The internal changes made within the company are clearly failing. The one thing Nexxt is lucky to have is Heather Axon, who is brilliant at scheduling and in my opinion seemed to be the only thing keeping the company going. Unfortunately, and without prior warning from higher ups; she has been transferred to a different department. To replace her is someone not experienced in the role. I have now lost a familiar point of contact and basic care. Not to mention, given less than 24 hours notice that my support worker would not be attending the following day. Due to an internal issue not relevant to me, I assume, but that has impacted me greatly Worst yet, is this new automated answering service. Big mistake, I have to be on hold for 5min, and press 4 buttons to direct me to the right department, before I can even speak to a human. This is frustrating, and for people with differing intellectual abilities, could prove damaging. I was advised that it was so calls wouldn't be missed, or if they were; they'd be returned after leaving a voicemail. However, this is not the case. No one called me back, and what if it had been a matter more urgent? Scares me to think about for others. The quality of support workers being provided has noticeably dropped in the last year or so, where you'd be very lucky to find a good pairing. I think a serious internal review is in order here, but I don't intend to stick around and wait for that to happen. Reliability, transparency, quality and communication need work.
Nextt have a fantastic support network for their support workers. I was always looked after when it came to shifts that suited my lifestyle. They have easy to use internal systems and are especially forthcoming with zero cost training to improve specific individualised participant support solutions. As someone who takes their career and service delivery standards seriously I never felt let down or held back by my colleagues or working environment. Being both a SIL and Community access worker for Nextt is a satisfying and rewarding role. I'd like to also mention that the SIL houses are completely equipped and organised clearly without the usual make do or get by with what you've got and be thankful for it attitude from management found in majority of other organisations. Special mention for Marissa Carpenter for her hard work and endless support for staff on the ground!

Nextt have amazing staff who are polite, friendly and helpful. During my time them they have attended to my needs when required very good flexibility with my university studies, in offering job also. The chain of network in the entire administration including the after hours and investing teams are highly professional and very much polite and interested in listening to the staff at any time. The team always work hard to give a fabulous support to the clients according to their wish, moreover, they provide a good environment for the staff in their work place and helps and teach to enhance the skills. The Social Work team at Macquarie Hospital have had an excellent experience with NEXTT. They are knowledgeable, recovery-oriented, caring, hard working and professional. We found it very straightforward to work with NEXTT when transitioning several long-stay consumers out of hospital. I would absolutely recommend their services when consider SIL/SDA or just for general NDIS support work.

The team from NEXTT worked closely with the treating team from Macquarie Hospital to transition a number of long-patients into one of the Group Homes. The NEXTT team were very professional, client-centered, and timely in their responses. The treating team found the transition to be very smooth which made the client feel very comfortable in an otherwise very complicated situation. We have since received very positive feedback from the clients since their discharge from hospital. The treating team at the hospital are very grateful to have worked with NEXTT and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Thornleigh Nextt Team Angela Mellors, Indra and Monique have been absolutely fabulous to work with on Thornleigh. I'm never hesitant to recommend having a chat to them because they're warm, knowledgeable and empathetic. I'm constantly given good feedback in relation to their conversations with people, and their nothing is too hard attitude. Angela, Indra and Monique make everything much easier. They work on hiring staff specifically for the person, and develop customised experiences. Nextt is a huge organisation, but this team reminds everyone that there's (good) humans behind it all. Thankyou for everything you've done!
I have been really enjoying my time working with Nextt and being a part of a team that contributes to the fulfillment of our clienteles’ everyday lives and watching them achieve their goals. John Pearce is a wonderful house leader and Ben as well also an extraordinary accommodation manger those who are being constantly approachable and I have the privilege of working with an exceptional team that support each other and work together with participants. I am a resident at Fourth Street, Bowden, and the Nexxt team have been very helpful. From doing shopping and checking the mail for me when I was stuck inside with COVID, to cooking with me. The team here are an essential part of making my life work :)

Nextt have been an amazing support to me, the Sydney team have been so accommodating to my needs and always work hard to achieve an outcome. I would highly recommend Nextt for both support coordination and Support workers in Sydney. Skye, Monique and Taylor have been just wonderful.
Just wanted to share some love for everyone at Nextt. In particular Tracey Shugg for being so professional and approachable. She makes organising support for my mother a bit less daunting. And the amazing support workers that interact with mum, Vera and Lydia! The support that you guys give is invaluable! Dementia can be pretty isolating for the sufferer and the family, but knowing we've got angels like you to be there for mum while I cant be warms my heart! Much love to all involved.
