All One Traveller holidays have many meals, drinks, excursions and extra touches included in the headline price. Every guest gets their own double room in our hand-picked four and five-star hotels, with no single supplement to pay.
We understand that the first step towards taking a solo holiday may feel like a giant leap, so we're here to ensure you have the perfect journey from start to finish. We’ll look after all those small details that really matter, allowing you to relax and enjoy the perfect holiday as a solo traveller.
As you would expect, our holidays are ABTA/ATOL protected, meaning peace of mind in even the most turbulent times. We also feature a rewards program for our most loyal guests, helping them save money on their travels and acknowledging our gratitude to them for helping us to where we are today.
I thought the food in the hotel was very poor. Would have preferred better food and less wine The tour was well organised and supervised.
Lake Bled was my fifth trip with One Traveller (OT). They obviously do a lot of things right as these have all been in the space of one year and I am booked again for February. Why I have not given full marks lies in the fact that there is a great divide between their different Tour Leaders . I have had 2 outstanding leaders, one above average and two pretty poor. It makes a huge difference to one's enjoyment and the group feeling they generate Lake Bled was the most recent trip and it was an entirely delightful centre. Tranquil, uncrowded, and fairy tale setting. Excellent excursions to key places in Slovenia. Hotel was one of the ones that I have least liked with OT. Too big and a holiday camp feel about the dining room in the evening . It had lots of coach parties who were touring and only stayed a night or two. Other issues with the hotel too (charging for water etc) but they do have a magnificent spa. Hotels on all my other trips have been smaller and there have been several that I have loved staying at. Trips I would most recommend have been Stockholm and Baltic States. Would not recommend a cruise as there is always plenty to occupy oneself with and people meet very easily on cruises. OT doesn't really add to the cruise experience. One of the joys of travelling with OT is that the other people are always very amenable. There hasn't been anyone on any of my trips who was unpleasant and many who were interesting kind and helpful, and I could have made lasting friendships with, if I had more space in my calendar . I was the only man in the total party of 31 to Lake Bled. This didn't matter at all. Usually the split is about 70%F to 30% M. I hope to continue travelling with them for a few years yet (I am now 84 and have usually been just about the oldest person on each trip) Next is Nile Cruise which I eagerly await in February
We had a superb tour leader in Jan Lumley for the trip to Lake Garda. The hotel was comfortable and the staff friendly and attentive. The food was good and the wine generous. The Olympic swimming pool was a bonus. The excursions were well planned, although it would have been better to have the rest day immediately after an exhausting tour of Venice (I understand this will happen next year). We were lucky to get the same excellent coach driver most days and even luckier with the weather, as the sun shone out of a cloudless sky all week. My one criticism would be the size of the party – there were 29 and should have been 30 – however, we all got on well and the system of rotating places at dinner made it possible to get to know most of them.
Brilliant holiday in Prague. The hotel was very good, lovely large room and walk in shower. The food at the hotel was good. The two tour managers were really helpful and entertaining. The only downside was the goulash restaurant where the food and service were awful. The excursions walks etc. were interesting especially the monstery library private tour. I'd highly recommend this tour and One Traveller
The great variety of destinations and activities on my recent holiday to Lake Garda made this an excellent holiday. Also, the professional handling of any problems by Jan Lumley ensured we were well looked after at all times. She struck just the right balance of friendliness and leadership skills. The Poiano hotel was perfect and the weather was bright sunshine throughout.
Wow, Lake Garda is a perfect trip for a first timer on a solo holiday. The itinerary was varied, with so much to look forward to every day. Quite a busy trip, so if you want to stay in bed until 10am or cannot walk so far choose an alternative. I was blown away by the varied landscapes and stunning beauty of the region, all helped along by our knowledgeable and passionate tour manager. Wonderful trip. Thank you. Can’t wait until the next!
