Overall, my experience using SOLD was generally positive. Initial negotiation and onboarding in particular was very smooth. They also honoured an offer that drew me to them initially. All people I interacted with were always courteous, friendly and respectful. They kept their promise of finding a buyer within 30 days, although the agreed price that I signed up with them on was not a price they were able to secure - this is the reason for knocking off a star.

Ellie has done a great job getting our listing up and ready quickly. The marketing looks great! So far, so good! Hopefully it will result in lots of interest and viewings.

The most stress free way of selling your property. My flat was marketed 25/04, offer accepted 29/04 and sale completed on 24/06. After previous sale had fallen through I couldn't be more grateful for the speed and ease this was completed. Special thanks to Dipesh for his efforts in getting this sorted.

Started to fill in their “instant valuation” form until I realised it was no such thing and just a ploy to get hold of my details. I didn’t submit or complete the form, yet they data captured my personal information and have harassed me by phone, text and email ever since. Since I did not complete or submit the form, I did not give them consent to contact me or store my information yet they have done both. Wouldn’t use them now, think this is shady and pushy, exactly what I don’t want to deal with when selling my home. Will be contacting them with a formal request to erase all personal data they hold of mine.

Honest, realistic opinion with expert helpful advice. You don't pay for glitzy advice with shiny cufflinks from a youngster and thankfully that's not what you get.

From the moment of arranging a viewing with Sebastian and also having to contact Sebastian & Dipesh (especially Dipesh) numerous times during the Sales Transaction, I am pleased to say that finally today we have Legal Completion & Key Release (the property was bought @ Auction 22/4/22). Having not bought an Auction property before I needed advise and reassurance as the sale progressed (especially with the tight deadline). I am so grateful for the patience and understanding shown. Especially from Dipesh who I sometimes needed to contact quite often. Thank you all for everything! I can highly recommend this Company & Staff.

Dreadful. I asked them to value my property, at the point I told them I had contacted a high street agent, the chap I spoke to proudly went on to tell me how his “bullish” (his own words) tactics lock buyers in by scaremongering them into leaving a none-refundable £1000 deposit with his company prior to even letting them view a property. Not only is this immoral but it would also scare away any buyer who happened to be asset-rich and relying on the sale of their own property to complete a transaction. His valuation came in at £25k lower than another agent, and he made it clear that they do this so that he can pocket anything over asking price. Impressive stats, but these rely heavily on the post-covid housing market boom which I’m sure every other estate agent has also benefited from. I recorded my call (only because I needed to refer back to the valuation with my partner as he was unable to make the appointment with me) and will be forwarding the contents over to the FCA. Truly dreadful! ** Update, my home which the MD of this company valued at £200,000 just sold for £240K. Bearing in mind they bank on profiting anything over asking price, these cowboys would have pocketed £40K from my sale.

So far so good. After having my initial evaluation, I thought I’d share my positive experience with any prospective customers of Sold. The whole assessment of my home was conducted in an easy but professional way. Everything was explained clearly and I felt valued at all times. My recommendation for any one considering using their services, is go for it you will be in very safe hands. Michael W Salter

I signed up on the lure of a quick sale, and was told by their valuer when signing up that if it hadn't sold in 30 days, I would be able to go elsewhere easily, as Sold.co.uk would be happy it wouldn't sell quick, which is their USP. The small print actually said I had to give notice in the first 21 days, so was stuck with them for another 30 day period. In the 60 days I was with them, I had 3 viewings (including one no-show), plus one that was supposedly booked in but the viewer wasn't sent a confirmation email so didn't attend. It therefore felt as thought they had overstated all the potential buyers they had lined up. After Sold.co.uk failed to sell in 60 days, I went with a local high street agent and had 6 viewings booked in the first week and an offer in excess of what I would have received from Sold.co.uk within the first couple of weeks. The only redeeming feature of Sold.co.uk was the onboarding process, which I think is managed well. After that, it's a bit rubbish. Edit: As a real kicker to the poor service, the appointed key holder (seemingly a separate service company used by Sold.co.uk), as well as not being available at most weekends for viewings, disposed of my keys and building fob rather than returning them to me.

