Jun 07,2023What made it great was the eventual outcome which is the fact that my family now has nice home to grow up in and their friends will be able to come over without them being embarrassed about where they live. That being said I have nothing but respect for Mr. Rodriguez even in my moments of frustration and anger with the underwriter he kept his calm and treated me with respect. He treated me like he would expect to be treated and that was very considerate of him. He could have just written me off and went on about his day with his next client but he didn't! He refused to give up even when I had given up on ever getting the house. He went above and beyond in my opinion even working with my realtor to help make things happen for us. I really feel that sometimes people should step back and look at a situation for what it really is and not what they think it is by numbers written on paper or typed up online. I feel he did that and was able to see on both sides of the fence at the same time and understood what was going on in my situation. He really took the brunt of my frustration with underwriting a couple of times and I truly hope he accepts my apology for being a jerk a couple times. Now as for the underwriter on my application I honestly don't know how she was ever even hired for the job if she doesn't even know how to read a checkstub for one and for two wants to argue about laws and documentation that she knows nothing about. That's a different person and no fault of his so I'm going to leave that as it lays because nobody is going to steal my happiness at this point. It's done and over with and I hope I never have to deal with someone like her again...In closing I would like to say, Thank you Jose for all the work hours you put in to this and for giving us your undivided attention when we needed you the most. You have made one family in Texas very very happy....You're an amazing person and I hope you continue to prosper in the years to come with your career and at home as well! 🏅🎉

Jun 07,2023I walked into this not really knowing much as a first-time buyer with a property that had a reverse mortgage on it. Ashley was the only lender I spoke with that didn't stress me out. With a very soothing demeanor, she assisted me in getting closed in a month's time give or take a few days. I really appreciate all of the time she put into helping me fully understand the process at each step and making it so easy to work with New American Funding.

Jun 05,2023New american funding have good staff who are very supportive and will make your loan smooth as possible. They allow me to get a loan eventhough I am travel RN. Some lenders denied me from the beginning but for them, I just comply the documents and they process my loan. Kudos to Jay Sedrowski (loan agent) for the very grate Job he did for me and my family.

Jun 05,2023Best part of this company was how streamlined the process was and my agent Cesar Zarate was always reachable and available to find out answers to our intricate questions, which proves that he knows what he is doing and is humble enough to go ask someone else who knows the answer instead of just making something up. I appreciate straight forward, honest and compassionate agents. We would have been able to close on our house within 22 days because of how efficient NAF is,(the seller actually held up the closing process) I highly recommend NAF and Cesar Zarate.

Jun 05,2023My loan officer was Kaitlyn, and she was great. From the beginning she took her time to explain, she was responsive, and she cared all along. Overall, she is an asset to this company. If it was not for her, it would be a bit tougher to work with the company!

Jun 04,2023New American Funding has really great agents working to support you through one of the most important moments of your life. My husband and I came into the process expecting to take our time. We ended up finding the home we wanted rather quickly. Although, we weren’t quite ready for what was to come. Mr. Miranda walked us through each step so smoothly, he communicated extremely well, he believed in us even when things got a little sticky, he always remained positive. Buying a home is one of the most important decisions ever made. However, having a team like NAF supporting you makes the buying process that much greater! Edwin Miranda is the best in the business and I would recommend him to anyone who’s looking to purchase a home! Remember these two words EDWIN MIRANDA!!!!!!!!!

Jun 03,2023Joseph was great at the start asked for all kinds of documents which we sent immediately four or five times closing day was the 30th on the 25th. They needed another document which we sent immediately did not close on the 30th. They said closing on the June 2 and on June 1st Because I called in the evening Joseph said he called me in the morning which he did not now we can’t get any communication with Joseph. Neither can the real estate person very unprofessional. just want to close on time. I have appliances and other things coming to the house can’t do you now have to cancel everything.

Jun 01,2023The main reason we wanted to refinance is to put my name on the house as my husband wasn't well. (It was all he could do to get through the paper signing). This was in August 21,2021 and he wanted to make sure I would be OK. He passed away 6 months later. They said they could not put me on the loan because of my credit. There are no hard inquiries on my credit report from them. They told me not to worry. They will put it in a Trust which we believed to be like how my moms home was put in a Trust. To me is deceiving especially if you're not a specialist in underwriting. My daughter in law is. She explained what they did. She also told me there is no reason I couldn't have been put on the title. I recently found out that there was never a HOA disclose to any owner on this property since they were built. The person over it will not turn the water on so this place is going to hell and I can't do anything about it because my names not on it. The hell this has caused me. Exactly what my husband was trying to protect me from. New American Funding services the loan. Fannie Mae owns it. Had we known this. He would have put it in a Revocable Trust. The calendar on this site won't isn't working when it asks date of service.

