A lovely house in a great location. It was warm and cosy with everything in it that we needed. It was very clean and we felt very comfortable in it. The outside could do with a paint, the garden not secure for dogs, and stairs very steep but did not spoil our enjoyment. Location great for walking from the door, famous Ty Coch inn just down the beach and The refurbished Cliffs bar and restaurant very good. Great place to explore the coast.
Lovely cottage, well equipped with a super patio complete with amazing view and a bubbling stream. Very comfortable accommodation, well maintained and clean. Riverside and woodland walks direct from the door. Peaceful location good for touring the area. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Clovid break One week in an ideal location. A short walk to the beach and worms head. Cottage equipped with high quality furnishings. Beds comfortable and the cottage clean and warm. Thanks James and Liz x
excellent cottage, great location. The only issue was the bathroom. Having a shower in the bath tub was challenging due to very low ceiling. But the rest of the facilities were excellent.
The cottage was beautiful and very clean inside. The hot tub was very relaxing after a days walk. Would definitely recommend and would go back.
quality cottage dont like you to complain about any thing if you do they wont let you book with them again , we stopped in a 5 bed cottage we asked them if they would ask the owner if the dog could stop on the floor in the bedroom they said yes, but when we complained about the hot tub they then said we did not have permission to have the dog in the bedroom , then they said it would be best if we did not book through them again, , so the motto is dont ask quality cottages if your dog can stop in a bedroom just do it they will never no,, haha
Excellent cottage: ideal for one man and his dog! Brilliant directions from Hannah on arrival day, and good socially distanced customer care when she popped by to check all was ok
A perfectly located and quirky house in Abermawr. Full of charm and original features, vintage furniture and a lovely open plan kitchen/dining/living area. Beautiful garden and so tranquil. A 15-20 walk through woodland to the beach, where we saw seals most days. Right on the Pembrokeshire Coastal path too, so perfect for longer walks. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars were because the two single beds were on creaky springs which kept two of our party awake at night, and a slightly bigger fridge would have been appreciated- we are a family of 6 and wanted to stock up for the week- we struggled with the size of the fridge. These are minor things though and didn't spoil a totally wonderful week in a beautiful house!
This is our first booking with quality cottages. The website information is highly informative, transparent and helpful and the on line process for booking was extremely easy to use
We have been renting holiday properties for over twenty years and this well appointed modern house in a wonderful position is one of the best.
Smithy Cottage was spacious and comfortable place to spend the week, with good size bedrooms and modern bathrooms. The pitch of the stairs to the upper bedroom is a bit steeper than you'd envisage. I didn't have a problem - just take more care than you might at home. Broadband worked OK for our mobile devices though iplayer and the like were not available through the TV. The guest information pack for the cottage was very useful and comprehensive, and the cottage owner rang me on the weekend of arrival to ask if we'd settled in OK, which I thought was a nice touch. It is very well situated for exploring the North Pembs coast and you can easily get through the back lanes to Solva and on the West-facing coastal area. Overall we had an enjoyable stay at Smithy Cottage.
Helpful responses to my queries, and am now looking forward to my holiday ! Feel confident that any future enquiries will be dealt with efficiently.
I got there eventually! Did have to contact Quality Cottages but they were most helpful. So far, so good!
A lovely restful and restorative stay at a beautiful cottage by the sea in Newgale Pembrokeshire. The accommodation is a tasteful blend of rustic/contemporary and a joy to be in. The host was very friendly. Due to Pandemic, we were not able to enjoy Pembrokeshire as much as we would like due to the (understandable) restrictions, so we simply adapted to what is. The only thing I would say is that the extensive Covid guidelines supplied by Quality Cottages prior to the trip did not match up with our lived experience of the stay. We brought far too many things with us expecting an empty cottage due to pandemic. However, we trust that the minimal guidelines and precautions were adhered to.
Still waiting for Quality Quality cottages to get back back to me about the £107 they owe me. They lied to the owners of the house we stayed in saying they would contact me. Fiona was sent evidence that the website price was different to the invoice in August and has still not been back in touch. Their phone just rings, no answer machine. Very unprofessional. They seem to keep their home owners happy and will answer their calls. Do not trust as a customer.
Friends of mine have booked to come to Pembrokeshire and because where they live has gone into local lockdown it is against the law for them to travel but the very unprofessional people at quality cottages won’t give them a refund, with these being exceptional circumstances then you think they would be a bit more helpful and understanding. My friends are gutted they can’t come on holiday but the situation is out of their hands . Another friend of mine was also coming for a long wknd and their travel company gave them a refund straight away. It’s very disappointing the way they have been treated.
What a wonderful bolthole in a most scenic part of South Wales. Our home for the week, “ Penmorfa Fach”, offered supreme comfort. It was spacious, very comfortable, with a delightful garden and had everything provided with some lovely extras. I would highly recommend this property.
We have just spent 6 nights here. This cottage is delightful and was Covid immaculate when we arrived. Absolutely all the basics are there, with a well equipped kitchen, comfy lounge and big bedrooms. The cottage is on a quiet road with parking outside for two cars and a large garden to the rear. It is not luxurious or particularly up-to-date but it has been thoughtfully equipped and is a comfortable base from which to explore the area. It is only four minutes drive from the main St David's road so enables easy access to all the local beaches and attractions. A petrol station nearby has basic shopping and foods whilst Haverfordwest is only 10 minutes away for supermarkets, tourist information and a view of the lovely Cleddau river. The cottage is owned by Nolton Stables, just opposite, where you can join a beach ride and experience a canter on the beach and a ride in the sea. A bucket list item that I didn't know I had!! A 15 minute downhill walk will bring you to Nolton Haven for an evening drink. A brilliant base in which to spend a few days.
Cottage booked through Quality Cottages, picture shows setting different to actual, noisy as very close to the road and parking tricky and only for one car! Decor leaves a bit to be desired and quite old fashioned inside! Garden is a bit ramshackle and lawn could do with mowing! Kitchen facilities are good and cottage nice and warm!

Oct 13,2020We enjoyed a lovely country getaway at Stabal in Anglesey. The accommodation was perfect for 2x adults and 2x children and could have accommodated more. The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The cottage was very clean and modern and we were able to enjoy playing outside with our children (big thank you to Diana, the lovely owner who plucked our sons kite out of the gutter). Great location for exploring Anglesey and only a short drive to Newborough forest and beach.
