Items arrived a bit later than expected and slightly damaged but that is probably normal. Communication was good.
Everyone was so helpful at every stage. I couldn’t recommend more highly. Helen deserves a special mention as she coped with helping my dyslexic brother sort out the customs form!

May 21,2024I feel my experience left a lot to be desired. Moving is such a stressful experience as it is and there are lots of little things I felt were not handled well. 1. I asked for a few options on the quote for different packed volumes. You have to select one of the options, but no-one explained that actually this nullifies the other options, so it was a bit of a shock when my final packed volume was half of the initial estimate, they offered only a tiny rebate and not nearly as much as what it would have been if I had chosen the lower quote option initially. 2. We put a lot of effort into getting everything ready to be packed and arranging and pre-packing things as efficiently as possible, but I felt that the packers packed the boxes quite loosely (despite me clearly explaining that we wanted to keep it as tight as possible). There was one box that was being closed up half empty and thankfully I noticed and was able to stop them and give them some extra things to pack in the space. 3. Very little communication from PSS once the shipment left the UK. No handover information from PSS, just an email from the South African handler (who had misspelt my email address, so I wasn't receiving this information, but fortunately they had sent it to the backup email address as well and that person happened to notice and forward onto me). 4. A few days before expected delivery, the South African handler sent me an email to say 'Your shipment is on hold, please contact your shipping provider". They couldn't give me any further info, this is despite the fact that PSS actually owed me a refund, so there was no documentation or fees outstanding from my side. I immediately got in touch with my move manger, and then didn't get a response until later in the day when I chased again and all they said was that it was sorted - no explanation or apology for the distress caused. Overall, I think I'd try someone else next time.
