Visited the Bagshot branch for new tyres, they were very friendly and knowledgeable. When I called they booked me a time and so when I arrived tyres were done straight away which was brilliant as where I normally go I could be sat waiting for an hour before they even started on my car. Appointment booking is great! Very reasonably priced as well. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for new tyres in the area.
I have to say I'm appalled at the service I received today. My fitting slot was at 8:30. After I attempted to drop the car off at 8:20 I was asked to take the car back home and call in an hour to see if they had space to fit me in. I called back 2 hours later and was told to wait another hour before bringing the car in. 1 hour later I brought the car in, and I asked what time they thought the car would be ready by. Considering they told me a tyre change takes up to 45 minutes. They told me to call back in an hour and they let me know. So at 3 pm (5 hours later than I thought), I travelled back on site to pick up the car. They then told me that they hadn't started on the car yet but it would be done in 20 minutes. 15 minutes later, the gentleman comes in and tells me that the locking wheel nut looks a little old. So from 8:30 to now 3:30, this is the first time he's had a look at the nuts on the wheel. He then managed to get the wheels off with no problems. All while this was happening, I was sitting in the reception area, there were multiple members of staff chatting behind the desk and vaping inside in front of me which I found ridiculous. No one seemed to care about the service I was receiving. 45 minutes later he then told me that the car was ready. He then charged me full price for the service and didn't even suggest that anything was wrong or that they took a while. So after dropping the car off twice, 3 visits and an hour sat in reception, I've walked away with a car that was 7 hours late, which has ruined my plans of travelling this weekend, a very large hole in my wallet and no whisper of any apology. I just can't believe the service from the team and I will be sure never to recommend Merityre again. Before leaving an awful review on this matter I'd like to at least hear someone's opinion from Merityres before doing so. I also sent this in an email over 12 days ago to their customer service team but have had zero response from them. Customer service is non-existent
This review is for Merityre Farhnam. I cannot understand where these other good reviews come from for this company, citing great customer service and a really good overall service. Read below for a possibly more truthful account… On the Thursday I ordered 3 tyres through Blackcircles.com. Initially, Merityre Farnham had listed on the Blackcircles website that they had fitting availability for Saturday (AM and PM), so I booked it as this was the first available option. The following day I received an email saying the garage weren’t able to do the fitting and proposed alternative dates nearly 2 WEEKS later. After calling them direct, I arranged for the work to be done on the Tuesday morning and rescheduled through Blackcircles website. While I was on the phone to Merityre I was advised that I should arrive early as the waiting time could sometimes be up to 3 HOURS! I arrived at 7:40AM – 20 minutes before opening time. I watched each of the staff arrive, none of them would even look me in the eye. At 8AM, they opened reception, I went in confirmed the booking and advised the keys were in the car. Brilliant. I thought I’d get it done in no time. 40 minutes later I wander out into the car park and my car isn’t there, so I presume they’re working on it and it won’t be much longer. At nearly 1 hours and 15 minutes I finally go into their reception area to ask how much longer I can expect to be waiting, only to be told that it’ll be another 15 minutes. I ask if it usually takes this long, and mention that I made sure to arrive early to ensure it would get worked on at the front of the queue. The explanation I was given was that there had been 2 jobs since the previous day, already waiting and that they couldn’t take all 3 wheels off my car at the same time to replace the tyres – well thank you SO MUCH for mansplaining that for me. Jesus wept. So they have multiple employees working out the back, there were only 2 other cars pending tyre fittings in front of mine.. and it still took them 1.5 HOURS to fit 3 tyres. And all with the most god-awful miserable faces on them, apart from the young lad who brought the car round and actually seemed reasonably friendly – I can only imagine that he hasn’t worked there long enough to have been ground down sufficiently to meet the standards of the other employees yet. Give it time… Every other customer who came in had the same story – hugely annoyed with the insane waiting times and all of them stating they would never use this service again. I certainly won’t be. So, you can believe the other reviewers giving this company simply lovely ratings for their service, or the above account; including the other people who have started posting about the crazy long waiting time on Google reviews. If you choose to use them, good luck. Take coffee and a book. The response from Merityre validates the above while giving absolutely no insight into why it took multiple members of staff 1.5 hours to fit tyres on 3 cars, nor any apology as to their poor customer service, nor any likelihood of remedying the situation. Another reason, if any was needed, not to go back.
Purley Branch I took my transit van in for wheel tracking done ' on a Friday and this was done fairly promptly ;The issues arose on my driving home the steering wheel was very out of alignment so I called the centre and explained the issue and was told to bring the vehicle back in Sat for it to be remedied -So far so good I duly did this at 245 PM and upon arrival i thought great ,there were no vehicles waiting and only 1 on a ramp , I went into reception to find 2 guys leaning on the counter chatting , I explained the issue and was told Sorry we can't do anything today as the vehicle on the ramp had no starter motor ;I pointed out that there was a space next to the ramp that the vehicle could be put there and was abruptly told that they could'nt do anything and that i should come back the following week Apart from travelling some 23 miles to get there and with the customer service severely lacking I pointed out that I needed the vehicle for my work and being self employed wasn't able just to return at a moments notice and was told Sorry mate we can't do anything come back next week " Amazingly I took the vehicle to my local Kwik fit the following day and they realigned the tracking accurately and promptly with excellent customer service and even topped up my washer fluid free of charge I had used the Merityre centre in Hook previously and had always had great service from them Think the Purley depot should take lessons from their Hook depot or Kwik fit
My Girlfriend used the Basingstoke branch and they were great Phil the Branch Manager was excellent, quick, efficient, and good price. She was very happy that they could help her out. Thanks guys
Monte and the team have always managed to fit me in. They have given me help and not charged me. I have a trailer which they had a look at brilliantly as well as realigning my car tyres. Excellent professional people who are friendly and polite.
