Jul 29,2021My name is MR KAUSHAL PATEL, recently we have had our conservatory build by SMITHS last year around September/ October 2019. I have a leak inside the conservatory where it is dripping water inside from the roof, and also the gutter outside is dripping the water from the joint and as mention previously (in an email) the corner where it was leaking water I had someone from your company came and look at it and he did some seal around it, but the water is still coming inside from the corner so that need to behave a look at it again. Also, the double door that leads to the garden is not locking after we open it to go into the garden. WHEN WE TRY TO CLOSE IT AND PULL THE HANDLE UP TO LOCK IT, THE HANDLE DOESN'T GO UP WHICH PREVENT IT FROM LOCKING, SOMETIMES WE HAVE TO LEAVE THE DOOR UNLOCK AS WE CAN'T LOCK IT. WHICH IS A RISK, SOMETIMES IT LOCKS SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T. I have to say the customer service is really really poor/bad. I have sent an email to sales, on 18th June 2012, but no reply. Then I sent another email on 08th June 2021, I got an email back from them with a link to fill in a request call which I did but guess what no call or reply. I have sent another request call back form again today. Tried to call the office but no answer. These issues have been going on for more than 1 month. I would not recommend this company to anyone who wants work done.

Jul 09,2021After my first review you asked for more details about my claim and informed me my guarantee was halved to five years from ten. I supplied these, my review was accepted by Trustpilot but still you do not reply, Do I have to take you to court to get a small blown window replaced because you can not be bothered to look after your customers and call them back after request for service via the web site and phone when the sales team called me. Seems one department is working but no one for contractual repairs.

Jul 06,2021Survey first class fitters first class ,after sales I don’t think exists waited 4 weeks for someone to adjust our window and still waiting ,no communication even though I filled in there service form on line . if I wanted more windows fitted sales team would be round in a flash ,and contacting me every second .now we have decided to have the rest of the house done,I will be looking else where.

Jul 02,2021A private family run business who we had used before to do the windows at the back of our house. From quote to finish we were really happy with the service. Maggie our rep. showed us the model which helped us decide it is what we needed till we could afford to do the roof. The design helps ensure rain water is kept off the walls and prevents overflowing down the walls when tiles move. The plastic strip which goes into the gutter sits just beneath the tile, so we don't have any gaps for rain water to slide down our walls. We did it just before the last big thunderstorm hit which helped keep the damp coming inside to a minimum (just need to render the walls now!). Steve our surveryor was great as he highlighted the possible issues with neighbours guttering attached to ours and debriefed us of what to expect. Helpful to confirm the size of our windows as that's the next job waiting to be done with Smiths. The two chaps who did the work were clean and kept us informed and cleaned up after themselves after each day which our neighbours were impressed with as we live in a semi-detached house with shared drive. Good time keeping and communication as to what was being done over the 2 days. Highly recommend Smiths as the prices are reasonable and advice being provided is sound and have to say the fascia job was booked in for fitting far quicker than we expected and well in time before the really bad thunderstorm hit us. I would recommend to at least get a quote from Smiths and compare prices. They were our cost-effective solution and only company we knew that could fit the guttering work in ASAP to help us control our damp issues cropping up around our building due to wet weather this year and tiles constantly moving away from the guttering.

Jun 30,2021After deciding on the door and agreeing a price I paid a deposit. An appointment was made for a full survey where precise measurements were taken plus other details. I was then given a date for the installation. The door was fitted on the agreed date and the fitter arrived promptly and completed the work in a reasonable timescale and cleared up when he had finished. He demonstrated how to use the door and the lock and gave me 3 keys. I was contacted a day or two later to pay the balance. I was very pleased with the process from end to end and I am delighted with the new door.
