A very well located chalet and comfortable. The saunas were very much appreciated. Our chalet girls, Bronte and Liv were fantastic. They were really helpful and the food was very good. The cakes were amazing. Would definitely recommend this chalet. The best thing was making new friends to ski with. And the skiing of course.
Great from start to finish. The chalet staff were particularly brilliant. We were truly ski in ski out and we got a very sociable bunch of guests.
Great chalet location, great hosts and a very nicely decorated and well maintained chalet.
Absolutely amazing experience for our first time skiing. Our Chalet host ‘Mike’ went above and beyond and really became part of the family! Bob was Mike’s manager and he also was absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much, they both provided numerous recommendations, skiing tips and Mike even joined us skiing on his day off. The chalet was lovely and had everything you could need. The only downfall slightly was the very thin pillows of which only one was provided, Mike kindly sourced us some more however as soon as we asked. The food was beautiful and the afternoon tea went down very well each day. The bacon sandwiches that Mike made us at 4am on our departure morning were the cherry on top of a fabulous week with Skiworld. We’ll definitely be back.
Great chalet with great staff
Capable operator. No significant glitches. All fine.
They were absolutely amazing - they couldn't do enough for us both the booking agent and the staff at the chalet. Will use again and again - I am veggie/vegan and all my needs were catered for
Brilliant from start to finish. Wonderful food from our hosts and they were great company too.
Accommodation was first class, As were the chalet staff.
Chalet Charmant at La Plagne is a cozy space, best if not full (it was for us). It is about a 50 m walk to the slopes. Bar, restaurant, SPAR store and ski rental options are nearby via steep stairway. Our chalet host was fantastic. Pluses: sauna. Minuses: no working boot warmer, cramped/crowded entranceway.
Very efficient team from booking to getting on the ski slopes. We couldn’t have asked for more!
Very good service, amazing food and very friendly chalet hosts. Beds we’re comfortable. Would definitely go again and would highly recommend
A group of us stayed at Chalet Sarenne in Jan 20. The chalet is advertised as 5* but only deserves 3*. The hosts were charming but the chalet description and photos were misleading to say the least. I gave Skiworld the opportunity to explain their misleading information but they replied with a set of poor excuses and offered a £30 reduction off any future booking. Due to our experiences we would not choose to stay with Skiworld again and hope that any future customers are made aware of the inconsistencies of the publicity surrounding this chalet. Photographs and descriptions are of no use if they are not correct and represent the facilities you are going to enjoy. TV not working, No roaring fire, No throws or cushions anywhere, different furniture certainly not as described, dirty pillows no dressing robes, no toiletries and the Sauna and Steam room were not on unless we turned them on ourselves so after a tiring day on the slopes you had to wait some time to enjoy these facilites. If you are any doubt of my critism please take a look at the description and photos yourself. Cath Mantle
A really fantastic holiday in Le Plagne. The chalet was in a perfect location with great views from the balcony. Our room was clean and spacious and the communal area was Warm, welcoming with plenty of seating. Our hosts were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The food was good- as was the wine! We had the luxury of having a hot tub which was very welcome after a days skiing. Something to note is the chalet is one of the highest in the block so you have to carry luggage up a few flights of stairs. Just a couple of things that would have helped - there were 4 of us and we pre booked 2 rooms but only one was available and our friends were relocated to another room on the next floor down. Piste maps and other information on the local area were not available until later on our 2nd day. Our hosts day off was a Monday which was not ideal when we had only arrived on Saturday evening . Not much chance to explore the local eateries available to us.
