know the vision is there - it is just practice for my brain as it learns the new territory it has to work with! For example, I struggle a bit with reading the film options on streaming platforms on tv - though we do have a relatively small tv. I had my three month check up and am going to get some glasses which are the optimum of the prescription my eyes have been adjusted to. They are to wear every now and then at times like choosing tv programs, to help me whilst my eyes/brain works out how to work together and get my vision closer to what I see through the glasses. Apparently the process of adjusting to Presbeyond can take up to a year, so I’m not concerned. But just to be clear, I had dumped my glasses and was able to drive absolutely fine from the day after surgery. I can already “see” the fine tuning improvements in my vision over the past three months. However, it is good to know that, if it doesn’t improve to the optimum level intended within the timeframe, then I am able to have an enhancement procedure, should I feel it worth doing. If you are thinking about having vision correction, I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. I have felt completely held throughout my process, by regular and friendly, in-depth checkups and high attention to detail, addressing any concerns I may have. I’m sure it happens, but I cannot imagine getting a better service elsewhere! Wishing you the best of luck and care on your vision quest!

From the very outset you are provided with information, guidance and care. Time is spend to ensure you have all information and the patient care through the pre op to op to post op is 100% patient centric. The care and support through all stages is phenomenal. They said in the consultations most people say they can’t believe they didn’t have it done sooner, and I think I fall into that category. A huge thanks to Dr Dan and the whole team for an amazing experience and care.

The staff were friendly and professional, Glenn was so calming and knowledgeable. He really added the personal touch, checking up after the surgery and keeping in contact throughout the process. I felt I mattered all the time. Then there was the expertise. I knew I was being tested and advised and treated by the latest research and techniques. Also I appreciated the follow up through the year as a matter of course rather than just a treatment or consultation. Finally the results are more than I hoped for. I now have eyes that can see as I did in my 20's

Jun 25,2024After needing glasses for the last 20 years yesterday I had lasik eye surgery for blended vision. Today I went back to have a post op check up I would never ever imagine I would not need glasses to read and see distance and now I don’t need glasses 🥳 He was Recommended to me by a friend who’s had it done as well Basically, honing and tuning my close and distance vision, meaning I should be able to see near and far while on my bike (or doing any activity) without the need for prescription glasses of any kind. Professor Dan Reinstein with his wealth of knowledge, experience and his calm and gentle reassurance during the surgery, is the best there is. I have never like anything near or touching my eyes there is no invasive procedure all done by lasers If you’re ever considering ditching your glasses or lenses or think your vision could be tuned up, I recommend Dan and his Practice, The London VIsion Clinic at 138 Harley Street London.

Aug 02,2024I’ve written very few reviews but wanted to share the positive experience I had at the LVC. I was wearing glasses and contacts from the age of 10 or 11 and had a high prescription of -8.5 in both eyes. For around 40 years I worked around a total reliance on lenses for cycling, swimming, diving and windsurfing as it wasn’t practical to get good sports glasses given my prescription. I would look into eye surgery frequently, get excited and then find myself reading through negative experiences on the internet and put it off. It wasn’t until my close up vision started to go that the constant switching between different glasses on top of lenses became such a hassle that I decided to go for it. After a ton of research and some personal recommendations I went for a consultation at the LvC and was recommended blending the vision in my eyes to cover both near and far distances. Honestly, the experience couldn’t have been better. Glenn Carp carried out the surgery and he and the team instilled confidence and calm from the outset. After the anxious weeks before the surgery it was a non event and over in a matter of minutes. I’ve just completed my one-year check up and couldn’t be happier with the results. I have better than 20/20 vision for distance and can read small print clearly without any correction. A year in I still wake up in the morning amazed I can see so well - the whole experience and results were exceptional and I can’t thank Glenn and the team enough.