Tried to book my first trip with OneTraveller only to be frustrated becaue they wouldn't accept my American Express credit card (not a charge card). Lots of travel agents and travel co's do accept AmEx. The tales of AmEx charging more are probably apocryphal - I would be surprised if Tesco, Waitrose, Amazon, TKMAXX Netflix and all the little high street shops in the 'shop small' scheme etc pay higher rates to AmEx than to other credit cards
Very well organized. Wonderful accommodations. Great food. Tour guide magnificent. Coach driver beyond magnificent. I’ve recommended it to several of my friends.
Just back from my second trip this year with OT, my 8th in the past few years. Each trip surpasses the previous trip.,excellence is important to this company. The tour managers are always efficient, knowledgeable and caring. It is reassuring to have the back-up if you need it,but important not to feel regimented or smothered! The tour managers are excellent at their jobs.Jonathan Clarke and Richard Lord are brilliant but every manager is equally good.Local guides are knowledgeable and friendly, coach drivers are skilful.I have already booked my next trip.Don't take my word, give it a go!
My first trip with One Traveller. My Swiss railways trip was superb. Led by Bob Sharp who was great and funny throughout the tour. I was a bit dubious about the numbering system for the evening meal. But it was certainly a good way of making sure you met everyone . Loved the video of the trip he’d made and send to the ones who wanted it, I’m awaiting my brochure now to see where to book for next year.
The venues are great as are the hotels. The Tour Managers are second to none. Always there for you, with nothing being too much trouble. I used to use several different singles tour Companies but now I only ever use One Traveller. The discount scheme run by One Traveller where you receive discount after so many booked tours is great which doesn’t stop at the first stage. If anyone was thinking of taking one of these tours, I would highly recommend One Traveller, like me, I’m sure you wouldn’t wish to use anyone else.
My first experience. Very well organised and very enjoyable
All communication , planning and advice from One Traveller offices exceptional, but hotel, and in particular food and facilities to eat food/ menu very poor verging on unacceptable. Exceptional experience in terms of venue, setting, food and host was the Wine and Olive Oil Tasing luncheon, only marred in that it was organised on the same day as the Andrea Bocelli Concert. Met some remarkable, quite extraordinary fellow travellers, that in itself was worth the trip. Thank you
My first holiday with One Travel to Tuscany and Andrea Bocelli in concert. It was amazing from start to finish. The concert was magical and the tours of the cities so informative enjoyable, even in the downpour in Florence!! Jonathon our tour guide was excellent and patient and had a great sense of humour and went over and above. The ladies I met were such a lovely group and I have certainly made some friends for life. I was nervous and anxious about going but would not hesitate to book again. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
The tour rep Richard lord did an amazing job so helpful and was consistently obliging. However the quality of the food served for dinner was not up to standard for a 4 star hotel and I was very disappointed with the quality and presentation. The hotel was lovely except for the room I was allocated on arrival which was unacceptable with a view from my window which was scaffolding and building materials. I asked for another room but they couldn’t accommodate due to the hotel being full. I was offered another room but it would have to be the next day, but I was going on a trip and didn’t want them moving me without myself being present so I decided to stay where I was.
One Traveller certainly know how to plan a holiday for mature solo travellers. We stayed at a superb hotel on the shores of Lake Maggiorre. Our included day trips were by private boat or coach, the daily tours were well organised including some little touches that make a holiday so memorable. Our guides were knowledgeable and helpful especially our own guide who travelled with us. With wonderful food, beautiful scenery and a great group of fellow travellers, there wasn't a single negative. This was my fifth holiday with One Traveller and another is booked for this year. With luck I hope to do many more.
The itinerary was generally well planned and the choice of hotel perfect, with excellent service. Only minor criticisms ; sometimes the time allowance at locations was a little too short , particularly if it included a meal , at other times possibly too long. Also personally I would like to be in a smaller group , 20 rather than 30.
Very well organised from booking - and the response to questions when booking - to the trip itself. All hotels were of a good quality and were well situated. Guides both local and from UK were excellent and the itinerary every day was excellent. We seemed to pack an awful lot in and the memories of the trip will be with me forever.
I recently went on my fourth holiday to the three Baltic States with OT. The information sent out before the holiday is excellent, everything is well organised and I have not yet come across a Tour Guide who is not helpful, knowledgeable and very approachable. I really cannot find fault with the company.