Our first trip to Les Deux Alpes. Booked through Interactive Resorts/ Skiworld. During the booking process we had to cancel one single booking and were charged £150 for the pleasure, on the basis that the room couldn’t be filled, this had to be paid. We were not given an option of room choice or how we wanted the beds made up, this became apparent on arrival, the hosts had not been informed. We arrived at Grenoble and were directed to our coach, very easy. Met James the Skiworld rep, who was very informative and helpful. The trip to resort was a couple of hours and the coach comfortable. Dropped in resort, we were met by our host who walked us to the chalet. This is where it became interesting, we were all ushered into the living area with our bags, shown the toilet and offered refreshments. It was very cramped. We waited a while to allow the hosts to wash the floors in the bedrooms. Admittedly we were early, but this is down to the flights arranged by Skiworld/Titan, so check in at resort was bound to be early. We were then told our allocated rooms and off we went. Our room was OK, plenty of hanging space and drawers, but the sink was in the room with shower and separate toilet. I had specifically requested not to have this room. All our 3 rooms had been made up as twin rooms. The hosts changed this to doubles when we went out. See comment above. Back to the chalet, not enough seats in the living area, and the dining area had a lovely big table in it, but it was cramped when everyone was seated. 4 Plastic cups were provided to use on the hot tub. With 14 guests in the chalet, it was tight and condiments, bread, butter was all one end. Additional sauces and vegetables were put at one end, so depending where you sat you either got extras or didn’t. We were looking forward to a hot tub on our first day, but this was not ready as the water was cold. This was the same on the second day. Food was served evening with a gong, and food choice was displayed on the blackboard each day. Food was average unfortunately, and the vegetarian options uninspiring. Monday night is chalet night out, and breakfast was left for Tuesday morning, this really was a few croissants, ham, cheese and bread. Not really much for a day out skiing. 2 course meals each evening with wine. Hot breakfast option for 5 days, 3 days with beans. The disappointment with this chalet, was that the rooms were not made up each day. No fresh towels mid week, floors dirty and the bathroom cleaned only once during the whole week. I understand that this may not be a big issue to some people, but after a day out skiing and being on holiday, it to me is a basic part of being away. The ski boot area was good for drying boots, but not big enough for everyone to boot up in the mornings, we were asked not to go into the sting room area, with outside boots, but with 14 people all getting ready this proved quite challenging. By the end of the week, there was grit in the bed, the bath mat was a lovely shade of brown and the towels damp. We lost a sock under the bed and retrieved it with a a huge layer of dust. We have in the past stayed in chalets where a daily room check is the norm. The chalet bedrooms were all filed, so In theory, I should get my deposit back. Interactive Resorts will gave to look into this as I was informed this was down to the owners of the chalet, who were were told is the owner of Skiworld. On a plus side the location of the chalet was good, once the hot tub was ready, it had a good view of the mountain. The hosts were friendly, but I think it is their first season and will improve. Food did improve throughout the week, the Skiworld manager and Becky cooked the meal on Wednesday evening which was lovely. James was excellent. The pick up was smooth, however the coach very uncomfortable for a 2 hour journey. This chalet will likely be amazing for some people, but on this occasion though for our trip it did not tick the boxes.
Don't bother - tried to book a holiday - first the information on the phone was incorrect and I had to tell them to check their own website then they said they would get back to me - chased again still no response - if that is the standard wont be booking with them
Chalet Clementine is in Balcons 5, Val Thorens, managed by SkiWorld. We were assigned a 'small twin - suitable for a cot' by Igluski/Skiworld without being explained room options on booking, and arrived to find the smallest room I've ever stayed in, with a tiny window at the top. Nothing like the large rooms pictured on the website with balconies. We could not fully open the door, the double bed took the whole space, with not even one foot to squeeze around to the other side. We could not open the suitcases on the floor on either side of the room. There was so little space, we would have had to change in the corridor. Other rooms in the chalet were much bigger at the same cost. This was a single room, or storage area, pretending to be a double room. There was definitely no room for 'a cot' let alone ourselves! We had to buy another room elsewhere as it would've been impossible to change there. We ended up paying double for the whole holiday. SkiWorld were unsympathetic on return, refusing to admit any liability or accept that there must be a minimum basic size for a room for two people. We were told that we had to take it to arbitration, which will cost us even more money. Do not book with SkiWorld or Igluski. This did not meet the standard size for a double room at even the most basic level, and therefore ruined our holiday.
