Ocean Estate Agents have been selling Bristol homes of all shapes and sizes – large and small, grand ¬and modest, smart and not so smart… for all kinds of people since 1984.
Founder Paul Harris started the business over 40 years ago with Ocean Bishopston on Gloucester Road, and there are now 12 local offices across the city including one in Portishead and Weston super Mare.
Their ethos is very much ‘people before property’, with the emphasis on looking after the individuals and families buying or selling their homes, to make what is often a challenging experience, as worry-free as possible.
Ocean’s teams, reflect the culturally rich communities of this wonderful city, spanning a diverse mix of ages and backgrounds from across Bristol.
It is also very much a family business. Many of the team have grown up and started their own families whilst working for Ocean – they even have some second generation ‘Oceaners’ now working for the company.

Oct 02,2024Will not answer email my son moved in no microwave oven main oven not working properly fridge is acting as a freezer the room prived is only small compered to the previous room from the same company and had to paye more money from last year can not get any response addresses jackel road bristol student accommodation Still not sorted out coker and fridge and know recived a bill from cancil for tax of £1500 as they forgot to send student exemption to cancil would not recommend the to any one

He wasn't a smoozy real estate agent at all, which my husband and I really appreciated, but felt very authentic so was a delight to deal with. Sep 24,2024Ocean were appointed to sell my property in early May and I was pleasantly surprised to receive two asking price offers within the first week of the property going live. However, the agreed buyers’ solicitor was incredibly slow and unresponsive from the get-go. Spurious delays were encountered and the process was extremely onerous. Several months passed, with progress deteriorating to such an extent that I had contemplated withdrawing the sale. Mellissa (Bell) was designated my “Move Manager” to oversee the sale to contract completion and without Mellissa’s ongoing intervention and skilled coordination, the sale would have definitely been withdrawn. Her pleasant disposition and endeavour to complete was admirable. She demonstrated immense effort and professionalism in obtaining a successful outcome and relieving so much stress from my shoulders. A job well done by the Ocean Team.
