I had tried so many local options to try to get my refinance and was turned away. Cody helped answer all my questions and responded promptly and courteously. Zoey also helped keep me up to date once it switched to processing. They both were extremely flexible with their time frames to work around my busy work schedule and family/school activities with the holiday season. I am super relieved that everything came out smoothly and would definitely recommend them to help other single parents like myself

Dec 30,2024Everything was great on NAF's side. MR (loan officer) and CL (processor) were excellent at communicating. I couldn't believe how quickly (and easily) I was approved for my refi. NAF uses a national network of services providers to do the background checks, appraisals, title search/insurance and other details of mortgage loans. You may get calls from different states to request documents or schedule appointments; you also may have to be your own advocate to get the best services from the appraiser and closing company. According to my loan officer, NAF services their own loans, so you won't have to figure out where to send your check each month. The Notary/Closing agent, SO, was lovely. We signed the documents on a Saturday (12/21) at my home. I am not happy with the firm, Closing USA, however. MR communicated to me that my loan had been funded on Friday morning (12/27/2024) California time. (There's a three-business-day required waiting period on refi's. Christmas interrupted the 3 days.) I got a call from a woman in California on Friday evening confirming my address for Fed-X for some checks, but cash-out funds have not been wired into my account by Closing USA as of today, Sunday 12/29/2024. The closing company knew the loan was to be disbursed on Friday and took no action to let me know why it would be delayed. Closing USA's Loan Proceeds Delivery Instructions document did not address delays due to time of day, closing early on Fridays, or other events that might affect disbursement. I think the take-away is that NAF keeps tight control over their parts of the operation, but it's harder to manage the contractors. You need to be as responsive as you can be and protect your own best interests with the closing company. Note: This was refinance transaction, not a purchase.
