Simon called before arriving to tell me when he’d be, he arrived on time and carried out the meter replacement efficiently with very little inconvenience - the electricity was only off as long as required.
The engineer, Balal Ali, was fantastic! Very polite and helpful he went above and beyond to make sure my meters were installed correctly. He even had to go and collect equipment from another engineer! He was also very informative when showing me how to use the new smart screen.
Chris Wemyss was really friendly! He really knew his stuff and even didn’t mind my toddler round his feet. Lovely guy!

After fighting EDF for months to get an obviously faulty Smart Meter replaced, the ombudsman finally forced them to replace the unit. Jonathan Teeder came out and replaced the unit quickly, and then battled EDF again until they finally updated the connection at their end, allowing the IHD to spring into life. Without his tenacity the fault would have remained on the system, and is a credit to the company.

Many many months! and a lot of long calls (54 minutes one of them) - where there is a complete breakdown in communication between ‘Provider’ and ‘Scottish Power’ for dual fuel meters. If one is broken both need to be replaced. Call centre cannot handle these requests and you get caught in a loop where each time an engineer arrives they’ve been instructed to do one thing but it’s either not what is requested or, the meter doesn’t have the right fitments to support the upgrade. Feel like there would be an easy solution to fix this operationally - on the Scottish Power end as ‘Provider’ have been great!
