This company is a disgrace everything done purposely to cause harm to my household taken them to court & back at it again due to breach of contract you lot should be ashamed becareful with workers as 1 came in my house recording my child on his mobile & making inappropriate comments to myself but guess what nothing was done all lie every single 1 of them but the workers will gladly expose the company & bad mouth bosses
Again an excellent response.
When I first Moved into my Places for Peple flat through the seaside to countryside scene from London to Norfolk could not understand that as soon as I viewed has to pay rent from that day , Places for people knew people had to give notice of four weeks to the Council/Housing Association I was with at the time so basically we have pay rent on two properties as we can't move straight away as need to pack and sort a lot of stuff out they actually put people into yet a a private ltd company have very few share holders and their profit last year was over £211 million they try to put themselves across as a caring Association but they are in it for money not, last year service charges went up over 50% shameless, we had a meeting today as decided to look at communal service charges a neighbour and myself did research, we discovered lots of discrepancies for one Admin Charges are not a service charge, Health & safety Compliance is not also it's a legal requirement for any landlord this year have changed nearly £4000 for community hall which is used for 5 hours a week and is only on when tenants using hall seems a bit harsh, it was neighbour one day whom said to look at charges collectively rather then per tenant weekly we had a meeting with estate liaison today with a long list of questions. What is concerning me more is the Gas we can sort service charges later, I moved in October 2022 and had a smart meter installed I was issued a warning notice which Ovo and myself reported to them straight away, the gas engineer told me the pipes have been put in back to front and if a leak outside properties it will come inside, the engineer him and gas company are legally blinded to inform Landlord these pipes have not been fixed as another tenant in April was given same notice but naively I thought no Landlord would mess about with GAS, whilst this is going on a few weeks ago Cadent Gas engineer turned up they maintain and fit all main Gas pipes across England & Wales turned up needing to get in side building where community centre is which has a code to get in, the tenants use to have it but it was changed, so they can't get in, engineer spoke to neighbors whom was around at time and apparently their is a gas pipe put in when built under community centre and if they don't get in, if they can break in, and condem the hall and get a warrant to gain entry, this is so scary that in 2024 a big company like them, whom made all that profit don't care if me and my neighbours die we spoke with a neighbours friend whom specialises in Housing law says this is criminal negligence and we collectively are not worried as much about charges but rather the fact that one night we never wake up again you are shameless Places for people as tenants are all less able or vulnerable so sad to think a business has such lack of Health and safety and concern for their tenants
been emailing regarding this issue for around 9+months, keep getting passed around different people, giving me different excuses. tree over grown, over hanging the roof, allows mice/rats/squirrels to access my roof space, i have traps and trap vermin on a weekly basis. the tree cuts out the light, scrapes across the roof, caused moss to grow and make the place damp. they are now suggesting i cut it myself, what an absolute disgraceful company this is, dodgy landlords or what iv contacted the focus team, watch this space ! UPDATE..... CONTACTED FOCUS TEAM AS ASKED... . JUST MORE EXCUSES
Cavendish court derby, Well what can says, service very very poor since changed over company, no one bothered getting things done. Security lights have gone, we walking in dark, carpark is a dump, whitelines are phathic, housing officer doesn't do owt, fokes smokes allsorts & supose get rid & dont..there's lot more but can't say. can't says
Recently new tenant. Moved 3 months ago and so far no complaints. It was a long process between being offered to moving in, waited 4 months but other than that has been a smooth journey. All staff I’ve spoken to have been nice and made the transition smooth. Only downfall I would say is the property I’m in the corridors/stairs could do with a paint as walls have many black marks on them , making it look unpleasant.
Very friendly and quick replies and helpful!
We got damp and mould in our attic. When it Rain water dripping through window and walls, on 30th October'2025 Roofing work going to starting. I took week off from work so I could be home. Job ref: SA-108990 Two worker came look around took pictures and said we need to order scaffolding which will take 3-4 days. Then on Sunday I received msg from PFP Repair job ref: SA-186272 that the work will start on 17/03/2025. That mean we have to wait other 5 months more. Since 2023 work should have started. Every week they take rent payment from my accout on time, but when it comes to repairs Places for People dont care. We thinking taking legal action against Places for People, regards Damp Mould and roof leaking so badly. Plus we got medical condition.
I am not giving PfP the 4stars, but Mr Micheal Frazier below who reports of a neighbour surveillancing everyone - if you live at leadhill rd I am the one whom he is watching. He has my immediate neighbour using an app that films inside of my home. The root cause to this little napoleon's campaign (from Mar 2020) is his wife teasing his cowardice, he encourages my immediate neighbour and her family to use noxious and excessive smoking substances into my home. He is a compulsive liar, always has to hide behind others getting them to complain, then stepping in appearing the wounded saviour. Where there is harmony this neighbour WILL sow discord. My previous Housing manager disclosed medical and conversation details of mine with this man and his wife. Let me save someone out there alot of time - Council environmental management can't act on the excessive smoking because we are a housing association. I have to use 2 filter masks often 3 at the same time, but this is deemed acceptable by PfP. Thank you Mr Frazier for highlighting what goes on - I don't know if you are in Chesterfield, I have no doubt there are many neighbours like the gentleman filming everyone at our location.
Good communication.
Overall it was very good. It is a bit of a mixture though. The original lady, who showed us the property, was pleasant and polite, and was there to greet us. She didn't sort out a couple of problems we had regarding keys though and was inaccurate on the information regarding utilities. The lady that I contacted at your main office to sort out all the final paperwork was polite, professional, pleasant and efficient. The repairs we needed have been haphazard, with people getting times and dates and jobs wrong, nevertheless the work done has been excellent and each of the workmen polite and helpful and did a good job. I think that 4 stars is about right considering the above.
Very clean & quiet....Perfect,thank-you.
Today I called about my shower being broken and the only time I can get a none emergency appointment is 26 November last week I was supposed to have the windows repaired sitting waiting for them turn up after 3 hours gets a phone call saying they won’t be coming on that day and was put back until DECEMBER 6 is that acceptable I think not you have more than 1 person doing work for yous very disappointed tenant
Prompt... you are prompt and that is important for me.
The staff were kind, professional and helpful.
I have not even moved in yet and found that all my internet cable and my tv arils have been cut and stolen asked places for people for replacement and heard nothing I can’t move in without them and I am a low income parant who can’t afford this to be replaced not sure I am comfortable moving in if this is what happens even before I have moved in properly
I have been misinformed about the road closure around my new property. We woke up one morning to find bollards across roads. There is now only one exit through an existing housing estate. I pity anyone who needs emergency services as they will never get through.
The staff make ground Gardens a much nicer place then it actually is
Each time I contacted them for any repair, they booked appointment according to the nature of issue. If the issue was on emergency basis, they would send some one within 24 hours.Mostly someone would turn up in next 1-2 hours. My over all experience is very satisfactory.

Nov 07,2024Charlotte from places for people has been fantastic! She’s made the whole process so easy and been super friendly and down to earth throughout. It’s so nice to have someone reciprocate your excitement when buying your first property!
