We understand that the first step towards taking a solo holiday may feel like a giant leap, so we're here to ensure you have the perfect journey from start to finish. Jul 07,2023This was a trip of a lifetime! The whole tour was well thought out and we had some wonderful experiences. The restaurants we went to were varied and generally of excellent quality - including some real treats! All the hotels were good and the one at Hakone with a private onsen bath on the balcony was a delight! The arrival of a typhoon impacted the planned itinerary, but adaptations were made and it didn’t spoil the holiday at all. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s on offer for 2024!

Knowing how well the holidays are organised I knew I was going to have a great time visiting beautiful places but also having a little free time to enjoy with newly found friends. The tour manager, Serena, was caring and helpful and always ensured our excursions ran smoothly I have already booked another holiday with OT!

Jul 07,2023I was apprehensive about taking my first solo holiday since my husband died. We used to travel and I really wanted to carry on. I could not have been more reassured from my first phone call and all the subsequent arrangements to my return home. The holiday to Slovenia was all it was advertised to be and it was a pleasure to be with my fellow guests. A first class company who I will be happy to travel with again

Jul 06,2023I rarely write reviews; an experience has to be exceptional or disastrous before I will bother. I have travelled extensively around the world with some of the highest regarded tour companies, so was apprehensive in using One Traveller, but chose it as the first holiday I would have to take alone. The pre-meeting prior to the flight and the rotation at meal times ensured that no-one ever seemed in the slightest bit isolated and, indeed, there was a huge amount of genuine laughter and friendship for the duration of the trip. The tour manager was superbly calm in dealing with the few small issues that arose and was acutely aware of her travellers' needs without being overly protective. The balance of excursions (never compulsory) and free time was good and the local guides all good humoured and very knowledgeable. Thank you One Traveller, my next holiday with you is already booked.

Jul 06,2023My first trip with One Traveller, booked because I wanted to see the Vasa Museum in Stockholm and the trip was available. The other visits were also well worth while. It all went very well, everyone was friendly and the Tour Manager Penny was excellent, coping well with the occasional problems thrown up by local coach companies. The random positioning of places at dinner worked well so we all got to talk to different people.

Jul 06,2023The holiday was badly let down by the food. Every meal we had one choice. If you didn’t like it ,tough. The meals were small portions and not good quality. Everyone else in the restaurant chose from the full menu. Not us. We were pushed in a corner or given another room. You let yourself self down badly trying to save money.

Jun 19,2023excellent organisation in the hotel we stayed at the places we visited and the beautiful food on offer.the tour guides were brilliant and we were well looked after. just a minor criticism we do not need to be communicated with all the time and as a human can only absorb so much information at at any one time especially early morning with a long day ahead. overall a wonderfull holiday thankyou one traveller

Jun 12,2023I had a wonderful holiday in Opatija, Croatia. It was my first solo holiday, so a little but daunting but I loved every minute of it. Our group got along so well, everyone mixed in and enjoyed themselves. Alison our tour manager was extremely efficient and great fun to be with. Our local guide Lee was excellent and very knowledgeable. I am now looking at booking another trip for 2024.

I’ve used all the other solo companies and none of them compare with the sheer quality and attention to detail that I experienced on my travels through Tuscany. The tours, hotels and restaurants were all superb and our guide Jonathan was the epitome of charm and unflappability.

May 20,2023My recent trip to Japan was my 14th holiday with One Traveller. If there is something worth seeing in a country, it’s on the OT itinerary. You are travelling with like minded people and many friendships are formed. The tour managers are first class. The staff in the office are so helpful and knowledgeable during the booking process and the pre holiday information is superb. You really do feel that you are part of a family when you travel with OT.

May 07,2023Very impressed with the quality of my first holiday with One Traveller to Sorrento and the Amalfi coast in April. I only have high praise for our tour guide Jonathan plus the wonderful local guide Sabine, who enhanced every visit with her knowledge and humour. Lovely, comfortable hotel with views over the bay and excellent staff. It was fun to be with a group of new and interesting people and One Traveller certainly lived up to the good reviews I had previously read.

May 03,2023My first trip with One Traveller - but not my first venture into the solo traveller industry - and I can say with complete honesty the experience was faultless, due largely from the confidence I gained when dealing with your admin office prior to the start up of the trip and most definitely because of Jonathan, our Tour Manager, for providing us with the most quietly efficient yet fully engaged professional support throughout the trip (the Amalfi Coast - April 2023). Your company - and all staff whether in the office or working directly in the field are far superior in the service they provide to guests in the single traveller category. In the past I have travelled with 5 other UK companies whose service was - in my opinion - mediocre at best - and each one of them could learn so much from observing the unwavering standards your company sets itself. Congratulations - and thank you to all of you.

Jul 07,2023I wanted a holiday where I could achieve my dream of travelling to the Canadian Rockies but without all the hassle of arranging it and the anxiety of going on my own. One Traveller was perfect, as everything is arranged and all you have to do is turn up! It all felt very safe and extremely well organised. The group wasn’t too big and I never felt alone unless I wanted to be. The tour manager was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. I will be travelling with them again.