Andover Merityre, frustrating and disappointing service. I asked reception if they could price up some work and send it in a formal email. They didn’t do it. Therefore, I phoned and asked again, they didn’t do it. I went into the garage and asked for the third time. They didn’t do it. One star.
Merityre Specialists Wantage Has got to be one of the best places to go. Brilliant service and they even did two elderly people's tyre pressures and reset the dash, Awesome 👍👍
I don't, unprompted, write company reviews but I thought I would about the (young) service manager at the Abingdon branch. Very polite, easy going and very helpful and informative. Rang (twice) when he said he would to keep me informed on job progress and a quick job. Very impressed.
Had to get two new tyres, so went to the Sunbury branch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Was in and out in 40 minutes. First class.
I took my car here thinking I needed new brakes and cylinders on the back of my car , left it with them and then they phoned me to say all was ok did not need doing! Very honest of them and friendly staff definitely would go back.
Ordered four new tyres from blackcircles to be fitted at the Farnham branch am, dropped the car off at 9am arrived back at 1230 and the car hadn’t even been looked at. Had to wait another hour until it was ready.
Dropped of wheels and tyres on Tuesday, i advised there was no rush to replace tyres. I called on Thursday and was told they were ready (Merityre didnt call me) and was advised pop in Friday at 8am and they will swap wheels over. Arrived at 8am to be told it would be a 45 minute wait as they had other tyres to change, no use to me as I needed to leave by 8.30. The chap who dropped his car in before me said he would collect about 4pm! That was frustrating, however tto make it worse there there were 3 guys stood around in the garage drinking energy drinks! Now I have 4 wheels in the boot to swap myself... I wont be going back, and would recommend that anybody looking for 'service' goes elsewhere.
Rude unhelpful, lack of communication. inefficient. Customer service was next to nil. Didn't explain what they done with my car just handed it back. I may be a female but I'm not thick I would like to no what was the issues that needed sorting. One minute tell me my car is done on the phone, for me to turn up and tell me they broke a part so the car is not road worthy so won't be fixed till following day. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to the Woking branch.
Been using Merityre for years. Never had any trouble with them in all that time. Staff are very friendly and helpful and go the extra mile to get things done when needed. Special call out to the Basingstoke and Andover branches who have looked after me and my family for many years. I always send people to Merityre when they are looking for any services that they offer. They too are not disappointed.
PURLEY BRANCH The guys here always go the extra mile and my family have been using them for years and years. They are always so happy and put in a 100% into what they do. I came in with the Blue BMW to have air put in and I was amazed the welcome mat and coffee machine were not there. The welcome Mat is a health & safety issue as in the winter 6 customers with wet feet could cause an accident and not to be able to have a drink when there are several customers in front of you is bad customer service. STOP BEING MEAN MERITYRE AND THINK OF YOUR CUSTOMERS safety and coffee machine as it is the small touches that bring customers back. I could go to BMW and get unlimited coffee and not slip on the floor. Think before you make cutbacks. These guys that work for you are treasures!! A Regular Penny - BMW Convertible Blue
I had an awful experience with Merityre in Thame earlier this week. They were due to replace my two front tyres however I got a call from the mechanic (Avas)saying they couldn't find the locking wheel nut, so I explained to him where it is located within a certain compartment but he was adamant it wasn't there. I then spoke to another mechanic who also said there was no false floor in the compartment. Their solution for the problem was to charge me £100 to cut off the locking wheel nuts - it felt more like a scam and them trying to get more money from me. In the end I had to go back down to the garage, and surprise surprise, the locking wheel nut was in the exact place I was explaining. With me being on the phone to them multiple times, having to go down and show them where the wheel nut was, then having to get a lift down when the tyres were finally repaired, I missed an entire afternoon of work. I am still in disbelief that two 'trained' mechanics could be so incompetent that they could not find a locking wheel nut which was in the correct location as per the manual.
I have just got back from Merityre St Johns (Woking). My cars tyre pressure warning light was on and didn't go even after topping up the air yesterday and driving a bit. I was dreading it as a woman on my own, who clearly doesn't know about cars. I assumed I'd be ripped off. They were great. I was there for an hour. They fixed the slow puncture and didn't try and charge me for stuff I didn't need. It only came to £24. The main fella was kind and even helped me park. I went and had a cup of coffee and a tea cake at the local cafe while I waited and pottered in two little ducks gift shop. It was actually a great morning. I am 100% going back for my service and MOT!!! It's great to have a safe space as a woman. Add them to your keep list. ❤️
We were miles away from home and hearing a rumbling noise limped off of the M4 and thankfully into a nearby lay-by to discover a flat tyre. While I fiddled around with the tyre repair kit thing (no spare) my wife looked into finding the nearest tyre centre. We were very pleased to find Merityre at Wantage which was a few miles up the road and Sam there was very helpful in confirming that had a new tyre in stock. We limped (again) into Wantage. A cheerful Sam met us on arrival and got everything sorted for us. A new tyre was fitted in about a half hour. The whole set up there was very friendly and very professional. Merityre at Wantage made a very stressful situation for us much more manageable. Thanks to Sam and his team for getting us out of a muddle and on our way quickly.

Oct 10,2023i booked my car A.M slot in for 2 front tyres via Black Circle Tyres. I arrived just before 8am to be told because i used Black Circle Tyres i would have to wait until around 11.30. I am a pensioner with one car and i live rurally so could not get back home so I walked into the the town and returned at approx 10.30 am. I then spent the next hour and forty minutes watching the staff be rude to customers and completely ignoring customers at the desk, whilst coming in to use the Computer at the main desk and often coming in to answer the phone. My car was finally ready at 11.37 am
