I bought my bike from Surge in July, and they were excellent, gave great advice, helped me choose the right bike and accessories. Great service as you would want when spending a bit of money on something. What makes them stand out and deserve 5 stars in my mind is that I had a small unexpected issue with the bike at the weekend, dropped them an email to let them know and as soon as they opened today they have collected, fixed and returned my bike - amazing service. Highly recommend them

Recently used the Cycle to Work scheme to purchase an Orbea Urrun E-MTB. The guys at Surge Bikes did a great job helped me tailor the deal to suit my needs. The bike was ready very quickly and communication and customer care was superb throughout.

I was very cautious about using an online retailer, but the good reviews spurred me on. I contacted Surge about placing a cycle to work order and the communication was excellent. My concerns were clearly responded to and an explanation as to how they ship bikes was also reassuring. I love the purchase and the support from Surge - this is in spite of the long delays faced in actually getting my order. This wasn't due to Surge, but due to an issue with supplies to the UK for Tern products. Which I hope improve for future customers. Surge were very communicative, once the order had got to them, they got it to me almost next day! I had a warranty issue early on, despite being many miles away Surge took the details and immediately sent out replacement parts. Overall - a really positive experience. If I had to buy another e-bike (which I hope I don't) Surge would be my first choice. Thanks Matt & the team.

My new NBD TERN bike ticks all the boxes of what I needed in a bike. I am short and getting older and needed a bike that was easy to step through and to put my toes to touch the ground when I needed to stop. Yes it is expensive, but I looked at a range of bikes and this was the only one that was suitable and comfortable and had the oomph to get me where I wanted to go. I also needed one that could carry lots of shopping. I like the suspension on the saddle as it softens the pothole experience of riding on our roads. Pretty good battery life for each charge too. Finally I chose a bright red version as I like to decorate my bike with silk flowers and the red colour sets them off perfectly. I have been called 'An old lady on a bike' but now I am also very colourful one! Matt has been extraordinarily helpful and always prompt in his replies and advice. The bike arrived within 2 days and was very well packed.

Very impressed with the customer service. An online order isn't processed until they call to discuss with you whether your chosen bike is suitable. Was apprehensive about the bike being delivered by freight company, and had not used blink payment processing before, but all good, no problems at all. Great range of quality bikes to choose from. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love my Orbea e-bike. Having always been a cyclist and now in my 70’s my new bike is giving me confidence to go out and be more adventurous. I can now tackle longer distances and hills knowing the power assist will get me there. It’s just brilliant!

It's been almost a month since I purchased an Orbea Gain D30 from this company. First experience of electric assist cycling after riding normal road bikes but age catches up with you and am loving the experience. Would thoroughly recommend Surge Bikes. From the start of an initial enquiry through to picking up the bike from them the service was first class especially from Matt Cooke who would reply to my questions (and there were a few) via email very promptly. Nothing seemed too much trouble for him even replying outside of store opening hours and on days when it was closed making it feel as though customer satisfaction was his top priority. The staff in store on pick up were also very helpful. The whole experience of purchasing a new bike from Surge Bikes was excellent from start to finish.

I ordered an e-bike from Matt and the team at Surge using cycle2work. It was straightforward enough to order, although because of some confusion with the method of payment from my employer's benefits scheme, there was a delay in the bike being shipped. Once we got past the hurdle delivery was fast, bike was set up just needed adjusting which a local bike shop could do and it was ready to ride. If I were buying myself the Surge Boost looked like a great scheme, they have great bikes, and great accessories too.

Booked a test ride with surge bikes and travelled to the shop by train. We were collected from the station and driven to the shop. The bike was great and I was able to purchase it and take it home that day. Brilliant service!

Matt was super helpful throughout and the bike arrived quickly with no delivery issues. Everything on the bike had already been set up and (as it was an ebike) software updates were already completed so that it was ready to ride. Fantastic service and highly recommend them.

Having research bikes and suppliers, I contacted Surge Bikes and spoke with Matt ,who gave me sound professional advice on my requirements. I placed an order for an Orbea Gain D70 on his advice. The Bike arrived a week later on a pallet well packaged and protected. The bike is awesome, exceeds all expectations in range and quality. I had reservation about ordering without seeing the bike or visiting the shop, but no need. The whole process from phone to payment to delivery was smooth and professional. Highly recommend. Purchased a Tern HSD S00 from Surge. Had great communication throughout the process with Matt, who answered all of the queries I had about the bike and compatible accessories. It was delivered without any problems and the instructions and videos relating to the delivery and making the bike road-worthy were really useful. The whole process was quick and painless. I would thoroughly recommend Surge Bikes - and the Surge Boost is fantastic value!

Recently purchased an electric gravel bike a Mondraker Dusty R from Surge Bikes. Prior to the purchase I visited the shop and spoke to Matt who was extremely helpful and despite me calling in without an appointment he happily spent time answering my many questions & queries. Altogether after two more visits to the shop and more questions!! I purchased my bike which was delivered later on the same day, how’s that for service !! A couple of weeks later I phoned regarding a small niggle I had with the seat post clamp to which Matt replied “no problem bring the bike straight in and we’ll sort it” which they did. (Thanks Chris your help was really appreciated). I can’t speak too highly of Matt and his team and am very happy to recommend Surge Bikes to anyone thinking about buying any type of electric bike. You won’t regret choosing Surge Bikes.