We pushed the boat out for our honeymoon and booked a week at Chalet Nimbus in the lovely St Anton - so lovely that it felt very much as though we were interrupting the chalet hosts enjoying their own holiday! The swimming pool was too cold to use, advertising showed atmospheric fire pits and balcony furniture, instead there were piles of rubber matting and ashtrays. Food was often inedible - reheated (but not all the way through) pancakes for breakfast.... lovely. The chalet furniture was sparse, old and broken, as were lots of the lightbulbs despite well stocked store rooms - my husband got so fed up that he changed 5 bulbs himself. Afternoon tea should be a lovely treat for guests, but only after they have braved the germ ridden kitchen to find and wash up mugs to eat the cake that has been left on the table since breakfast. As a special honeymoon treat from Ski Solutions (who we booked with) we were treated to a free upgrade to a room with a balcony, only trouble was that it was simply a door onto a balcony that had a 3m long stretch of doors looking directly into another guests' room. Perhaps some people like that sort of thing. It also took 3 days to get any response from the resort manager about booking an off piste guide - be warned if the powder is coming, do your own admin or risk missing out. St Anton is marvelous.
On this occasion i felt this was an exceptional circumstance where the standard of service has been shocking. when we were on the bus the skiworld rep only gave a short piece of info there was no information provided about the resort or events over Christmas but it never came from the host either. There was a catalogue of problems which it was clear that no one was taking ownership of nor did we get communication about the issues raised. The rooms were very basic and small and pokey! We never had any tea or coffee made for us, at breakfast or at any other point, The plates were never warmed for our breakfast or dinner making our meals cold very quickly, except on one day when someone different served breakfast. We complained about the temperature in the room for 4 days as the radiator didn't work, then on the 5th night a oil heater was left outside our door to address the situation. We complained about the smell of sewage in our room (5) on arrival at the same time as the radiator and it was clear that our complaints weren't being taken seriously and despite complaining every day the smell was ALWAY present which meant it was very unpleasant returning to our room and apparently skiworld were already aware of this issue of sewage. One of the days when I came back from skiing several people said they had had to have a cold shower, and when I waited for the water to heat up there was still no hot water, however someone did come around to address this problem. I had to wait a further 5 hrs for the water to heat up to have a short warm shower. It was never explained what had happened to cause this problem or what had been done to put it right and my wife had to let the heating engineer in to do his work as there was no staff member at the chalet. The chalet seemed to be generally poorly equipped, although we were told it had been refurbished this season. It was difficult to see how it had been refurbished since I couldn't see any new items in the chalet. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling also the chalet had very little sound proofing and every morning we were disturbed by Staff arriving and going up the stairs with shoes on and being noisy banging around in the kitchen. No first aid kit in the kitchen or anywhere else and no fire procedure briefing. No television,. No key for the door to the individual rooms or the communal door for 3 days leaving all our possession at risk, there were 2 guests we had never met before that we were sharing with which made this situation awkward. No shower gel, but a 1 inch square piece of soap! Initially no Christmas tree or Christmas decorations, and then when one did arrive there was nothing to put on it. This meant there was no special Christmas feel to our holiday for the first half of our holiday. No firewood for the log burner, and when we asked for some repeatedly, it took 3 days to arrive. The table has a bench arrangement which means that everyone has to move if one person on the end wants to get out from a corner. We asked for a change of towels towards the end of the week since we couldn't dry our towels properly due to the radiators and heater in the bathroom being out of commission and whilst we were promised them we never got them. The skiworld website states the bathroom will be cleaned once a week and this never hap

Feb 29,2020I had a fabulous time. Skiworld made everything so easy, the accommodation was lovely and extremely clean and the food was delicious. The highlight were our chalet hosts!
