No matter what response they give you when you are going through monitored claim or a stamp and go, it will not make up for the lack of care, concern or understanding this company reflects. Their process lacks any urgency or professionalism for you and your contractor. We have NEVER been through anything like this and this company makes this process horrible. The insurance company was Awesome! So when shopping for mortgages buyer beware!

This company is the worst to work with when you experience a natural disaster. I pray that anyone who has them for a mortgage doesn't have to go through what many including us I have heard is going through because of them. They have no sense of urgency to help aid you in the process of fixing your home. They do not care and their process makes you feel like a criminal. Plzzzzz find another company to work with

I applied for a home mortgage with this company, they asked me for a few documents and sent me a preapproval letter. After finding a house, they asked me for a bunch of documents I give them every thing they asked for, they said I need a gift letter, my gifriend gave me one, we have been together for 7 years New American Funding told me she has to be family, so I call FHA to verify, Of course they were wrong, FHA said a close friend can give you a gift letter. The loan Officer doesn't like to return calls I will never use this loan company again. šŸ˜’ waiting on closing in 3 day, let's see how that goes.

Reading other reviews here, my experience is so eerily similar! Found this mortgage company on Creditkarma because of low rates, called and got connected with Jacob Fragos. He sounded super friendly, said he needed to check my social in order to give me a loan estimate. I let him do it (a hard pull), and then he said everything looks great, you have great credit history, now I just need a ratified contract. I said a ratified contract just for a loan estimate? He said yes. A few days later, I ratified my contract, so I put in all materials through their application system, and immediately called him to potentially lock my rate. He did not answer my call that day (Valentine’s Day, so I can understand). Next day, he called and he said he received all materials. He said he would give me a loan estimate. That was ~2-3 PM California Time. It is now next day noon, and still no loan estimate. I don’t expect one to come, and similar to everybody else’s situation, they have all my information! I am very disappointed in him, and the nonchalance he has for my application. They better not do illegal stuff with my information. This is my story, and you can be the next victim, so please find a lender whose reputation can be vouched by your friends/family/coworkers. That’s where I am taking my business to.

I am extremely disappointed. Talked on the phone for an hour promising this promising that, seemed super legit. The guy was pretty knowledgeable. PULLED OUR CREDIT AND NOW HAS OUR INFO. Said he was going to send me a pre approval, never got it. Emailed him for it again and instead of resending it, just responded back ā€œI already sent that over.ā€ Called. Texted. And Emailed multiple times, no answer. Since then, my husband has not stopped receiving spam calls and texts from different ā€œlenders.ā€ They sell your info. This place is a scam. Just take it from us!

Loved our loan processor Bryan but the senior pressor had many mistakes on our loan and even our title company complained about how scattered the senior processor was.

While we had an excellent experience with loan officer Reza who has been going above & beyond from day one and whom we gave four star, the good experience we had with him went downhill once its out of his hands and went to lender. Two business days before closing lender came up with several requests which should have been requested weeks ago. She also said that an online "Home Buyer Tutorial" needs to be completed and the exam passed in order to close. The tutorial was extremely lengthy that we had to call out from work just to complete it for closing and so many more headaches. Still lender was unable to complete things for closing date. So closing was pushed to the following week. Some closing documents such as deed has an error since the lender didn't follow what borrower requested and sent wrong information to Title Comp. It would be great if New American Funding focuses on having lenders that are dedicated to their job, who are capable of providing an accurate and on time customer service.

Special thank you to Kat Lee for her expertise and for going above and beyond to help me close. I admit, a little along the way, I was getting worried, but Kat's communication, day or night, is; what helped me along the way. Kat, help me lower my rate and closing cost. (The girl is bad) The American Funding team worked hard with; helping me succeed, and I am proud to say I am New HOMEOWNER!! Thank you, New American Funding!

Absolutely terrible service. They took 3 months to process our loan and made multiple mistakes all along the way. They we’re difficult an inaccurate with what they had originally disclosed. We own 5 homes and have never worked with a more unqualified, difficult, dishonest and poor customer service lender in all of our years of realestate financing. This is by far the absolute worst lender we have ever come in contact with on every level of magnitude, financing, professionalism and organization.

So I tried calling this number listed and just get hung up on. Worst customer service like robots scripted conversations and zero help! I would stay away from this place! Not very honest! Closing paperwork does reflect original paperwork on payment it is several hundred more than closing paperwork shows! Loan officer blew us off and when I called New American they acted like they never heard of them. I did send a screen shot of his email. Just stay away from this place!!

Have a client buying a home and they unfortunately went with New American Funding as their lender. I tried to convince them to go with a local lender, but they went against my advice. Everything seemed fine at first and communication was good, now with less than a week to closing all these issues have come up. All of a sudden they don't answer calls or get back to emails/texts/voicemails. They can't tell us whats going on and why we can't get one simple document e-mailed over. They have a separate department for every little thing and have terrible communication amongst their own departments. STAY AWAY unless you want headaches and delayed closings.