When I found a flat I wanted to buy here in Sheffield I was disappointed to see it was not on sale with a local estate agent but with Sold. When I saw they offered a no fee deal without a sale I was even more worried that they would look after the seller and be ruthless or ignore the expectations of the buyer. I’ve been so wrong. They are a dream. They are so personal, so responsive and keep their finger on the pulse. Our purchase has been a nightmare and still is in process. It has already taken 6 months to purchase a flat even though we have cash and there is no chain. Sole’s agent Sophie has spent hours and hours chasing everybody- seller, solicitors, letting agency. She is a star, they are a brilliant company and if the sale falls through it will not be through lack of hard work on Sophie and Sold’s part.

Fantastic chat and valuation unfortunately despite our rush it didn't happen. If your house is not sold already here in Wales there is no point in putting in an offer or even wanting to go to see properties. You have to be sold first. Because we want to go back to UK we now know what to do first now. Will definitely use SOLD in a few weeks once we know prices and areas in the UK where we can buy.....

I had a great experience with the sold.co.uk team. They were quick to respond to emails and they explained the process well. From start to finish were thorough in their approach and I am satisfied with the job.

I’ll start by saying that everyone I dealt with at Sold was polite, friendly and helpful. They are fully up-front about their business model and for a small number of people it is possible that sold.co.uk is a good option. For those people, I am sure they will have no issues. However, I don’t believe the model is a good option for most sellers. By giving you a set price and taking 100% of anything above that, Sold set themselves up to earn commissions far above what a typical estate agent would take. In my case, they ‘offered’ me £290k for my property and immediately listed it at £300k, ultimately getting an offer even above that. That means straight away they were looking to take 3.5%, and eventually ended up with more like 5%. A typical estate agent would charge around 1 or 1.5%. As I say, they were clear about this so I wasn’t hoodwinked, but I agreed to it because I assumed they were doing something more than an average estate agent. But are they? I was told that the property would be listed to their database of investors for 24hrs, yet in fact it went live on RightMove immediately and when I asked about that I never got a satisfactory answer. I was also told that many of the viewers would be investors and cash buyers, but in practice they were no different to the types of buyers who had come through the agent I’d originally listed the property with. So, if all they’re doing is listing your property on RightMove and then organising and conducting viewings, what are they really doing to earn a commission that is 2 or even 3 times larger than a local agent who would do just the same thing? Yes, sold.co.uk might get quick sales in many cases but that’s because they’re working with people who are in a rush to sell so are offering very low prices. If you are happy to price your property that low, you could get a quick offer with any agent. And while they reel people in by offering a ‘fixed’ price, in practice this means nothing: there’s no more guarantee you’ll get that price than with any other estate agent, and unlike a home buying company they’re not putting up their own cash so really this is just a way for them to lock you in on a price that they think is lower than the property will sell for, and then maximise their own commission. So, I’d urge you to think really hard about what specifically are Sold doing to earn their potentially huge fee. If you still think they’re offering enough to justify paying them that much then that’s fine - crack on! The people are nice and the service was good. But don’t throw money away, consider just listing with a regular estate agent and dropping the price to get your quick sale. You’ll pay less commission, and if the property ends up selling for more, you’ll benefit instead of all that money going into sold.co.uk’s pocket. A final point - I was also drawn in by the very positive TrustPilot reviews. It was only after I signed up that I realised that as soon as your property is listed online, sold.co.uk ask for reviews and offer Amazon vouchers (in breach of TrustPilot’s terms of use). That is why so many of the reviews on here admit they are written so early in the process that the review is meaningless! And since they are bought with vouchers, I’m not sure how many we can really trust anyway. Be sure to read the reviews carefully and don’t take the overall score as any kind of guide. As an add-on note, many months after I wrote this review, sold.co.uk tried to have it removed, forcing me to 'verify' it with Trustpilot. How many people, six months after writing a review, would respond with documentary evidence within the three days necessary to avoid their review being removed? That makes me wonder how many other negative reviews have been quietly removed - yet more manipulation of the review system. Do not believe the overall stats!
