What We Offer
All One Traveller holidays have many meals, drinks, excursions and extra touches included in the headline price. Every guest gets their own double room in our hand-picked four and five-star hotels, with no single supplement to pay.
We understand that the first step towards taking a solo holiday may feel like a giant leap, so we're here to ensure you have the perfect journey from start to finish. We’ll look after all those small details that really matter, allowing you to relax and enjoy the perfect holiday as a solo traveller.
As you would expect, our holidays are ABTA/ATOL protected, meaning peace of mind in even the most turbulent times. We also feature a rewards program for our most loyal guests, helping them save money on their travels and acknowledging our gratitude to them for helping us to where we are today.
This was the first time I had used OneTraveller and usually travel using other solo operators. The tour was well organised, varied and as advertised. The group was far too large, 28 people for one British guide and one Thai guide to manage. Instructions given by the British guide whilst on excursions was not clear and often changed which led to confusion. Evening meals were too regimented and always in the hotels where the food was often poor and lukewarm. It was a shame that local restaurants were not used in the evenings. Lunchtimes were at local restaurants and the food of far better quality and fresh.
I went to Iceland for New Year 2023 and it was very well organised, high standards for everything- the hotel was very good, the restaurants chosen were very good, all was fantastic! The tour leader Penny was very caring and professional and was looking after the group very well, so it was the local tour leader. My only pity was that we did not have enough time to relax the last day at the Blue lagoon. I was looking forward to that excursion but 2 hours was not enough as there are lots of things to do, like steam baths, sauna, water beds, face masks... we only had time to do the face masks, not even have our free drink as there was a big queue! It was quite stressful with the amount of people and the rush to go back, so no relax! That was a big miss for me :( Maria
I enjoyed my Christmas holiday in Lake Garda. The hotel staff were excellent but many of us were disappointed that our view from our rooms was of the car park and bins. We only seen lake Garda once and drove past it on the last day. The food was fabulous but way too much as lunch times we had 3/4 courses then the same again for dinner so probably a third of the food we had paid for was wasted and we felt that we were insulting the chef's by leaving it.
Good hotel, good food, good tour manager, good guide, good excursions, the Group gelled well and enjoyed one another’s company. TWO reservations: the last excursion was a non-event…. Hard to understand why you included it, given that you have so much experience of the Lake Bled area! Also I tested positive for Covid the day after my return… in fact I passed it on to an 87year-old before my symptoms emerged. I know of one other person who also picked up Covid on the tour. I advised the office immediately…. I have heard nothing since… I can’t help thinking that there was more that One Traveller could have done. That said, I had a great holiday and hope to travel with One Traveller again. James
Christmas and New Year at Lake Bled Slovenia what a beautiful country with friendly people. Yet another wonderful One Traveller Holiday overseen by an experienced Tour Manager who together with the Local Guide made sure we saw special seasonal .events that were not the itinerary. Roll on May for my next trip!
I went on the Egyptian tour in November. The content, organisation and care by the Tour managers and guides was excellent. The ships crew were good too. However, the food on the entire trip was appalling. It was virtually the same every day. This started at the Hyatt hotel at Heathrow through to the Marriott hotel in Cairo and the Regency Nile ship. .The Regency is advertised as being 5 star. Hmm….don’t know about that! All meals were buffet. At all venues the meals were meat, fish, vegetation or poultry. Each day the dishes were a variation of the previous one and lunch and dinner were much the same. On the ship there was a chef carving from a joint of meat, a large fish or poultry. Without fail, these were always over-cooked and dry. Every day, salads and soups were very similar, as were the puddings. The food choices were so predictable. Very disappointing, given the cost of the holiday. On the plus side, as far as I know, nobody got food poisoning. Further, the ship was advertised as being recently refurbished. It may well be that the public areas had been, but the staterooms were awful. I doubt that they had been decorated or refurbished from new. The ship must have been over 30 years old. The walls, presumably originally white, were dingy grey, as was the bedding and the towels. There were reports each day from fellow travellers of leaks in the bathroom and indeed some of the cabins on the lower decks were flooded. Guests were given the option of leaving their belongings in the flooded room and sleeping on a sister ship that was shadowing the Regency. The carpets in the staterooms were again, dingy and dirty. Fellow guests discussed how doors and drawers in the cabins fell off or would not close. This was my first one travellor holiday and when the shortcomings of the ship and food was discussed with seasoned one travellor guests , many said that the food was the worst that they had ever had on any of their trips. I would go with this company again because as a single travellor, I felt safe and I enjoyed the company of fellow travellers. Apart from the food and the state of the ship the trip was good.
from start to finish excellent ive been with lots of travelle companys and you are the best by far
They are a brilliant company, they source good hotels, put together interesting packages and have experienced and friendly tour managers with you every step of the way. My Christmas trip to Dresden was a packed itinerary with with trips from Christmas markets and a riverboat on the Elbe to winetasting and the ballet.
