Ocean Estate Agents have been selling Bristol homes of all shapes and sizes – large and small, grand ¬and modest, smart and not so smart… for all kinds of people since 1984.
Founder Paul Harris started the business over 40 years ago with Ocean Bishopston on Gloucester Road, and there are now 12 local offices across the city including one in Portishead and Weston super Mare.
Their ethos is very much ‘people before property’, with the emphasis on looking after the individuals and families buying or selling their homes, to make what is often a challenging experience, as worry-free as possible.
Ocean’s teams, reflect the culturally rich communities of this wonderful city, spanning a diverse mix of ages and backgrounds from across Bristol.
It is also very much a family business. Many of the team have grown up and started their own families whilst working for Ocean – they even have some second generation ‘Oceaners’ now working for the company.

Replied to emails quickly, always available via phone and so helpful with booking viewings or at the end of the phone when things felt like they weren’t going well! The whole team were as helpful with viewings but Matt and Paul, who also took paperwork to different offices for us to get things moving quickly too! A pleasure to work with!

Our moving day didn’t go as planned due to the World Wide Web internet problems and phones being down in the local office, but the staff worked hard and we were eventually, and thankfully given the keys very late in the afternoon.

Aug 13,2024Don’t expect your deposit back. Still waiting to hear back on our deposit being returned over 5 weeks after leaving the property. Agent is totally not interested and just says “we are awaiting the landlord”. Tenant Deposit Scheme states deposit should be returned within 10 days of vacating

Aug 10,2024Ocean was the second estate agent I used and were very professional and upfront on charges. There were plenty of viewings which were all booked with plenty of notice. Had an offer within 6 weeks. Kept informed at all stages of the process. I also used Ocean Lawyers which made the process smoother. There was regular communication and any issues that arose were swiftly and promptly dealt with. I would definitely recommend Ocean and would use them again .