I was matched with New American Funding by going through fha.com website on or about 11/13/22. The next day I received an email from a loan consultant named Jennifer Reagan #875324 representing the company. She asked me some questions about my employment, finances etc, and then expressed her excitement to help me with my home financing and I indeed qualify for an fha loan. Jennifer told me to contact her if I had any further questions and that she would be in touch. About two weeks passed with no contact. I contacted Jennifer to ask what documentation she needed from me so I could have them ready when she requested them as I wanted to have them ready as two weeks had already passed. I sent over the requested documents the next day. She sent an email about homeowners insurance with a company ad of a insurance company I may consider using a few days later. I replied to the email with ā€œhave we even made it to this point yet?ā€ She replied with an dollar amount for a home that she said I would qualify for. She also offered to assist with finding a real estate agent that could assist me in locating a home within the specified price range. About 2 or 3 weeks pass I contact Jennifer to let her know I was interested in a few homes that I saw for sale that past weekend. I also asked if we can get the ball rolling on this process. Jennifer replies please be patient she’s trying to get these numbers right. I asked for clarity on what that meant. Fast forward on 1/3/23 I sent another email to Jennifer to let her know this process was confusing and not what I expected from a legitimate business. The same day Jennifer sent an email stating that I did not qualify for an fha loan. It took her almost two months to tell me that I didn’t qualify for an fha loan. I was very disappointed after getting my hopes up, and Jennifer stating that I indeed did qualify in all our previous conversations; with a projected dollar amount! I’m very disappointed with this company and their representative.

This company made me jump through hoops for over 11 months asking for this that and the other. I order a car a year prior to refinancing it came seven months into the process and they denied me because of the new loan that had no history. The loan should of closed on the 3rd month before the car came. After a $650 appraisal and almost a year. We didn't close. Simple ridiculous a bunch of liars.

Would not suggest using nafunding they tell you are pre-approved you fill out all the paperwork sign all the documents set a closing date charge $650.00 for the appraisal then say you need to pay off a medical bill before you can get a mortgage the underwriter for FHA said this has to be paid yet they can not use a medical bill agents you so don't waste your money with this scam I will be contacting the FHA main office and reporting them

They had full information on us since October and pre-approved again in December when we found a place, we are putting 40% down and the loan is 1/3 of our household income. The reps had us sign incorrect docs to fix the lock that we were promised! Even the new docs had errors of us paying 2$ for insurance we already have a quote for. They are slow at responding and locked a Rate in for 30 Days, yet cannot seem to get it together to actually have the loan in 30 Days. The appraisal was completed as well as the inspection in the first week. So far I am not impressed and am wondering if we will even close by next week. I am thinking of going to another lender at this point!

This company is a scam. First they run my credit and never got back to me, after like two months was already about to close with a different lender, they came back apologizing and promise to give me a better rate, and the agent I worked with was Chris gore I said ok. I told him to make sure all the numbers and paper work are ok. He told me yes the numbers are good. Deceived me with a better rate . I submitted all documents After they collected the money for the appraisal. They came back to me and said my income is not enough for the refinancing. Don’t ever do business with this lender. They are scammers. Loan reference number 1000849147

Not at all impressed with their business practices. All documents were initially sent, then several of the same documents were requested again, and some of those even requested a third time. Apparent there is a lack of organization on their end and the communication is not ideal. Loan processor never answered a single question asked, just sent emails wanting more items, and when something took a couple extra hours to get, sent a highlighted email showing his initial request as if we were the incompetent ones. Changed our closing date three times, 22 hours before closing stated once again that there was a new issue that had already been brought to their attention in the beginning and it was all of a sudden an issue less than 24 hours before. Points were added to the disclosures without mention even when it was stated we’d rather bring less cash to close since our loan would be fully paid off within the next year, so points were irrelevant for our case. Would not recommend NAF to anyone that actually wants to close with a loan in tact and available to use. We began the process with NAF on 11/9, finally had some progress on 11/23, and still couldn’t be closed by 12/9, 12/16, or 12/20. Switched immediately to a new company and it has taken them less than a week to get us cleared to close. It was never an issue on our part or our documentation part, it was all issues out of NAF. Had we not switched, NAF would have costed us $10,000 in earnest money and they had absolutely no problem with causing that whatsoever.

This was a bad experience for me. I sent every document they asked me. Some was at the last minute and they expected documents at the last minute when I had to send for them and they could only be mailed. They said they needed them asap. Then after trying my best and getting everything I thought I needed I get turned down because I missed one house payment. I had to struggle to pay the appraisal which was bogus because to me it wasn’t appraised right. Mr. Utsav Brahmbhatt my loan officer and Lisa Stock my processor was difficult. Mr. U was ok until the end. He seems to be a little upset when he heard about my miss payment and told me I no longer qualify and I never talked to Lisa Stock. She never answered her phone she just emailed which was not very timely because I had to keep calling Mr. U to get a message to her. This has been a very tiring, stressful and disappointing experience for me. Please think twice. Regretfully me.
