Ocean Estate Agents have been selling Bristol homes of all shapes and sizes – large and small, grand ¬and modest, smart and not so smart… for all kinds of people since 1984.
Founder Paul Harris started the business over 40 years ago with Ocean Bishopston on Gloucester Road, and there are now 12 local offices across the city including one in Portishead and Weston super Mare.
Their ethos is very much ‘people before property’, with the emphasis on looking after the individuals and families buying or selling their homes, to make what is often a challenging experience, as worry-free as possible.
Ocean’s teams, reflect the culturally rich communities of this wonderful city, spanning a diverse mix of ages and backgrounds from across Bristol.
It is also very much a family business. Many of the team have grown up and started their own families whilst working for Ocean – they even have some second generation ‘Oceaners’ now working for the company.

From the initial house viewings, with Molly and Joe through to the completion, with Lisa they have all been both professional and personable. Although they were not our solicitors, the whole process was smooth and hassle-free due to Lisa continuously keeping is informed and in the loop, on what was happening, and what needed to happen to get us completed. After viewing the property. Kyra was on top form with sending through our application forms & also rapid with any concerns we had regarding the property making sure that anything was resolved and anything unsure about she would instantly forward us to Keith, who was also superb. They sold our house (3 times, long story) and were the agent we bought through too. Jason was brilliant in negotiating this tricky process and was fair and honest throughout. He really does know the market in that part of Bristol, you can rely on his experience. We used Ocean lawyers as well who got the job done and Debbie the move manager was always available and professional when it got to the final stages. I'd definitely recommend all their services. No matter how difficult & stressful the house buying process may be, I know Ocean will be the one company during the process I do not have to spend a second worrying about. They did an amazing job with the marketing and arranged for 23 viewings over a weekend of which ten put in offers.There were a few set backs along the way but the advice offered was very helpful. Special shoutout to Julie the move manager for all the reassurance and support.
