Edit 26.7.2023 - As per the review I have left, I have already contacted MetroRod several times and they do not reply. Therefore, they have had emails already to rectify this matter and have failed to. I stand by the review. --------------------------------------- Since April 2023, I have reached out to MetroRod due to their failure to attend emergency calls. On 5 occasions people their employees have failed to show up at agreed times. 1 time in particular was a very urgent call and I was told an employee would be at my house at 1am in the morning. He failed to show and failed to inform the emergency line of the builder I informed. The employee in question showed up at my house at 18:00 expecting to be let in and expecting me to be at the house. I was at work miles away. The employee was caught on CCTV camera telling me he had to go elsewhere. I have emailed the manager Kevin Gossage at MetroRod several times and called the main office. Kevin has has failed to call me, return several calls and failed to respond to emails. Their employee was rude, and appeared surprised when I was not at the house. He was asked where was he at 1am that morning and he ignored the question.
Dangerous van driver. Stokesley road, yorkshire. 10.30 am 11th July. Driving off the rear wheel of my motorcycle to try and get me to break the speed limit is dangerous and shows what a moron this driver is. Suggest you check his tracker and have a word before he kills someone or writes your van off. Idiot.

Contacted them at 7 am on sat 13/05/2023 was given price and told someone would be with me that day. Waited till 3pm and called back to be told wouldn't be that day as they were dealing with an issue at hospital could the move it to the Sunday, asked if they would definitely attend they yes someone will be there between 8am and 12pm. Sunday 14th 10.30am nothing phoned again to be told engineer hadn't put it on device for today. Told someone would be with me but not before 12pm. 1pm Metro rod called to say won't be today can it be moved to Monday whilst all the messing around toilet is spilling water onto floor. Will stick to dyna rod in future as at least they turn up.
Extremely rude and lacking basic customer service. Would not recommend
All I can say is thank goodness I followed my instincts and went with a second opinion. 4 days of no toilet and shower facilities, cancelling all my coronation family plans and living on the edge of my nerves believing my house had to be dug up just to be told today "they checked the wrong pipe" after I questioned the guy 3 times over to be met with a lack of compassion and "I've done this for 30 years" clearly its time to retire or get some customer service training. Shame 0 isnt an option!!!
Really great service from Metro Rod (London South East). Were sent by my home emergency cover to deal with what we thought was one blockage. Turned out to be two, and Sami did a great job diagnosing and dealing with them both - everything draining smoothly now. Lovely friendly service. Thanks!
Useless. Got a price and an email quote on 11 April and by 26 April no-one had been in touch and no-one had turned up.
Misdiagnosed the location of my blocked drain and the reason for blockage causing an approximate 6 week delay in my drains being unblocked. Came out to my property twice & were lazy in their attempts to resolve my issue. Never using again.

Got my refund a couple of days ago. £120 out of payment of £348!!!!

We are very happy with the work that has been done at our property after a blockage in the downpipe, the engineer Jordan, could not have done more to help us.
Excellent service and really helpful staff. I had Terry and Dean come out to do a drain inspection, they turned up on time and left the property as they found it. The office staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, easy to talk to. I've had a far better experience with Metro Rod than I have with Anglian Water in the passed. No messing around with Metro Rod, they will sort the problem out.
This company’s fee was outrageous given that two engineers were on my property for only one hour but charged me for the 10mins when they first parked up and sat in their vans and then a further 30mins sitting in separate vans with one engineer making up my bill. As it was an hourly charge for two engineers this took me into subsequent hours of charge so my bill was utterly shocking.. I complained about this to main office but was told that this was clear in the quote given to me: of course it was not. Ironically they advertise as cost effective. I would never ever recommend this company and would strongly avoid.
Emergency repair for blocked bath after numerous different plumbers attending and unable to unblock Ash from metrorod came out as a emergency 24 hour call. He was here less than 10 minutes and unblocked the problem. Highly recommend
Had an emergency repair and my insurance company unfortunately chose Metrorod and since then we are suffering. After numerous calls to them personally and through insurance, they turned up after 3 days to take photos at 6pm for an emergency job and then disappeared for another 3 days. Today is the 4th day and they still couldn’t get the quote ready for the job and we are stuck with them. Absolutely useless service and the staff was so unprofessional, smoked for 3 minutes outside the door and came in without even asking further information, took photos of the leak and left.

Total waste of time. One engineer on call for the whole of the UK. Just keep fobbing you off. AVOID!

Jul 31,2023Absolutely five stars. Dogged, determined and absolutely spot on. The young man was definitely a jewel in Metro Rods crown. The next time it blocks up, which it will, it will be MetroRod I call and the request will be for this young man. Super impressed with him.
