Apr 17,2023I had a "senior" moment and didn't check what days Surge Bikes was open when I ordered a Tern Vektron from them. Planning to pick my new bike up on my way from Scotland to catching a ferry on the south coast I only noticed they were closed on Mondays when I entered their details in my satnav. Matt went out of his way to help and arranged to be at his shop at a pre-arranged time so I could.puck up the new bike and still catch my ferry. Service abive and beyond.

Apr 11,2023Dropped my Orbea Vibe H30 which I purchased from Sigma Sports for a diagnosis due to an mechanical issue with the bike. Surge managed to identify the issue and fix the problem with my bike within 4 days despite being closed for 2 of these. Where sigma sports refused to have a look at my bike due to inconvenience, surge exceeded with their service. Would definitely recommend Surge for their amazing customer service, also great showroom and friendly staff, Thank You

Mar 29,2023Bought an Orbea Rise from these guys after visiting. Showroom has a good selection of bikes to see and try. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and helped me settle on my final choice. Delivery from Spain only took a couple of weeks and Surge delivered the bike to my door (Guildford) and ran me through main features and set up before leaving. They even threw in a set of pedals to make up for the fact that the price dropped a little after I had bought!

Hand delivered the bike and all the accessories they include which is an absolute bargain. Not only are they the only retailer I could find with any stock of the tern GSD but they also had an amazing offer on added accessories that no other retailer can match. I just wish I lived closer for getting the bike serviced! Very happy with the bike so far, it’s my ideal car replacement.

We exchanged several emails re: stock availability, always with quick response from the shop; I visited the shop and had a detailed explanation of the bike's capabilities, alongside comparison to alternative models; no hard sell; had a quick test ride and that was that. They even delivered it to my house later that day (although I do live a only couple of miles from the shop). A perfect reason to use your local bike shop!

Jan 27,2023We recently bought a Tern GSD from Surge Bikes and the service from Matt and the team at Surge Bikes was fantastic. We have a Tern dealer local to us, but this was a BIG purchase and we wanted our money to go as far as it could. Having shopped around it seems there's very little price difference from dealer to dealer, but I spotted that Surge offer money towards accessories with their bikes. This was great, as to get the GSD kitted to carry two kids we already knew we'd need some extras like the Clubhouse plus. I gave Surge a ring and Matt was actually able to point me towards an ex-demo bike that was a higher spec than we'd been looking at and came with all the accessories we'd need and at a great price. Matt also knew the bike really well, and whilst we'd already done lots of research and was pretty sure it was what we needed, took his time to check that it was the right bike for us. We were sold! From there everything was super straight forward. The bike arrived via pallet delivery really quickly (Hampshire to Devon) and was incredibly well packaged. Matt was super responsive on emails for any questions I had about getting the bike going (all silly questions from me as I was too excited to take my time and do things logically). We've had the bike a couple of weeks now and love it and have had no issues, but I'm confident that Matt and the team will be on the end of the phone or email to help us out with any that do arise. If anyone is thinking about getting a cargo bike, I definitely recommend a Tern GSD, but more generally I'd recommend Surge Bikes for any e-bike purchases.

Jan 19,2023Awesome customer service - really helpful staff that were more than willing to assist with any query. I purchased an e-cargo bike through the Energy Savings Trust loan fund and the Surge staff assisted with the application evidence which helped speed up wait times. The bike arrived in good condition, delivered on a pallet, and has been thoroughly enjoyed since! I chose the Tern QuickHaul which enables me to shuttle my toddler to and from nursery. A great positive of Surge Bikes is that they give you 10% of the bike value in free accessories - so useful when purchasing a cargo bike (or any others for that matter!). Brilliant bike that comes with integrated front and back lights - the only thing I had to purchase was appropriate gear and a decent bike lock. The Bosch power pack seems great and came with lots of information and specific keys for the pack. After around 10 hours of battery use, at the first or second level of assist, only 1-2 bars have reduced so haven't had to charge it yet. Super happy - thank you!

Apr 18,2023Matt was helpful and efficient, we couldn't buy a Focus e-bike locally but Surge Bikes sent it well packaged. It was easy to assemble following the instructions on their website and I have a happy wife enjoying her new toy! I will use Surge Bikes again :)
