Excellent service from Sam. Was thinking he wasn’t going to complete the job as it was 5.50 on a Friday but he was here over an hour. The blockage seemed to have him baffled but he persisted and eventually cleared it - jetting all the pipes etc . He was very concise and professional. Lovely young man, worked really hard and can’t thank him enough - had a blocked toilet which had affected the upstairs shower and it flooded the downstairs toilet floor. Absolute nightmare - thank you Sam you’re worth your weight in gold - would highly recommend. Would happily use again - just hope I don’t have to - not yet anyway 🙏

I can't fault the service we received last Saturday afternoon. Having realised we had a blocked drain in the middle of our driveway we rang Metro-rod,spoke to a very polite lady(in Macclesfield I think),agreed a time-slot for the job to be done(in the next couple of hours),price was clearly stated and we were agreeable to that. Terry,the Engineer turned up early,which was great news and he did the job to an excellent standard. I/we would recommend this company thoroughly to anyone. Thanks again Terry.
Really good outfit. Reported blocked drains through Home Tree insurance. Got an SMS from MetroRod Nottingham. Kept upto date on arrival. Couple of friendly guys and inside and hour the bathroom was no longer backing up with water. Cheers.
They sent a guy out to look at the drains. He turns up, took pictures of the downpipes which was £140 and then said he didn’t have the right camera so we turned up took three pictures and left now they’re asking for more money for him to come back and do the job so it’s cost me £140 for three pictures. Sounds like a scam to me who turns up at a job with Not no equipment and then the builder gets a phone call from the company with a bit of an attitude. It sounds like he’s trying to intimidate him. I overheard it I am not impressed and never recommend them.
Chris from Metro Rod has really saved the day. No toilet for 4 nights and Chris rescued me by persisting in his investigating the cause. Others had given up and blamed other things.
Just had Graham Griffiths from MetroRod and what a total professional. Was calming throughout his late emergency visit and nothing was too much trouble as he just wanted to get the problem fully resolved and leave his customer happy - which we are extremely happy as we had been previously quoted an extortionate amount for what seemed a relatively simple job in the end. Just needed the professional touch that Graham brought.

Liverpool branch sent out an inexperienced guy who couldn't do a simple unblocking that another company did right away. When I wrote them, they were rude and didn't accept any feedback on it (I wasn't even asking for anything in compensation.) Then, when I wrote a review here, got a canned reply from the corporate team saying to contact them (as with all the reviews – as they'll probably do with this one too!) – when I did that several times, they just didn't reply. It's just for show. Terrible company and service.
I’m giving 2 stars but really for the two gutter clearing guys should be 5 The 2 are for the very poor performance by the office staff whose excuses were contradictory and kept coming ie our employee who has the equipment is off sick (this at 3.12pm when at earlier I was told he would be attending but they already knew he hadn’t turned up for work) Why has Metrorod only got one gutter cleaning equipment anyway Twice I was left chasing them late afternoon after purposely staying in which was an inconvenience when I didn’t need to stay in Then on a Friday again let down with no text or call they would be coming on the Monday Silly me for thinking that would be two days away on the Monday They didn’t come I rang Excuse apparently I got it wrong they meant the following week and she blamed me One girl just threw an excuse at everything I said and contradicted herself In the end I contacted my housing association who had granted Metrorod the contract probably the lowest quote to inform them of this dreadful service Hats off to the guys that did attend very courteous and did the job efficiently quickly and did no damage or left no gutter debris as had happened in the past (not by Metrorod that time) The management need a lesson on how to hide excuses satisfactorily not dig themselves in deeper One excuse when the man was off sick according to him he hadn’t been ill at all but one truth he is the only one with relevant equipment I can’t fault these two who attended 5 stars to them
Terrible company. Engineers would give an idea of price and then the quote would be hundreds of pounds more. Several times the work was booked in and they would not arrive , or would not have the correct part. I had to chase for an appointment several times. Clearly didn’t have a clue what they were doing in relation the sewage pump system at my house. DO NOT USE THEM!
Bodged job on a blocked toilet. Badly reinstalled toilet so a smell of sewage can be smelt. Made a real mess too. Avoid at all costs
Terrible uncaring company. Terrible job done at an exorbitant price. Bust water supply pipe, the repair of which only lasted 10 months and they refused to help in any way. I got a decent company to do a proper repair.
Had problems with a blocked drain, Paul called from Mansfield same day evening Saturday. Service was first class, very helpful, cleared up problem in good time and nothing too much trouble. Would certainly use them again. Cost as quoted which to be honest I thought was cheap.
Used to work here they tell their engineers to sit for hours.to gain more labour charges those.company.is.run.on quotes hourly so if they quote 3days it's a 3hour job and engineers are told to not move and told.to look busy this is metro North site
We had an excellent experience with Metro Rod. Super helpful and friendly engineer who arrived on time and cleared our blockage by jetting in less than an hour. We paid £126 including VAT, which was cheaper than elsewhere. Customer Services were also very helpful and transparent with costs on initial phone call, so no hidden costs. Having accidentally called out a cowboy company who tried to charge us 8 times the price and use intimidation tactics, I will only ever now use the big company names for drains (Metro Rod, Dyno Rod etc) as they are transparent with costs and guarantee works.

Cannot recommend Metro Rod's services enough! After not being successful with finding anybody to come and help me with a badly blocked drain, I called Metro Rod and they where so polite on the phone and got somebody out to me within the hour. I had the amazing Tom come out. He got to work straight away, got the blockage cleared efficiently and then used his camera to identify the issue, which I could then provide my landlord with, who is now going to be able to stop the issue happening again. He was so friendly and professional, I would recommend Tom and Metro Rod to anyone who is having the same issues.
