Mar 09,2022What a nice company to deal with , I contacted them via email for advice, I received a very prompt reply from Carl who was extremely helpful , I made a very good choice based on carls advice , my new chess set arrived very fast and was extremely well packaged , each individual chess piece was carefully wrapped up , the huge chess table was very well boxed and packaged , overall I am extremely pleased, I would highly recommend this company.

Mar 08,2022What a super company. My product was packaged very nicely and sent promptly. I had one relatively small issue with part of my board. Whereas many companies might simply have said 'package it all up and send it back', they were incredibly generous and accommodating in providing a solution that was the most convenient to me, when they strictly didn't have to. They could not have been more helpful and decent. Thank you.

Mar 01,2022I agonised over my purchase for a month and was thrilled when my Antiqued Staunton set arrived. I'd had it a couple of days when my partner decided to move the board pieces and all. The king took a frightful tumble losing his crown on the hardwood floor. I was devastated. I decided to drop Chessmaze a line to see if I could buy and replacement King - a long shot I knew but worth asking. Carl wrote back straightaway saying although they couldn't replace individual pieces. he'd have a look through their spares box. Two days later a perfect replacement arrived at my house. Whilst I realise this is a very untypical situation, I do feel it illustrates Chessmaze's commitment to their customers - I would not hesitate to use them again.

Feb 04,2022Just took delivery of an official Staunton plastic chess piece set for less then £14 with free delivery. The box these chess pieces came in makes a lovely storage box for the pieces it as the official officialstaunton.com logo on including a picture depicting the character Beth Harmon from the Queen's Gambit. When I ordered the pieces it made no mention of the box they came it that was an unexpected and welcomed surprise. It was delivered on time and had extra packaging around the box to protect it and the pieces inside. I was furnished with a tracking number to track my order. The actually chess pieces are of extremely high quality (for plastic pieces). I can't fault the service and quality of the product I received. Prior to ordering these I purchased a wooden chess piece set from another supplier for the same price. I was so disappointed in them and they never even arrived in a box just bubble wrap and brown paper and they had no weight to them at all. The set I have just got from you blows these out the water. I would say to anyone thinking of purchasing a chess piece set for playing you cannot go wrong with these.

Unfortunately 2 knights had slight damage to corner of shields. Carl was excellent in his communication and 2 replacements have arrived at no charge. What great service and products - Highly reccommended.

Jan 25,2022I ordered a chess set in March 2021 for my son, which came very quickly, is of beautiful quality, and which he loves. Last week, we had a disaster in that our dog ate one of the rooks. I contacted Official Staunton to ask if it was possible to get a replacement rook, and this morning, 48 hours later, I received not one but four replacements (I had forgotten to say which colour went in the dog so they sent me two of each). There was no charge for this, they simply arrived in the post! What amazing customer service - thank you Official Staunton!

Jan 13,2022It’s a beautiful board, and pieces. The experience of opening it all was very nice. Carefully wrapped. There was a very small superficial cut to the board on the corner, but I could have had it replaced if it mattered. That’s just the nature of deliveries.
