Mar 31,2024Painful and unpleasant process. Loan officer - Cheryl was uncommunicative, changed rates multiple times, and could not delivered rate as originally quoted. The whole process was painful, and almost missed closing and funding deadline. Would NOT recommend anyone to use NAF.

Mar 29,2024This company gave us an inflated amount of our home's value when we were trying to get a loan. We followed all of the company representative's suggestions and paid $1K toward a credit card to bring our credit score a bit higher, and then $540 for an appraisal - our home value came in low and the loan fell through - after paying out more than $1500! Very disappointing and totally avoidable if our home value had been accurately measured at the onset. My experience was that they were very friendly and confident up front but in the end, it was like, "oh well." If you hire this company, do your home value research yourself, including determining the comps in your area over the past 6 months.

Mar 08,2024I would avoid this company if you can. The person I dealt with was really shady and I was going to go with him and New American and then a mortgage broker contacted me and offered to have me look at my loan to give me the opportunity to shop around. They gave me a counter offer and then I asked for a revised loan estimate and what I got back was all wrong. So I completely lost all trust in Greg and when I questioned it, he was scrambling and I could tell he was just being shady and lying because he just didn't want to lose the loan. And now it has been a nightmare getting my loan and appraisal transferred because of how unprofessional this company is. He said it would take longer to close if I didn't go with them but it's because they were difficult for simply the reason that I went with a different deal. So oh well if it takes a few extra days when I know I can at least trust the other company I went with. So go with New American if you want to deal with someone that is dishonest and talks out of their ass to cover their own ass!

Feb 29,2024What can I actually say that would be positive about the final treatment I received from a very rude and unprofessional service. After jumping through every hoop that was thrown up in the air, knowing the predicament we were in, only to be treated as if I was worse than pond scum. The loan Officer never even tried to help us get a new home to move into, instead made it so we became homeless. The worst part was that he came up with thee most ridiculous excuse that I had ever heard as to why he would not send our information to the underwriters. So now, here we are, homeless and that is NOT ok! We found housing that was far below from what we were originally pre-qualified for, but that still did not matter because my husband did not have check stubs from employment in Pennsylvania. In order to start the job he has waiting for him, we needed a place to move to. Several people were made aware of our situation but in the end it did not matter. I will deter anyone and everyone that I can from using this service. Just because I would really hate to see another family become homeless just we have been forced to do. Thanks but no thanks!!!

Feb 20,2024Negotiated a loan in Fall 2023. Had to give up house after inspections. Apparently the original loan officer was overzealous and shouldn't have given us a Pre-Qualified Letter in the first place, nor approved the loan even tho it was approved on their website. Next loan officer was not really big on communication, nor timely-ness. Asked for a new Pre-Qualified letter 3 weeks ago and it still has not been processed.

More than any trait, honesty is valued most and the rest made it very easy and enjoyable. Says a lot for this type transaction and Brandon as a NA Rep. Brandon was responsive, knowledgeable, encouraging and professional. The man walked on water with this deal! I’ll be back and I’ll definitely make referrals. Ed was great as well. Don’t want to let that slide. Overall a superb experience!

Communication, Knowledgeable, Teamwork, always looking for the best option for the customer and being honest and upfront about everything. Nothing is ever hidden, and I loved that.