Just back from Christmas in Switzerland.Lots of laughs with new friends. My favourite day was the Lake Thun afternoon on the boat. Also restaurant on Christmas day when weather was perfect for views.
Used One Traveller for the first time this year a bit apprehensive as the time drew nearer needn't have worried had a brilliant holiday in Spains Costa de la luz great group manager excellent excursions had a far better time than I thought the week was perfect so good have booked a holiday for next June and looking at one for September
I have just returned from my sixth holiday with One Traveller, this time in the Basque Country, and as usual had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The organisation was faultless, the hotel in a superb position and the food and wine experiences out of this world. However again - as usual - at least half of the pleasure of the holiday comes from meeting and getting to know our fellow travellers. It is a joy to meet so many interesting and friendly new people, and the laughter never stops! I am planning my next trip already and wouldn't use another singles company.
I had a very enjoyable holiday in Hampshire recently. The hotel was excellent: very comfortable, good food, comfortable bed. Lovely atmosphere in the hotel. Our visits to Winchester, Bombay Gin Distillery, HMS Victory, Mary Rose, Beaulieu Motor Museum were also interesting and enjoyable.
Visited Opatije in Croatia with the Company recently. Found the pace of the holiday far too fast for 'Mature Travellers' and on one occasion we were eating our lunch at 3pm only to be faced with dinner at 7.30 pm. The Croation guide, though excellent in his local knowledge and very personable, was far too detailed in his commentary on the places we visited which marred the experience.
One Traveller - what can I say. I found them in 2017 my first trip was to China, a scary experience on your own, however I needn't have worried I had a fantastic time. I have now done 10 trips with them and wouldn't use any other company. Earlier this year I did their new trip to South America. It was still during quite a lot of restrictions and covid testing but their organisation was first class and of course they have the best Tour Managers! I would encourage anyone to travel with them you will make lots of lovely memories and many new friends.
Went away in September and was a little anxious as it was my first journey alone. I soon realised I was not alone as everyone was so friendly. The tour manager was very helpful and efficient and everything went very smoothly. Have already booked my second trip and can't wait.
Hi Just an update on the company they did finally contact me after I wrote the last review they said they have changed the hotel and tours and I have accepted a token of goodwill for some sleepless nights due to the location of the hotel opposite a all night and noisy bar. Thats a reasonable outcome and I would travel with One traveller again on a tour thats well tried and tested.
As a long standing and happily satisfied customer of One Traveller, I was bitterly disappointed with the week in Stockholm. This was a new holiday and a few teething problems were to be expected but there was so much wrong the holiday fell far short of One Traveller's usual standards. The hotel, best described as quirky, was situated in the heart of the nightclub district and would barely rate a two star, with rooms lacking basic amenities and rarely properly serviced. The complimentary ear plugs in the room should have been warning of what was to come! For the whole week I was unable to get to sleep before about 2am and on the final night no sleep at all as assorted clubbers, police, drug dealers and ladies of the night gathered on the pavement outside till gone 6am swiftly followed by the street cleaners! I believe One Traveller received so many complaints that they have now dropped the hotel from it's programme and have made changes to the holiday. This means that they do listen to feedback but I have been patiently waiting for an apology and for some recompense for what was, in effect, the "holiday from hell"
I've recently returned from a lovely week in Vienna organised by One Traveller. This was my second holiday with this Company but there will be more. The organisation was brilliant, the tour manager David was knowledgeable, had a great personality and the patience of a saint! The hotel was relaxed and friendly with a 'homely' feel. I met a wonderful group of like minded travellers some of whom I will meet again on future adventures. Thank you One Traveller for making our visit to this beautiful city such a truly memorable experience. Susan Dholakia
I've been on number of One Traveller holidays ranging from 5 days in Liverpool to 14 days in each of Thailand and Georgia. On each holiday we have been led by an experienced Tour Manager who has ensured that everything goes as near to plan as possible and that all members of the group have a wonderful experience. Additionally very good local guides have been used either occasionally or, when abroad, attached to the group for the whole time. Accommodation is always good quality and the included dinners in a variety of types of establishment. Some may think OT is rather expensive but all the trips I've been on have been excellent value for money. I now have a further 2 trips booked with them

Jan 09,2023The venue was magical - Iceland for the New Year - One Traveller put us in an excellent hotel; the meals were very good indeed; the sights were wonderful; the organization was first-class. I would use this company again.
