William (Will) did and excellent job explaining the various pension options without any "hard-sell" - I was given the facts which allowed me to make an informed decision. Will was easy to contact and responded very quickly. Once I had submitted my forms, Mollie also did an excellent job explaining the next steps and proactively keeping me informed - I was never chasing for information. Final point was how little time it took from submitting my forms to the pension being set up - very impressive.

Dec 09,2024In October an annuity which was arranged 5 years ago by Retirement Line matured and I needed to get a replacement. My thoughts returned to Retirement line as they provided an excellent service the first time round. Sure enough this time Josie and Mollie from Retirement line provided me with all the information I needed including numerous quotes and provider details in a very efficient manner and kept me informed of what progress was being made. I can’t fault any of the way the process was handled and would not hesitate to recommend Retirement line to anyone.

Dec 06,2024We bought a fixed term annuity. The adviser George Gilbert was incredibly well informed, polite and clear in his emails and phone calls, and we were able to discuss options and select exactly the product we wanted with a full guarantee period. The differeences between products was clearly speeeled out as were the implai ctions for futire pension contributions. The application process was extremely straightforward and done by George and team with only a few pages of the agreement needing to be signed scanned and returned. From giving them the go ahead to getting the annuity finalised was less than 3 weeks! Much shorter than the 8-10 weeks we had been prepared for. This was helped by both the insurer and the SIPP provider being on the electronic transfer system Origo. On the admin team Roland Ewins was very helpful and clear in his calls and his emails, and everything proceeed very smoothly and quickly. Warmly recommended. Their commission (about 1.5%) was very fair for the excellent service we received. Also - we felt there was absolutely no pressure to continue if uncertain. A really first class company.

Dec 04,2024Danny Page from Retirement Line was able to assist me with options and provide guaranteed annuity quotes. During the initial call he guided me through the various types of annuities and the available options such as lump sums and death benefits etc. After the telephone call I was sent my individual underwritten annuity quotations by email and post to compare and make my own informed decision under no pressure. Following the initial process I was introduced to his colleague Amy Rogers who wrote to confirm that she had processed my application and my annuity application had been sent out to be actioned. She followed the process throughout with outstanding knowledge and attention to detail keeping me informed/up-to-date at all times. Both Mr Page and Ms Rogers were extremely efficient and professional from start to finish. A real asset to any firm I would say. I had just about given up trying to get through to Legal and General to sort out an annuity plan . Dan’s advice was excellent and the whole process was completed by Terry in a very organised manner . Dec 02,2024To be honest, at the start, I had doubts about enlisting the help of any annuity broker. Afterall, this was a good chunk of my entire life savings I was entrusting them with. Nevertheless, I contacted a number of brokers in search of a good deal. Some of the brokers were pushing hard for the business, contacting me almost on a daily basis. But George Gilbert of Retirement Line kept a prudent distance. When I contacted him he responded immediately with the best annuity quotes. He didn't pressurize me. He simply gave me the facts and made changes to the quotes based on decisions I had made. This all happened over a period of 5 months during which he called me twice maybe. I called him half a dozen times. When I finally decided to go for Retirement Line's quote, they acted very quickly. Terry Finch took over the processing of the purchase. It all went very smoothly. I was kept informed of the progress. Although, during the transfer, there was a period of around 5 days when my pension pot disappeared from the online portal but I didn't get any feedback either from the pension provider, Retirement Line or the annuity provider about what was happening. I think my hair turned a little greyer during those 5 days. But it all came good at the end. I got a terrific deal from Retirement Line and great service from George and Terry.

Dec 01,2024Denise Hyland was the first person I had dealings with at this company and she was very helpful and informative; I felt from the outset that I trusted her (and the company) with my annuity purchase. She is very approachable and updated me constantly, both over the phone and via email. I also thoroughly appreciated the very easy to understand retirement pack that was sent to me. Once I had signed the contract with the company and gave the go ahead to purchase my annuity I was passed over to Terry Finch; again a very approachable person over the phone and via email. I was informed every week about progress between my pension provider and new my annuity company, and it only took a few weeks to get to fruition; my first annuity payment has been banked. I wholeheartedly recommend this company. I researched it thoroughly via Companies House, the FCA, and read many many reviews and am therefore happy to add my comments too. Thank you Retirement Line
