Apr 07,2025Faith was patient and professional and guided me through all the step and kept me informed along the way. There were some stipulations to validate the insurance policy but I was given sufficient amount of time to provide the supporting documents and sent reminders.

Apr 06,2025Absolutely avoid this company. I was initially quoted a reasonable price through a comparison site and asked to call Quote Detective to proceed. Once on the phone, the price was hiked significantly—but I reluctantly went ahead. Seven months later, due to serious health issues (including a organ transplant that forced me out of work), I had to cancel my policy. Despite being over £300 in credit, they claimed I still owed money. I explained my financial situation and the reason for cancellation, but instead of showing any understanding, they relentlessly hounded me for payment and threatened debt collection. I told them I was willing to go through debt collectors so I could set up a manageable payment plan. They completely ignored this and took money from my account without consent, despite the direct debit having been cancelled long before. Their lack of compassion and shady business practices are disgraceful. I strongly advise against using Quote Detective.

Mar 29,2025I took out van insurance with quote detective after being told by them there was only one company which would allow my no claims bonus from car to be carried over to van. This is not true, many do. I also specifically asked about European cover to which I was told was included, upon reading the insurance details after taking the policy it stated I had to pay an additional premium for this. I subsequently cancelled my insurance 3 days later at a cost of over £170. I feel I was miss-sold and that the £170 charge for cancellation after 3 days is extortionate. My new insurance with a different company is around £400 cheaper, covers more miles and is a more comprehensive cover, European cover is also included for free. I feel Quote detective are an extremely unscrupulous company and recommend avoidance of their so called 'services'.
