Mar 26,2024It is so easy to book Royal cars, having used them previously I rang, automatically recognised me and my taxi was with me in under 5 mins, also as a single female they always send a text with the drivers identity and license number which is greatly reassuring, also very reasonable fares, I unreservedly recommend them.

Mar 24,2024I've been using Royal Cars for quite a while, for both short and longer journeys. Overall, the experience has been really good. They keep you well informed from the time you book (send a confirmation text straight after booking, message you when they've dispatched the taxi, and call you when they've arrived). They are also always on time and I've had really nice and polite drivers. However, I'm not putting 5 stars as the booking process can be slightly frustrating. When you call to book, you first speak to a machine who should be able to take your booking. In my case, it never understands my address, and after a few minutes, it always forwards my call to a person. Once, it asked me to confirm my address for more than 5 min before transferring me to a person, which was a waste of time. And on another topic, I once had a taxi that had a very strong smell on cigarette. It was fine as it was only for a small journey, but it would have been way more inconvenient if it had been a longer one. But despite the few negatives, I keep coming back, so I'd still definitely recommend!
