We had an enjoyable holiday at 'Dylan's View'(why Dylan's View? it's proper name is Ty Albion - much nicer) as it is in a lovely location and we could walk to the beach and the castle. Llansteffan is a delightful olde-worlde beach resort which is clean and tidy. It has good parking and a brilliant brand new children's play park which was much appreciated. The house itself is well located on a quiet road. There are views of the estuary from the upper windows. It is charming and spacious, homely and quite comfortable but I could not describe it as a Quality Cottage! We liked the 'Barbershop' area and generally found most of the furnishings comfortable. The beds were fine and linen and towels clean. There are some quite large holes in the bedroom floor. In the kitchen the cupboards and drawers were not clean and some of the china needed washing. There was enough of every item but it could be difficult to find matching mugs! The kitchen tap needs attention and the draining rack is very unsavoury. The Dining area is pleasant and light. Once one has spent a frustrating ten minutes opening the bi-fold doors it is also airy. These doors must have been in need of replacement for some while and no excuses about lock-down and customs will suffice. Buy British maybe? The 'garden' is dull and most of the chairs need a good clean. The gardener came and mowed the grass and he is efficient and friendly. ALL the windows desperately need cleaning. There is no BBQ which most holiday properties do now provide. There are NO shaver sockets. There's a driveway and we wonder why guests have to park in the road when they could be using this. It would help both guests and the neighbours. The worst feature of this property is the downstairs 'shower room'. It is so tiny one has to dry and dress in the utility room! The sink is miniscule which means there is effectively only one useable wash hand basin for up to 8 people. Using the sink in the Utility room is not an option as there is no plug. The shower itself works but the fitment is coming away from the wall and it's really difficult to turn on and off - hand-bruisingly difficult. The shower room could have been cleaner too but it must be near impossible to clean it properly. The bathroom was clean and the flooring was nice. However, no matter how hard the users tried it seemed impossible to have a shower without water leaking out. Users became more adept as the week progressed but, here's a great idea, how about a really good new shower cubicle? For families with small children my criticisms will be mitigated to some extent by the two living areas; convenient bunk-bedded room; heaps of toys and by the relaxed feel of the house. Finally I have to say that this is probably the only holiday home I have stayed in where there was no 'fire equipment'. A rather old extinguisher was finally located (no instructions as to where to find it) under the sink but it's the only one in this large old building. There's no fire blanket. In my opinion it needs a fire-safety overhaul, especially given the age of the house, the exposed flooring, the draughty doors etc. There is no first aid kit either. So ... mixed feelings. A nice place to stay which could be so much better.

We had an amazing holiday staying at Mulberry House on the Pembrokeshire coast. The property is only 3 miles away from the sea but located in a quiet and serene valley. Very spacious so great for a family of 9 - and the beds were very comfortable and showers had great pressure. Very large kitchen and really cosy, and the cows kept us company in the field next to the cottage on some days which was fun for the children and the adults! All in all a very successful holiday as we were blessed with great weather! Thanks Howell and Guy for looking after us so well, especially the lemon drizzle cake which was exceptional, along with the 3 smart TVs in the kitchen and both lounges!

We stayed at Delfryn cottage in Manorbier for a week in August 2021. The cottage was overpriced and tired I'm afraid - it looks like the photos were taken a while ago. For example, very lumpy old mattresses, broken toilet seat, old towels and bed linen, kitchen poorly stocked with chipped crockery. There was nowhere to dry towels (a heated towel rail would have been useful), and no shower curtain/screen for the shower so the bathroom gets wet with every shower. It was also not cleaned very well, despite the extra time for "deep cleaning". It feels like there has been very little investment in the fixtures and fittings in recent years. We have raised these points with Quality Cottages to pass on to the owners, so hopefully they will make improvements, but we will definitely not be returning.

We stayed at Spring Cottage St Nicholas Pembrokeshire. The cottage was very well equipped in the kitchen. It’s an old house with lovely original features in a great location . It backs into the churchyard and was a 2 mile walk to beautiful Abermawr beach. The garden was sunny but unloved. The rooms downstairs are dark and cold so we were pleased it was a sunny week and we could eat outdoors. There was no washing up liquid nor hand soap in the bathroom and only one dishwasher tablet. We thought this was rather mean given the price we paid. The host said this was Welsh Covid rules but we stayed elsewhere in Wales and this was not the case. We feel we needed to be warned about the things we needed to bring as we were 20 minutes from a shop. There was no house manual to help us. We would advise the host to manage the garden.

We had a lovely 2 weeks at Island View in Aberdaron. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The fresh eggs and milk on arrival were welcome! We loved the sea views from the front of the property, and the peace and quiet. Just 10-15 minutes walk into Aberdaron was great. We love this beautiful area and the cottage was a great base to visit favourite places and explore new ones. Thank you.

Quality cottages failed to tell me that our deposit would not be refunded, repeatedly ignored us and we were accused of damages that were there before our arrival resulting in our deposit not being refunded. Having stayed all over the world and being very respectful people it was very disappointing to be treated so poorly. I don’t think I have ever dealt with a worse company. If you do book with them be sure to take photos on your arrival and make them aware of all damage as soon as you get there.

