Currently in the process of buying my first home and things are going smoothly. Even if they didn't, I would still say that the program is very solid because it's true value is in making sure that your finances are in order to ensure that you can afford your mortgage every month, comfortably. With that said, it forces you to take a look at your entire financial picture and prioritize what's important and what isn't. Having a great counselor is a plus too!
The NACA workshop was so helpful and informative, and having a counselor walk us through the mortgage process has been invaluable.
I just recently completed my first counseling session with my case manager. This experience has been great so far, and super excited to become a first time home buyer.
I am currently going through the process of purchasing a home through NACA and so far everything has gone very smoothly. My counselor has been very informative, understanding, and thorough in explaining each part of the process as we go along. I initially discovered this program through a friend who accomplished her dreams of owning her home through NACA and I felt inspired to start the path to home ownership as well. I am very excited at what the future will hold, and because my experience so far has been great, I encourage you to try out this program if you'd like to own your own home with minimal up front costs. 😁
NACA is one of the best home-buying organizations out there. They offer a comprehensive program that allows for an affordable mortgage. I would recommend anyone to NACA especially in today's economy where it's hard to get an affordable mortgage.
NACA offers some great Benefits such as No down payment, perfect credit score , and No closing cost fees! This is a great program to help you purchase a home!!
I have been so fortunate to have Ellen Petersen as my counselor—highly recommend her services. Ellen has effortlessly guided me through the first steps of the homebuyer process. Her expertise, patience, and valuable advice have been indispensable when uncertainties arise.
I recently completed my first counseling session with NACA and to my surprise, it was not bad as I thought it would be. I have heard the process can be very lengthy and tedious. My counselor was very professional and knowledgeable about the process and gave great pointers in getting through the process in a timely fashion.
I have the pleasure of collaborating with Mr. Antonio Coronado from NACA, and I must say that he exemplifies outstanding qualities in his role. Mr. Coronado is exceptionally meticulous, displaying remarkable patience, efficiency, and a keen eye for detail. His positive attitude is truly refreshing, and his genuine commitment to assisting borrowers is evident in every interaction. I am genuinely impressed by his strong work ethic and unwavering dedication to prioritizing the borrower's needs.
I AM IN THE BEGINNING PROCESS OF APPLYING FOR A HOME LOAN. THE COUNSELOR DID AN AMAZING JOB GIVING ME THE LIST OF THINGS I NEED TO APPLY FOR HOUSING.
If you're interested in home ownership, NACA is where to start. They are not like most real estate agencies. It's a program with no down payment, no closing costs, not credit driven, or PMI and below market fixed rate. They are also non profit. NACA make sure you get a home you can afford.
NACA is great in helping me obtain my dream of owning a home. My caseworker realized it was hard for me to schedule appointments during weekdays, and volunteered to call and work with me on the weekend.
Counselors are really patient and encouraging in what can be stressful process. It is a lot of documentation needed but staff will be there for you every step of the way. Alex Beckford
My husband and I are going through the NACA process now and we are grateful for the workshops and the counselors who are helping us each step of the way. We can't wait to own our first home!
I attended the Achieve the Dream event in Richmond and although I was not as prepared as I could have been, the volunteers and counselors there really helped me get my documents in order. My counselor worked with me in explaining each stage of the home buying process through NACA. After some hours there, I was qualified! NACA is truly a wonderful program for those looking to purchase a home.
My tag team Miranda, my mortgage counselor kept me on track and motivated when I wanted to give up. Also, my outside agent Detra Smith, Coldwell Banker Brandon, was wonderful to help me get my home. Be sure to keep current with the NACA portal and uploading documents so things go smoothly. When you feel like giving up step back and regroup then get back to it.
I am currently here at the NACA event in Richmond, VA and Ms. Ellen Petersen has been so helpful. So far, she has gone through my files, asked clarifying questions and helped me to gather important information to clear up discrepancies on the spot. My experience has been very pleasant and not as anxiety provoking as I thought it would be. I cannot wait to get to the place where I am finally in my own space, thank you Ellen for being so kind and working with me.
The nonprofit was helpful in giving me clear cut direction on what to do in achieving homeownership. I enjoy the local events they offer.

Jan 13,2024NACA is an amazing first-time home buyer program. They are patient, knowledgeable and very informative. My assigned counselor, Laura, is very helpful. She will take her time to review your documents carefully and stays with you through each step of the process. While the process can be long but it is well worth it. You will end with the ultimate prize- a home to call your own!!!
