I’m new to my property and honestly see trying to get an issue fixed I’ve had no running water in my property this is second time I’ve a baby and a child with dysabiltys and there seems to be no rush sending someone out to sort the issue. When I was a council tenant something like this someone would be out within hours. Tried emailing and calling with no great response. Keep telling me they have 24 hours. So I decided to have a look at others reviews I’m not surprised to see it’s very poor service

Since replacing old radiators in my flat which were not fit for purpose I have had 2 call out because 3 of them were leaking, someone from the maintenance team came Friday the 13th to fix the issue, however one radiator is still leaking but it now leaks when the heating is turned off. I CANT GET SOMEONE TO LOOK AT IT UNTIL SEPTEMBER THE 30TH they keep saying just put something under it. WHAT ABOUT YOU FIXING IT PROPERLY SO I DON'T HAVE TO KEEP TAKING TIME OUT TO CALL YOU AFTER 2 VISITS IT SHOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM. The agent spoke to me like I was 3 years old which can be 😡

I reported damp in my house in April 2023, a survey confirmed this. Then nothing, zilch bugger all done. Now some 17 months later after my prompting they are finally moving to resolve the issue. This is life as a tenant of this so called reputational company. I should know, I've been a tenant for about 29 yrs, I like the house and area I live. I don't like the repetitive poor service. It is already been investigated, but let me tell you MG I have been deceived. The lady investigating Jen, customer resolution coordinator was hoping to have her reply by 13th September. She emailed asking for more time to investigate, twice. Then I get an email saying she is going on leave for a week!!! This has been on her desk since 16th August. I was quite prepared to personally deal with this, but not now. I am making enquiries to involve solicitors. I will not be taken for a fool.

They will turn your life into hell One bedroom flat with paper thin walls they move a family 2 very loud adults and a new born baby crying all the time who don't work and when i make a complaint. Guess what the woman taking the complaint has her dog barking and telling the dog no barking instead of taking my complaint seriously. Is she at home or takes her dog to work that's very unprofessional. She does not know who has moved in because they rent there flats to a agency now ... I am lost for words i have been attacked by neighbors with mental health problems arrested charged explained to the police the neighbor is trying to kill me. Investigated charges dropped by prosecution fiscal and had to attend social work meeting to let them know what i experienced. Housing officer sends 5 letters of drug dealing in stair contact the police i email housing officer to stop the letters my car has been vandalized twice. Now when i try and discuss this they tell me housing officer has left and they don't keep records of these things. Every time someone moves out the fear of the new people moving in is what my neighbors tell me puts fear into her. I am now having to take these matters to a solicitor and i am being ignored by complaints as i have asked 2 times to discuss this and have had no reply. update ....obviously the email address on places for people website is not being acted upon but you can copy and past on Trust pilot another email address but yet ignore emails from email address you provide to customers. You have time to post here but not deal with issues

Incompetent housing association. Only interested in money, waited months for 2 5 minute jobs to be completed (unsatisfactoraly) maintenance is a joke, not interested in tenants as long as we are paying rent. We as a group of tenants have realized that none of us have a copy of our misif, on requesting a copy of said misif our request has fallen on deaf ears, surprise Surprise. Avoid at all costs this horrible housing association..

Chapelton is an excellent place we would have loved to have lived there. The reason for the 1 star review is because of their sales rep at Chapelton Dylan. We have looked at 2 houses here and we had Dylan both times. The viewing went ok and we were keen to see what the part exchange would be. Now Dylan did say places for people to don’t often part exchange flats or maisonettes “I have a maisonette” but there might be another couple of options and he would ask his manager which was fine . Dylan did not get back to us or try to sell the house to us . Fast forward a couple of months the house has now been reduced and Dylan phoned us and again for a sale and we said you never got back to us on the part exchange which he said he would speak to his manager again , again did not contact us . So my GF phoned a week later and the house was sold and there was no apology or acknowledgment of him not getting back to us . Again a few days ago we called hoping we didn’t get Dylan and we did and again I’ll speak to manager as he was calling him that day and for the 3rd time no response back . We have been to a few different builders and this has been by far the worst customer service we have experienced. Even if Dylan called us back to say it was a no go for part exchange it would of been fine and I wouldn’t have to right this 1 star review.

