i'm just waiting on them to do my check. The costs through letting agent is ridiculous to stat with. They phoned me today (foreign woman who couldn't speak in English very well) to try and sell me broadband!!!! Totally unprofessional and has NOTHING to do with the job their supposed to be doing!! I'm now worried that they will mess up my application, as they are obviously more concerned about making some extra money from selling broadband deals. We all know companies like Experian, who charge about 2 pounds for a credit check. its not rocket science. These people are not to be TRUSTED IN MY OPINION. UPDATE: LETTING agent just called, they lied to him about why they called me!! Good news for us is application accepted, reference okd. However, i'm paying 6 months rent in advance, so i was obviously not scrutinized (no need is there?). 50 quid for no work, good earner for them I'd say. THEY LIED to the letting agent though, guess they knew he would be annoyed they were trying to sell me an internet package. Charlatans in my opinion.
Abs terrible Abs terrible. Very stressful and long process. Thought we finally got the checks out the way (even phoned rent4sure and they said was all good to go)... All completed and to phone the letting agent to find out when we can get the keys to move in only to be told by the letting agent that it had come back as failed from rent4sure. We Had to drop the house we was going for. Save yourself the hassle and Dont use.
Wouldn’t allow for an error to be rectified in my application forcing me to source a guarantor. Would not recommend at all. edit: in reply to your response, the fact that it was an error in the form and simply a missed field, you could have easily have updated that in order to prevent the rigmarole that left me needing a guarantor unnecessarily seeing it was the only part of the application that had issue and both myself and the estate agents were aware of this. Had i not been in a position to get a guarantor, which im sure many people are, i would have lost the flat because of your companies unwillingness and incompetence. Not only that but the fact that you asked for landlord details for referencing should have super-seeded this as it was obvious it was in error. You were just unwilling to change things and made my life a lot more awkward. If the field is SO important that, some kind of UX and checking should be applied to clarify and prevent this...which there isn't. It is simply poor customer service and a complete lack of your interest in the customer, which is evident reading through the countless other negative reviews on this site.
Awful. Never known anything like it. Need so much evidence and just wastes your time, easier to get a mortgage! Doesn’t work if you are self employed either.
shocking was acting as garrentor for someone was asked to send so much evidence over and over again to which i do not have time for as i dont work for them. after the whole process was complete which took a month no thanks what so ever just ask your tentants to pay highier deposit and avoid this terrible service

They massively inconvenienced me by contacting the wrong people, not using my signed and dated permission to contact them sheets, making me call them from abroad on holiday, making me chase them myself. I called their helpline and they couldn't help me but I asked them to stop sending me someone else's name and address, which they said they did. They said they would but didn't so I repeatedly got sent personal information of another lady's full name and address and reference requests. HUGE GDPR breach! They took so long it got to the wire, I was worried I wouldn't make the planned move in date. After a lot of chasing from me and the letting agent we did it!
We submitted the forms on the Sunday afternoon, We were then called on the Monday morning by Rent4sure to say that the checks were complete and we signed the tenancy agreement with Homes & Steeple on the Tuesday. Therefore two working days from start to finish.
I have been charged for a new broadband to be delivered at my house (still waiting and it has been 3 weeks) and when i’m calling the customer services, they don’t seems to understand what is going on! Bottom line no know can help me or seems to know why i can’t get my contract started, why there is no account under my name (but yet they took my money) and even better no one is willing to give me my money back. Worst services i ever had in years!!!!!!!
Very prompt and efficient when processing our referencing for a tenancy. Checks were completed within a day and half. Rent4sure kept us informed of where our application was up to and what information they were waiting for e.g. employers reference advising they would let us know if any additional information was required. Followed up with courtesy call when checks had been completed and returned to letting agent. Found staff friendly, helpful and professional. It was a very quick and easy process. We viewed property on Saturday. Completed application on Monday and by Wednesday lunchtime had received call to say checks had been completed and within 30 mins letting agent had called to confirm application had been successful.
GDPR breach - sent me details of another persons salary and address. Didn’t action any of my references. Lied to me and my letting agent. Avoid.
