Ocean Estate Agents have been selling Bristol homes of all shapes and sizes – large and small, grand ¬and modest, smart and not so smart… for all kinds of people since 1984.
Founder Paul Harris started the business over 40 years ago with Ocean Bishopston on Gloucester Road, and there are now 12 local offices across the city including one in Portishead and Weston super Mare.
Their ethos is very much ‘people before property’, with the emphasis on looking after the individuals and families buying or selling their homes, to make what is often a challenging experience, as worry-free as possible.
Ocean’s teams, reflect the culturally rich communities of this wonderful city, spanning a diverse mix of ages and backgrounds from across Bristol.
It is also very much a family business. Many of the team have grown up and started their own families whilst working for Ocean – they even have some second generation ‘Oceaners’ now working for the company.

Aug 07,2024I used Ocean for conveyancing on a new build flat as recommended specialists. The team were polite but sub-par on the details and I don't think best represented my interests. I'm not sure the contract had even been read prior to sending on to me; I had to go through in detail to pick up references to clauses that didn't exist and press hard for an accurate specification document. The contract feels weighted towards the vendor and the spec lacks the detail necessary to cover for a couple of disappointing elements in the final product (including EPC rating and flooring). Would use a different conveyancer in future.

Aug 07,2024Tommy was very helpful and friendly through the process of renting a flat. We had a few problems with the referencing agency but Tommy worked to come up with alternative solutions. Having had poor experiences with estate agents in the past, I would use Oceans again to find another property with confidence.