We spent a lovely week at Secret Waterway, lovely cottage with beautiful views across the Cleddau. Really peaceful location, a little longer to reach the main beaches but worth it for the location. The cottage had everything we needed, was very well maintained and clean. Booking was easy and we were provided with instructions for our arrival and had no problems at all gaining access to the cottage. It was a lovely welcome arriving to a bottle of wine and some Welsh cakes.

Ty-Glan-Afon, Bontddu A fantastically located, very comfortable and nicely furnished cottage with superb views. Warm welcome pack from the owners was much appreciated. Great for exploring this exceptionally beautiful area of north wales. Also, very easy booking experience and useful updates leading up to our holiday.

Beautiful cottage in pretty rural location close to village. We spent a week at Worthy House in August and loved it. It was so luxurious and well equipped; the owners have thought of everything possible to make your trip as relaxing as possible. A library of books in one of the bedrooms delighted my son, in particular. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and countryside walks close to the house. My husband loves to cook and had a better equipped kitchen than at home. We were disappointed to have missed the fact that there are loads of board games in the trunk in the sitting room though! We only spotted this on our last day. The nearby village is cute, good for walks but not so great for dining out and the local shop has very basic offerings and no fresh food. Fortunately, the delights of Tenby are a five minute drive away.

Delfryn was the perfect cottage for myself, my husband, daughter and labrador. Nice cosy cottage with stone steps up to a terrace with a bench table & chairs. There is a sea view and we cooked fresh fish from tenby up on the terrace. Not ideal for toddlers or people with limited mobility. The beds were comfy and the kitchen diner was a good size. Living room was cosy. There was a shower head over the bath which was ok but would have prefered a proper shower. There was a shed which contained a large chest freezer plus another space to store mountain bikes/ body boards etc. We were a stones throw from the castle inn pub and manorbier castle. One thing to note..when we turned the lights off there was a few creaky and knocking noises in the night..17th century cottage with a lot of history. However we found it to be cosy and welcoming. We will return next year.

Stayed at Ferryboat House, Pembroke Dock. Lovely house, clean and well equipped and great views. Weather very cold for our week (Aug 21), lots more to see so while still there looked at availability for next year, and decided on a week, approx £1700. We live in Wales, and like to support the economy, so planned to book when home 2 days later only to discover that in the few days between our decision and coming home, the owner had increased next years price by £200 to just over £1900 (wonder if they could view our searches?). We are still tied to school summer holidays. Quality cottages explained that owners prerogative and maybe due to Covid losses etc. The house is booked for many months to come, and much as we would love to have stayed again, the increase in price is ridiculous and unjustified. Case of killing the goose that laid the golden egg, and seems rather greedy. A week in the UK for almost 2K is extortionate. Sad but will look elsewhere.

Our stay at Highgrove was exactly what we had hoped it would be - lovely amount of space, very well kitted out in all areas and very easy to feel at home in. We felt thoroughly rested by the end of our week there and we would definitely recommend Highgrove and Quality Cottages!

The cottage was in an excellent location with a great view from the garden which was ideal for the grandchildren to run around in. The cottage was clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped with comfortable beds and clear instructions for everything. There was plenty of space to park our two cars. I would love to return.

I do not believe a member of your team has tried to reach out to me. I use 2 email accounts which I use on a daily basis and I would have noticed if you had sent me a message on either of them - there has been no message. Also I provided my mobile number via Trustpilot and no one has contacted me on that either. Yes the problem still exists! I have been in email correspondence with Quality Cottages since April 2021 and please note I reported the problem via telephone way before that! It is a shame that none of this correspondence appears to have been made available to you or you would have known exactly what the problem is and the background to it. All I want is for the issue to be fixed. This company do not appear to have a customer service ethos. I have been trying to resolve an issue on 'my account' with them for over 12 months now and despite numerous assurances the issue remains unfixed. At the time of writing this review (August 2021) there is no one in their Sales Team willing to take ownership of my complaint and they seem unwilling to pass me on to someone who will.

Easy booking process and clear instructions regarding arrival and departure from Nyth Bran, Tresaith. Tresaith is a lovely hamlet and Nyth Bran is a 5-10 minute downhill walk to a lovely beach. Walk uphill back to house is not suitable for people who struggle with fitness! House itself contains everything that a large family needs although needs modernising throughout. House has been cleaned throughout on arrival although there were lots of dog hairs and dog smells from previous occupants. Edit: attentive owner has contacted me since the review and apologised profusely. Has promised in the future to ensure cleaning company to a better job. Issue appears to be with cleaning company. Cannot fault owners

We stayed at Seaborne Cottage, Pwllheli for a week in August 21-a much needed holiday. The cottage was perfect for our requirements, safe for a toddler and with lovely views over Pwllheli. We were pleased not to be staying in the town-it was peaceful where we were but also handy to walk down to the shops etc