May 19,2023After a few weeks of jumping through hoops sending a million documents (something different every day) and fixing issues we got pre-approved. Looked at a house etc then we got un-approved due to a "technicality"with me switching from a 1099 contractor (DJ) to a W2 employee in a "different field" (IT). I had gotten a new job after covid. Don't waste your time with NAF. Probably a blessing in disguise after reading all of these actual reviews and not the fake ones they link you on their initial e-mail.

May 15,2023My refi was quick and painless all thanks to my Loan Officer Korbin. He was quick to respond to any questions, guided me step by step through the process and consistently followed up on all my questions. It was because of his friendliness and communication that I decided to go with NAF. My refi was efficient and only took about a month to be completed and funded. I highly recommend Korbin if you’re looking for someone that’s responsive and supportive through the process. This was challenging because I needed to refi to pay off debt and improve my credit score so even though the rates are higher than my previous loan it was what I needed to gain financial stability and I appreciate the ease of this experience.

May 11,2023THIS is going to be a long one. I started with New American Funding on February 14th, 2023. We were selling our FL home and buying in KY. THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE and NAF should be ashamed; ashamed because they left me, my husband, our son with autism, and our 6 dogs homeless for 5 days AFTER they reassured me they could close our KY home on time. Let's start with the promise: I reached out to C and said "Are you sure you can close by March 14th because I have another mortgage company (CARRINGTON) that will." She assured me they would. First lie. Then, I told them I would bring 100k TOTAL to the closing and we would back into the down payment after costs; they said that was fine. At the final close, they upped the closing money to over 107k DESPITE THE FACT THAT FHA DOES NOT REQUIRE THAT LARGE OF A DOWN ON A $299K home. As things didn't progress, I reached out to RA and he referred me back to customer service. During all of this, I was stipped, stipped, and stipped again. I was stipped to explain why I wanted to move to KY? Why I took money out of my checking account? THEN we were assigned to C in customer service. I kept reminding him (I have every email) that we would be homeless and he kept responding with more stips. When we closed on our house in FL on the 17th, we were officially homeless. To add insult to injury, he and the underwriter sent me an email STIPPING ME FOR MORE DOCUMENTATION because I refused to send ALL of my FL proceeds from the sale of our home to their title company and they would SO KINDLY send ME BACK the overage after we closed (with no closing date in my future). We needed that money to live on while we waited for New American Funding to decide they would close on our loan. This cost us and extra $1200 for the week AND an incredible amount of stress (for anyone that has a child with autism, you will understand this!!). This whole 2 month process was horrible. A light at the end of the tunnel: I saved every email and text from this company and their representatives. I reached out to news channels in EVERY state they do business in and I was surprised to know that this is a newsworthy story. I have submitted all of the emails and texts and people want to hear my story!! I will reach out to every news agency I can find so this doesn't happen to anyone ever again. I also reached out to the Federal Housing Administration and they are very interested in the enhanced stipping I was given when I refused to send the proceeds to their title company and was told I would "get the overage refunded to me at closing." Again, I DID NOT HAVE A CLOSING DATE. When I again reminded C and C I would be homeless, their response was "make other arrangements." PLEASE, PLEASE do not get your mortgage with New American Funding; they are heartless and will leave you in peril as we were. My son has a history of bolting when he is stressed; this was the ultimate stressor for him (and us!!). There are better options!! I waited so long to post because I have already seen what they do when you don't do what they demand. I will be refinancing as quickly as I can. I have every document/email/text and, if you'd like to see them, respond and we can connect.SEE NEW AMER FUNDING REPSONSE BELOW. IT WAS THE VP OF CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO DID ALL OF THIS TO ME!!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!

Jun 08,2023Mark worked hard to help us out, we had an unusual situation in that I was traveling overseas and my husband was at home. Mark was patient with working with us considering the time difference and communication problems, he did great. We were able to get all the paper work done the day I returned.