Have now reported weeds in the guttering like botanical gardens many times. They give you advice about damp, why don't they take their own advice, do they not realise this is one of main causes of damp in flats. This could end up costing them much much more.

Shoddiest housing association company ever. Having read through multiple reviews I can see I'm not alone. This company will do all they can to do the bare minimum whilst charging you the absolute maximum for everything. Been without hot water for a week now, had to take 3 days off work to wait on for a repair within 24 hours, every single time the engineer has turned up with no tools, took a look at the boiler, and reset it saying that should work, pointed out this has been done multiple times to no avail, so they respond with call in an emergency repair if it fails to work, and to be told its an expensive boiler and parts need to be ordered. so here I am now having taken my 4th day of work to wait in yet again, and the parts have still not been ordered a week later. I've resorted to boiling pans of water to even attempt to have a bath. I have a toilet cistern that is quite literally hanging of the bathroom wall, still no repair months later. Multiple security doors within the building are broken and won't allow access or egress, massive fire safety issue. Windows that don't close correctly and make winter horrendous whilst having storage heaters that don't store the heat! 90 tenants in this building, paying rent and service fees for a sub standard building. Service fees going up every single year with fees like communal water (were not allowed to use) window cleaning (never been cleaned in the 16 years I've been here) And a super intendant that spends his days sitting in his car drinking coffee or standing around the corner smoking cigarettes. They are more concerned with whether you have a door mat (not allowed) or by charging you parking fines when you are parked in a bay with a permit visible. And don't be 1 day late on your rent, even if it falls on a Sunday, as that's the only time your guaranteed to hear from this company, they will threaten you with eviction! I genuinely could go on and on about how defective and deceitful places for people are!

People for Places failed to sign document in time for an exchange/completion on a sale where we were the buyer of a leasehold flat from an owner who had a quarter share; People for Places being the 'landlord' in this leasehold flat. We have lies and incompetence along the way so we backed out from this purchase not wishing to go forward with People for Places. It appears that they get 5 stars from people whom they help to get into property easily but one star from the tenants who are suffering from their incompetence. There is somethings sadly wrong with this organisation. I concur with the suggestion of others that they should undergo investigative journalism to expose their enterprise which seem more like a money generating exercise (who does it really profit?) than a charity set up to help people.

The right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. Job numbers and repair dates are given but nobody turns up. It took 6 months for door hinges to be replaced in kitchen. Still waiting for action on job numbers issued in April and May. Debris falling from roof supposedly forwarded to roofing company but still nothing done. Trees overgrown blocking out light, nothing done. I do minor repairs myself but there’s a limit to what I can do at 77 years old.

So far everything is going well and the help I am getting is of a great help. Being of an older generation, where the only thing computerised was a basic hand held calculator, it is difficult for me to communicate through this generation of devices, my fingers are to large and the letters too close together, plus eyesight isn't what it was. So the help I've received has been great for me so far. It is difficult being disabled and trying to remember things that happened so long ago and the people concerned have retired or have passed away themselves so I hope the team remain understanding

I'm ecstatic that I was able to exchange homes and switch to a new housing association. People for Places caused me so much stress; they never returned my phone calls and provided no support. Their phone service was terrible. But now with Midland Heart, everything has changed for the better. I'm curious why People for Places has a 1-star rating while Midland Heart has glowing reviews. People for Places really need to improve their services.

I have been living in my basement flat since August 1989. The steps are spiral, steep, made of slate & very slippery when wet. At the end of November '21 I slipped down these steps & injured my head quite badly. I have since then fallen down them again twice. Also a friend has slipped on them. I applied to have the layout of these steps changed to make safe. Planning permission was granted in March of '24. Since then, I have heard nothing from Places for People despite numerous phone calls and emails from myself. Promises are given but absolutely no action taken. If I have another accident on these steps that doesn't result in my death, I shall be taking legal advice regarding their disregard to tenant safety.
