I had water leaking into my two toilets constantly during December 2020 during the Xmas season. I had to isolate the water from the mains. The two toilets are enclosed behind walls. I reported this through Lloyds home emergency and the job was assigned to Metro Rod Ltd. An engineer was dispatched on 3rd of January 2021 who arrived around 21:00. Having examined the two toilets, he had no clue on how to stop the leaks, no clue on how to remove the toilets accessories and concluded that the walls had to be smashed down advising me to go through my insurance and speake with them on Monday morning. He went to the mains and switch the handle back on and off and took a picture. He now went back inside his van and spent the next 45 minutes there to fill paperwork that he had completed a work he did not lift a finger for. The following day, I got a text my job had been closed. I got another company called KP Evans, the guy arrived and sorted out the leaks within 10 minutes and at much cheaper rate. The guy from KP Evans could not stop laughing when I told him that METRO ROD had recommended smashing down the wall. This company recruits cowboy and ignorqnt engineers. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

We had a brilliant engineer on site today, John did more than clear an original blockage which is what we thought the issue, but investigated a route cause of the problem, found a buried manhole cover and sorted the issue fully for us, he wasn't satisfied until he fully resolved the problem. He was pleasant and made sure to follow Covid guidance. Very impressed.

Very good experience in Leeds with Peter. He came on time to my mother in law’s house, and dealt with a blocked soil pipe quickly and efficiently- very friendly as well. Not too expensive either. Would definitely recommend or use again. Just what we needed.

Drilled into 22mm copper pipe, which was located under the boards with very limited space to work. John attended late evening and tried his best to fix the leaky pipe, but it was unfortunate that the bit he needed was not in his tool box. Capped off pipes and assured me that someone will call in the morning. I called them in the morning and spoke to Lisa, who was ever so helpful, and managed to get a engineer round to my property for 1pm. Nathan attended on time with the right part, fitted and put the world to right. 4 stars given because had John attended with the right parts all would had been done, however, these things happen. Apart from that can’t really fault their service as all fixed within 24hrs. Keep up the good work guys!

Not even a one star experience. Actually created more damage than the original leak. Note on reply: My complaint is logged with the insurance underwriters who I have a contractual agreement with. After your company has made spurious allegations regarding my character following your plumbers incompetence resulting in thousands of pounds worth of damage I will never be dealing directly with your company again.

We've just had the Bournemouth Metro Rod guys out to fix a leak in our water supply pipe. This required digging up part of my brick-paved drive to access and fix the pipe. All fixed and a special thanks to Sam who re-laid the bricks on the drive good as new. Far exceeded my expectations. Great job!

We called Metro Rod out to help clear a blocked soil stack pipe from our toilet. The service from Metro Rod could not have been better - professional, friendly manner when I phoned to book the job, and the engineer was excellent. Out of 3 companies we contacted, Metro Rod was the cheapest but by far the most professional and most pleasant to deal with. I'd highly recommend them and would happily use them again in future.

We were recommended Metro Rod after being let down and over charged by a competitor. I called Metro Rod on Friday afternoon, was offered a next day appointment with a fantastic, professional and informative service from a lady called Rachel. I was told they could solve the blockage within an hour, I was previously told by the competitor, this would be a 2 man job and had at least a 2 week wait, I was quoted £480. Metro Rod, charged me £95 plus VAT. I couldn't recommend Metro Rod enough and I will most definitely be using their services again.

We used Metro Rod as commercial client to survey the existing drainage in a building. For which we have been having problems to identify the real location of the existing runs and dimensions. The engineer Barry attended to site, and quickly and proactively identified the runs and helped us to identify the way the system works. Helping us to save money with costly modifications and new works.

We used the Macclesfield franchise to carry out a comprehensive survey of our septic tank in preparation for the sale of our house in Cheshire. The engineers were efficient and friendly keeping us fully informed of what was involved in completing the survey to the professional standards required. We had 2 blocked upstairs toilets. John from the Exeter branch came round promptly and soon found the blockage by putting a camera up the pipes (it was a bird's nest!) We have had problems in the past with these toilets and no one had done a thorough enough job to get to the bottom of it, so thanks John!!

Found toilet blocked on morning of 6 Jan 2021. Called Metrorod and John arrived early afternoon with phone call giving 20 min notice. He found the item blocking the external drain and fixed it within 1 hour. Could not have expected more. Derek Exeter.

We had a problem with the toilet cistern. The plumber Mark Foster, Metro Rod was very good, polite, efficient and proactive. Would definitely recommend! The task in question was quite tricky to access. He took his time to resolve the issue.

New Year’s Eve 4 pm and drain blocked so no toilets /bath / shower I contacted a local drain person Unfortunately he was in isolation because he was positive for Covid . Thankfully he recommended Metro Rod Fully professional service Engineer arrived before 6 (coming from another job miles away ) and sorted by 6.30 Huge Relief and Thanks Mikey for a wonderful job Price was very reasonable especially considering it was New Years Eve
