Feb 22,20252nd review after having the Stannah lift a couple of weeks over a year. It has constantly broken down or engineers have found issues with it on service inspections. Latest breakdown yesterday - now out of warranty period which is only 1 year - it was installed 25/1/24 so have to go through Housing Association which is pretty dire - engineer came out late last night said it was fixed. As it was 11pm went off on the stairlift upstairs and it broke down again at the top. Had my previous stairlift 3 years and the only issues I had were just found on service inspections (it was considered a poor lift). Sorry Stannah you do not deserve your reputation at all. I am not able to afford their £400 yearly charge for repairs and callouts. I didn't realise it was just over a year old when I rang 21.2.25 - agent told me it was out of warranty by a long while (3 weeks is a long while in their opinion!). Considering the lift has never really been fit for purpose since installation you would think they could send someone out. Most of the engineers have told me these lifts are a bit of a nightmare (new model; lots of problems). If you are considering purchasing a new Stannah lift I would advise you to do your research very carefully.

Feb 21,2025From ordering to installation I was very happy with Stannah. The man who came to look at my (very awkward twisty) stairs was helpful and reassuring. The fitters who came were excellent. Polite and aware that at times my husband needed to use the stairs while they were working. Nothing was too much trouble. Thankyou Stannah you have made life so much easier.

They all treated me with kindness, patience and time to understand the working. All in all it has changed my life and turning my family house into a bungalow. Many, many thanks to you all. Feb 19,2025Excellent service. The engineers are very knowledgeable and polite. Notified at each step before arrival. Clarification at each step on what they were doing, addressing any problems or issues with the chairlift. Overall very pleased with the service and company as a whole.

Feb 18,2025We have just had our first free service after 6 months of trouble free motoring on our stair lift from Stannah. Engineer arrived on time following a couple of texts plotting his journey and eta. Chose not to park on our drive as he had a small engine liquid leak, very thoughtful . Pleasant guy, explained what he was doing, left no mess and all was well. Gave me one or two tips on keeping everything running smoothly. Perfect !
