Nov 15,2021I placed an order for two items which were dispatched in relatively good time. Sadly my order was not fulfilled completely and a note literally scrawled on the delivery note said “ item unavailable Sorry” however the item was live on the website when I placed my order AND was still being marketed as available which was in sharp contrast to the hand scrawled and barely legible apology on the delivery note, which isn’t acceptable. The company DID refund me immediately but should NOT have taken the payment in the first place if the item was out of stock as they later claimed. Overall an underwhelming experience and somewhat disappointing, I was not offered an alternative nor was I contacted by email offering me the opportunity to update my order which would have possibly kept the company a sale and not sent me looking elsewhere for a product. The service wasn’t abysmal it was just very disappointing. Independent businesses need to step up their game if they hope to prevail in a fierce market of online shopping. Further to the response from this company: Apparently completely ignoring the points I raised yet my describing a scrawled and barely legible message on a delivery note as not polite or helpful really doesn’t address the issues I had with your company. The point is you need to learn from it and try not to repeat it. How that isn’t helpful, heaven only knows.
