Brilliant! Wayne in Exeter came within 1 hour and sorted the problem out very quickly. Excellent service. Very pleased and would use again.
We had a blocked downstairs lavatory which wouldn't clear. The Metro Rod team member arrived on time and, using modern equipment, cleared the blockage and surveyed the drain in a very short time. I was especially impressed with the care that was taken to protect our floors from damage from the wheeled equipment and the thorough cleaning up which was undertaken at the end of the job. Thank you Metro Rod !
Despite my Wife being told that ths Monday (7th Dec) that the engineers and Asbestos Removal team were coming to finish the removal and repair of broken sewer pipe (asbestos sleeved) beneath a path at 8am ,they now tell us that have to have it surveyed , utter tosh, they have known it was asbestos from the start, its seems being tenants for Optivo qualifies us to be misled and fobbed off.
My disabled mother had a blocked toilet and so I called Metro Rod. The engineer called me 2 hours later when they were en route to give me time so I could be at my mums house for them arriving. Lovely guys, very quick, friendly and efficient. Excellent service from start to finish. Recommended!
MINUS 5 STARS. ABSOLUTLY APPALLING SERVICE. Cutting long story short been waiting since Friday 26th for pipes under sink to be replace apparently due to waiting on a quote then waiting for this quote to be accepted,I have now been without any water .despite being told my 74 year old husband is vulnerable. Working in a Covid ward I do nights have had to take 2 nights off and now have had to return due to short staff. Wish I could tell my vulnerable patients they need to wait 7 days for treatment/ never experienced anything like it .
Called out to empty a Klargester septic tank. Main office passed no info on to the engineer so he arrived with too short a hose, also knew nothing about Klargester tanks so I had to phone them myself to check how to empty it! Charged more than three times any previous cost. Office staff obviously knew nothing about Klargesters or tanks in general. They also charged us VAT, which is NOT chargeable on domestic tanks.Engineer, however, cheerful, friendly and efficient once we'd worked out what to do. None of this his fault.
Metro Rod were called by our social housing group, after they were unable to unblock our toilet. Matty came round and sorted out the blockage in the drain. Very friendly and efficient! Many thanks!
Lovely engineer but not so lovely price! Don’t use metro rod if you’re expecting a fairly priced call-out.
Just been visited by very nice lad called Shaun to clear our drain and main drain. Can't praise him enough. Friendly, methodical and thorough. Job done in very little time. Spent more time cleaning up and disinfecting for us. Thoroughly recommend this company.
John Butler did an excellent job. Came to my housing rescue under 2 hours. The best
Toilets blocked, opened sewage cover to find full blockage, plumber called but unable to sort it. Phoned welsh water who passed job to metro rod, arrived within the hour and had cleared the drain even before I had made him a cup of tea. Marvellous
Micky came out to CV35 - rural location. Exceptionally prompt response from an insurance claim via Direct Line. Assessed the (blocked drain) issue, diagnosed problem, solved it, all with excellent professional communication. A complete star. Very helpful company with good manner / attitude from the office colleague too.
Metro Rod have provided great service and a very useful cctv report.Staff are very friendly and professional.
My home insurer assigned emergency repair of a leaking supply pipe to metro rod. Unfortunately insurance didn't cover digging the hole. They charged my £400 for a small hole I could have dug myself in about half an hour. When I emailed after to discuss this they ignored my message.
Barry (SouthWest) was prompt, helpful and reassuring. Would recommend!
This is the third time I have used Metro Rod North Wales. I rang on Wednesday, Tom Emberley was here at 8.30 today (Friday) and the whole thing was done and dusted before 10.00. And what's more, Tom cleaned up after himself. A great job, well done.
as previous customer I have had 4 visits from metro rod via my home emergency cover exactly the same problem and bodged up repairs. after the first call my son had to go running down the drive to stop the engineer as he had used the toilet after the man had left and water poured out onto the floor he said he would return with new part came { leaving us to flush toilet using buckets} he came back 2 days later and fixed part. next day still leaking. next day another engineer came said 1st one had used wrong tape repaired and left. 2 days later leaking again 3rd man came said it needed new cone would leave a note on the system. we were phoned next day by home emergency assist who said the engineer reported that the toilet had been badly installed and we were not covered for any more work. we could pay for a second opinion if we were unhappy with their decision between £60 and £160 very unhappy
Used this company for Insurance Home Emergency call out for a leaking toilet. After 5 visits the toilet is still leaking. I've done some research on line and it appears a leaking cone is classed as a nightmare by plumbers but I would expect trained and qualified people to be able to overcome this problem. The first cone was replaced, toilet not flushing properly, so another visit, Part of the flushing mechanism replaced and 2nd cone replaced. Further leak, further visit. Not the cone said the 'engineer' its the cistern. After some chin scratching and phone calls he told me he had wedged the cistern to keep it straight and assured me the job was done and there would be no further leaks. A week later and waters pouring from under the cabinet housing the cistern. On checking the cone and pipe had parted from the bowl and there was a length of plastic pipe lying on the floor. The pipe is just the right length to wedge the pipe and cone into the bowl . I'm going to bite the bullet and pay for a plumber to come and fix it. They might be good with drains but need to work on their toilet training
The task was to lift block paving than dig out to replace a part of the existing drainage pipe. The engineer (Mike) worked tirelessly in very hot weather to complete the job on time. We are very pleased with the result and the professional cheerful attitude of Mike

Dec 23,2020Brilliant. After having been let down by our home cover provider, leaving us potentially without use of toilet sinks, bath or shower for the Christmas period - a quick call to Metro rod directly had them coming out to save the day within a couple of hours. They were quick to get to the root of the problem and had us up and running in no time. The engineer (Gary?) took extra time to ensure my wife was at ease after a day of being worried sick too. What a star! Thanks also to Jean in the office who was so helpful. Brilliant!
